Personality.
Due to his rough childhood, Abhyagni is convinced that is a bearer of bad luck and everything bad that happens is his fault. This has led to a slightly pessimistic view on life, and also his desire to wander, never staying too long in one place. Despite this, he is loyal and loving to those who take the time to get to know him, although he can be paranoid and overprotective.
History.
Abhyagni hatched several days before a very large storm, and remembers very little of his parents except that he loved them very much and they loved him too. His strongest memory is of the storm itself, when a herd of kirkani attacked his parents. Both of his parents died defending him, and Abhyagni only survived the attack because the nearby river, swollen by rain, caught him in a flash flood and swept him away. He nearly drowned, and ever since has been afraid of rivers. He is also leery of overly abundant, warm river valleys. Since his parents died defending him, he blamed everything on himself and became morose and taciturn.
Later on, he met Enfys, a wandering stallion, and became fast friends. Together they roamed, and eventually ran into Iris, Lakshmi, and Tuyet, all of whom joined the new herd. Still pessimistic and unhappy, Abhyagni started to discover happiness as Iris and Enfys raised their first five foals and he discovered that he had a certain liking for Lakshmi... a liking that developed into love, and soon enough three little young ones, a filly and two colts.
Currently, Abhyagni is a proud father, although he worries constantly about their safety and his own "ill luck."
Note: There is no evidence that Abhyagni actually has bad luck or causes bad things to happen. It's purely mental.

Iris is pregnant, but nobody seems to realize it except for Tuyet. Abhyagni, being his usual cheerful self, is certain that she's ill and on the verge of death.

Iris' youngest egg has yet to hatch, and the herd has started to worry... except for Abhyagni. Unusual for him, he is certain that the egg is fine and even begins to think of the egg with a certain degree of fondness.
