So I go and check on my pathetic little aquarium. And I see a treasure chest in the bottom corner.
Thus, I get really excited. I click on it, and apparently I have to spend $.99 for a key so maybe I can win something worthwhile.

I understand Gaia needs money, but jfc.

I have gotten that thing multiple times, but it gets annoying eventually because I don't have any Gaia Cash, and my mom doesn't pay for stuff that 'you can't physically touch'. But I do have a Target gift card that I got for graduation, so when I get around to using it, I'm going to use it on Gaia Cash giftcards.

Not really unless you have a prepaid cell phone. That's the only way they can't charge you $10+ a month even after you cancel. It's been happening to a ton of people.

If you know what you're doing, it works. I haven't done any of the mobile ones or ones that require a credit card. The only thing I can complain about it the fact they spam my email inbox, but I used an email address that I don't care about.

You don't actually get money, that's where the scams come in, you have to stop right when they offer you the big prize.
Edit: I do believe a lot of them require you to be at least 18.

The ones I tried said "Click this to prove your 18 years of age" or something like that. Oh well.
