The List of 'Make A Change' Websites! So, you've decided to come to the 'Make A Change' Thread? Well, good for you! You definatly won't regret it! The Make a Change thread is all about helping people. No, we don't actually go out as a group and help people on the streets. But what we do is something way different. We are still one group, don't forget that part, but we use the internet as an advantage in our lives. Most people use the internet as a resource for school projects, recipes, typing papers and reports, and games. But what most people don't think about is, how can I use the internet to help others? Well, like I said earlier, you're in for a real treat!
I've found some websites that donate to multiple different things, only if you participate. For example, I know Freerice.com is becoming larger (so you may have heard of it, or played it before...) but what they do, is give you a word, and you have 4 choices of the definition. Get it right, and the website donates 20 grains of rice to poverty-stricken countries, and you get a harder word. Get it wrong, and they donate no rice, but you get an easier word. You may think, how could 20 grains of rice add up to feed a person? Well, everyday the website calculates how much rice has been donated, and usually, it's over a billion! See? Even if one person only gets 100 grains, it still contributes! And, in just one day, I, alone donated 20,000 grains! Think of how much we could get if this whole guild took part!
Now, that's only ONE website. There are so many others, some similar, some totally different, but each one helps others in need.Freerice.com~They give you a word, and you have to guess the definition with 4 multiple-choice answers. Get it right, and they donate 10 grains of rice, and you get a harder word. Get it wrong, and they donate no rice, and you get an easier word. You can also change the subject in the top right corner of the box. There are: Art, Chem, Geography, Math, Spanish, French, German & Italian. You can also change the level.Clicktogive~Click the different tabs (including hunger, breast cancer, child health, literacy, rainforest, and animal rescue.) On each page, all you have to do is click a button, and sponsors pay for it.Care2.com~Click the different tabs (including global warming, rainforest, seals, oceans, big cats, primates, children, pets, stop violence, breast cancer, and daily action.) On each page, (like the above website) all you have to do is click a button, and the website donates. However, you may only click each tab once a day. To keep track of your personal progress and how much you helped, you can sign up to make an account.Goodsearch.com~Like google, however, you type in the name of any charity, and anytime you search something on goodsearch, the website will donate $.01 (approx.) to your selected charity. It may be little, but it sure adds up. Please use goodsearch as an alternitave to google. ^_^Save the World (one click at a time)~Like some other websites, there are 8 tabs on the left (including animal charities, environmental charities, health charities, hunger charities, children charities, womens charities, homless charities, and other charities.) You can click on the different links, and it has a list of websites (like this one) where you just click to donate. There are over 100 websites to visit and click for! I highly reccommend browsing through this website! They have a huge list!Savepups.com~This website is closely related to freerice.com, however you play to give kibbles of food to sheltered animals that were most likely abused. You can play for cats or dogs. To switch the animal you want to play for, under the featured pet's picture, click the 'I want to play for ____' button. You can also register to earn bonuses.Important Note: None of these websites cost anything, and you don't donate anything with your own money. All of the websites are non-profit organizations that are sponsored. All you have to do is click, or play the 'games' and the website will donate.

I'm a member of Care2. 8D
And FreeRice is so much fun. They have much more subjects that vocabulary, though. Even though I'm, like, a level 50 in vocab, I do so much better when I'm doing countries for some reason. @__@"

I wanted to switch this thread because I knew more websites than Care2, so I thought I should probably share those too. I know Freerice has more than vocab, I forgot to add that though. Thanks for the reminder! I still think that vocab is the easiest. I like doing the spanish one too, though. I've only completed my second year of spanish, but it's still fun!
