What's Your's?
our band does almost corps style, up untill 07 it was all out straight legged with roll step...
now we bend our knees a little...
i like ed the straight legged better bc it looked ccleaner...
So what's your marching band's marching style?

We glide step, and bend our knees slightly, I think... I know that we don't keep our legs perfectly straight, but yeah... Here is an example of our marching style... We won Marching Sweepstakes this competition, I believe. ^_^

I think we do straight leg with roll step... .__.;; Our instructor said something about less than 10% knee-bendage.

Our band does glide stepping, but the gaurd has to do backwards glide stepping, like toe ball heel.

time to break the treand... my band is SHOW STLYE
if you have seen colleges such as PVAMU, southern U, Jackson State, Grambling State, FAMU, Norfolk, Virginia State, Miles college
Or if you are familier with the movie Drumline, we are that style
Knees 90 degrees!!! horn Swaying!!! and straight POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!

We do high step (calves perpendicular to the ground, ball of foot 10 inches above ground, pointed toe, and SNAPPY). biggrin

roll step for us
and we dont bend the knee unless its absolutely necassary
it sucks but looks a lot better than other crap

We have bent leg marching style in my band. Our knees bend to where they are noticed easily. I don't really know any other name for it. http://www.kvue.com/video/bandweek-index.html?nvid=397846 That video in the link should be a good example of what it's like. It's only when we forward march (or do forward marching slides) that our knees are visible.

Affe der Dummheit We have bent leg marching style in my band. Our knees bend to where they are noticed easily. Heres how we marched last year..... IT GOT RE RE REFINED.... lol 2008 Unbound Unfortunately they don't have a video of Chain Reaction yet.... we already competed in Blue Valley Stridin' Tiger Invitational.... still sucks.... can't wait for Broken Arrow Invitational....*sarcastically* Youtube- Grain Valley Marching Eagles- Practice(Home Field)
