Black paws padded around the shores of the lake, locks of white hair fell over his piercing blue eyes which scanned the area around him. It was all white, the entire region covered in a blanket of snow, which wasn't surprising, considering that this tribe revolved around snow. His ears rotated on the top of his head, picking up the faint noises of movement. However, the white, black, and grey Modifox wasn't trouble much by it; this was an enormous tribe as he had heard, and his mother was a very reliable source for that information.
Yuurei continued on his way, looking for one of four foxes:: his father, Kinovu, his mate, Itsuki, or one of the two elders, Loki and Sahari. He was bound to this tribe at birth, and yet it had almost been two years since then and he had yet to meet the Elders. He didn't know if Akuma or Kinovu had even mentioned he or his brothers to the two elders. Either way, Yuurei had to meet them one way or the other, whether it be by his father or mate taking him to them, or a chance meeting where he conveniently ran into on or the other.

Skype was once again glad for her coloring - in this snowy land, her white fur and very light blue blended in perfectly, the only bit that stuck out being the black bands on her extremities.
All of a sudden, the aroma of many different foxes wafted up to her and Skype knew she was in Tribe territory. Great. The one place that she'd felt most homey in ages...
Sighing and shaking her head as her stomach let out a low rumble, Skype came to the edge of a cliff and looked around, scanning for someone to direct her to the Elder - when she happened to stumble into a Tribe's land and figured she'd be staying for more than a day or a night, she at least attempted to find the Elder and inform them. It wasn't to be courteous, no - it was for self preservation.
Eventually, she spotted a large black fox, too large to be a normal fox but as far as Skype could tell it didn't have wings, so it was almost definitely the Elder of the tribe.
Quickly but carefully she made her way down, clearing her throat as she got close enough. The lake was sparkling in the sunlight, nearly blinding her. The ebony of the Elder's coat offered relief from that, so she looked at him instead.
"Excuse me," she said quietly and smoothly, coming to a stop a few feet behind him. She stayed standing, her tail hanging behind her. Her claws were not out, her body was not in a posture of anger or edginess - in fact, the opposite. She looked relaxed, but assured and in control, as if she did this every day, as if she was not daunted by the huge fox that would wbe towering over her in just a moment.
Her tail twitched. Skype was growing impatient, but she kept silent, her emerald eyes trained on the fox in front of her. Turn around, Skype thought to herself, letting out a quiet sigh. Any day now.

Her muzzle touched the light and crisp snow that blanketed the ground of the tribal lands. It had indeed been awhile. Again. She had felt remorse for doing this, for always leaving for a number of days and weeks, without cause, without reason. This time there had been a reason, this time she came back to this snowy land mateless. Maybe the higher beings were simply letting it be known to her that an Elder like her was to be alone. And of course she knew she could only blame herself but, the Elder was back. And the snow was refreshing.
Sahari padded further into the land, sniffing, taking in the scent in the air to hopefully pick up a fimiliar scent. Everything around seemed so foreign, the land, the trees, the icy waters. The fox`s long tail twitched out behind her. It was evident that she was growing closer to thier main land, the faint scent of other foxes was around. It shouldn`t be long now before she found one of her kin. Would they be glad to see her? Upset? Thankful... Angry?
Paws dragged lightly over the snow as her pace slowed, the other foxes scent were close. Who would it be best to see first? Sahari`s gray ears flexed and twitched.
The caught scents drifting in the still air that she hadn`t recognized, were these new tribal foxes? Immediately the thoughts of her absence wore from her mind as her pace dainty rose to a mild trot. The Elder was eager to meet these new vixens.

Loki had been aware of the vixen's presence on his lands for some time. Though he was not blessed with any special powers (save communication with the Modeities), he'd grown used to scanning for foreign scents in the days where new foxes seemed to always be popping up.
Those days were long gone, he noted with a wry smile. The tribe had gone through difficulties lately, and many old members no longer made appearances. It was hard to say where they all went, but he had faith that the Modeities worked in this way for a reason. Now was a time to regroup and reunify those who remained.
Feeling the impatient stare of the stranger on his back, Loki eventually obliged and looked over his shoulder. "It is high time you showed your face," he remarked with a low chuckle. "I was beginning to think you would starve yourself in the snow rather than reveal your presence."
Perhap this female would be the sign of a new start. Perhaps not. Either way, he would make his tribe stronger. He would make himself stronger. Losing Chaussure...that would not be the end of his story. They had been too young when they tried to mate, and now perhaps it was best to move on. His tribe needed him. "What is your name, young stranger? I am one of two Elders of this tribe. Loki, I was named."
Seti trudged through the snow, his paws feeling heavier than they had in some time. In all the storms, he'd lost track of Nyra, and he'd been unable to find her again. He'd been separated from everyone in a bad storm, and wasn't even sure if his family was okay.
Hungry, tired, and just downtrodden in general, Seti looked up at the sky, trying to gauge when night would find the land. That was when the wind blew a familiar scent his direction. No...could it be? Taking off a dash in that direction, Seti couldn't help but laugh in relief when the profile of his female Elder appeared. "Sahari!" he called, skidding to a stop nearby in the snow. "We thought you were dead!"
Then, everyone probably thought he was dead, too. Shaking off the thought, he added, " Have you seen anyone? I've been lost for weeks, but last I heard a ton of foxes had gone missing." In his mind, he was hoping she could tell him where Nyra was. "I'm glad to see you're alive, Elder Sahari."
Remus wound his way through the trees, scanning the gorund for any sign of his family. "Umiko!" he called out as loudly as he could. "Athena? Mitsuko!" No answer. There hadn't been any answer since the last storm. He could smell recent traces of them, but none of them were fresh enough to lead to where they were; he'd already tried multiple times.
At least he knew they were alright. There were too many that seemed not to be, and many who'd been left mateless. Shaking his head, Remus picked up his pace as he came closer to the center of the tribe, trying to catch a truly fresh scent that belonged to his mate or daughters. "Umiko! Where are you..."
Echo, after several days alone, finally heard the familiar voice of her brother. Seti was alive! Not even bothering to be careful, Echo slid down the side of a snow-laden hill, only stopping when she crashed into him. "Seti!" she yelped happily. "You'realiveyou'realiveyou'reali..."
She noticed Sahari and smiled sheepishly, moving off of her younger brother. "I've missed you brother," she admitted, before looking back at the Elder. "And we all have missed you, Sahari," she said with a nod. "Grandfather...the tribe...a lot has happened." Too much. She sighed at the thought of Sachio.
Rae stood at her mate's side, looking over the landscape she'd come to know so well in the past years. Though the pair had been sepearated from their children and the others recently, Rae knew in her heart her children were fine. All were full grown, and smart. They would find their way back to the tribe center.
"You haven't eaten yet today," she reminded Kyou. "We should hunt before we reach the lake. If we meet many of the others, it will be some time before you have a chance to again." Hopefully at least one of the kids had made it back already; she missed them.
And what of her adoptive father? Loki of course made it through the storms, but Chaussure had been missing since before then. Was he holding up alright without his mate?
Aditu hummed to herself as she trotted through the tribe lands, her paws light in the snow. No storm would get her spirits down! Perhaps because she had never had a mate and didn't fele the loss as keenly as others, but even so. The tribe had not been destroyed, the lands were still here, and so was she.
It was with that midnset that she moved down to the lake and to Loki's side, perfectly aware of the stranger next to him. Unthreatened (playful as she was, Aditu packed a punch if she was attacked), Aditu plopped down next to Loki's shoulder and smiled at the female. "And I'm Aditu," she piped up. "The others will arrive soon."
