“I love you, too.” Alicia whispered in reply.
The couple was lying on the floor of Alicia’s room, Ray’s head resting on her stomach. It was almost midnight, and he had snuck into the house through her window. This was no surprise to her, as she had called his cell, asking him to come.
She stroked his cheek, her soft fingertips barely touching his skin, sending chills down his spine. His eyes were closed, his hand absentmindedly brushing against her thigh. Neither said anything, unwilling to shatter the intimacy being together in silence brought.
Alicia’s stomach grumbled, breaking the quiet. Ray let out a soft chuckle while Alicia blushed in embarrassment. He propped himself up on one elbow, now hovering over her rumbling tummy.
“Time for a midnight snack, eh?” He said, poking her stomach with his free hand.
“Guess so.” She replied, giggling. She moved to get up, but he held her down, smiling deviously. He twisted to give himself better support and began tickling her sides with both hands. She squirmed under him, trying to push his hands away, but he was relentless, maneuvering around her hands to keep tickling her. Suddenly, he leaned up and pressed his lips to hers in a quick kiss. Her face flushed.
“The tummy overlords will be very displeased if they don’t get food.” She said finally, sliding out from under him. “I’ll be back in two seconds.” She opened the bedroom door and stepped into the dark hallway.
“One Mississippi…” Ray quietly called after her. He heard her giggle echo down the short hallway.
Alicia returned after a minute, a bag of gummy bears and a bag of marshmallows in one hand, and two cans of soda precariously balanced in the other. She set the food on the desk beside the bed and sat down, patting the spot beside her.
“The tummy overlords will be very happy with your selection.” He said teasingly, sitting beside her on the small bed. She handed him one of the sodas, and together they opened the cans as quietly as they could, for Alicia’s parents were asleep in the next room.
After taking a sip, she set the can down and opened up the bag of marshmallows, taking out a small handful.
“Catch.” She said, tossing one up in the air. He easily caught it in his mouth, but missed the next one she suddenly tossed at him. It bounced off his forehead and into his lap. She laughed as he picked it up and threw it back at her in mock anger. She stuck her tongue out at him and he playfully tackled her down on the bed, pinning her hands.
Ray slowly leaned down and kissed her ever so tenderly, releasing one of her hands to gently caress her cheek. Alicia ran her hand softly over his chest as the kiss went on, tracing the contours of slightly defined muscle. He released her other hand and lightly held her face within his hands, looking deep into her eyes as the kiss ended.
They gazed into each other’s eyes for what seemed like an eternity before Alicia finally closed hers and yawned. Ray chuckled at this act of sleepiness and kissed her forehead.
“You should be getting some rest, my love.” He whispered in her ear.
“But I don’t want to.” She mumbled sleepily. He just sighed and wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled even closer to him, yawning once more.
“I love you.” She murmured, her voice barely audible.
“I love you, too.” He said quietly, kissing her forehead again. “You’re so beautiful, you take my breath away every time I see you. And every time, my heart races faster than ever before. This heart of stone, finally warmed by your love.”
Alicia smiled weakly, sleep already taking its hold on her body. Soon enough, she nodded off into the subconscious world of dreams and fantasies. Ray kissed her lips softly, before slowly getting off the bed so as not to wake her. He pulled the blankets up onto her, making sure she wouldn’t wake up cold.
He rummaged around in her bookbag that was lying on the floor of her room. Finding the blank paper he was looking for, he then picked up one of the pencils on the desk and began writing.
Once finished with his note, he laid it down where she would find it and climbed out the window from where he originally came through, all while being careful not to wake his slumbering love.

The sun shone in bars through the half open blinds, waking Alicia. She squeezed her eyes tightly shut, pulling the blankets above her head. After a moment, she removed the blankets from her face and looked around, bleary-eyed. She spotted the note that Ray had written lying on top of her computer. She reached over and picked it up, rubbing her eyes to give herself sharper focus on the small words:
My beautiful angel,
I’m sorry I had to leave like that, but if your parents were to wake up and see me there,
I’m sure they would’ve filleted me alive. I love you, my dearest angel, and forever will that
be so. I will love you for always, even after my bones turn to dust and the memory of us is no more.
Your prince

Alicia finished reading the note, a smile forming on her lips. She mouthed the words, ‘I love you, too, my prince’, before getting up out of bed to get dressed.
[[It's short, and there's really no point to it. Just something that came up to me one evening while thinking of my prince. sweatdrop
EDIT: Oh, some of the things that Ray says were from notes that my boyfriend had given me in the past... And funny enough, the names of the characters are mine and his middle names. ^-^ ]]
