Okay so Ive never dated outside of band, never. I was in band, orchestra, jazz band, and i only ever dated people from there. but theres this guy, and hes not in band. i dont know what to do. is there something different about nonband folk then band folk? because i know that band kids are some of the dirtest minds out there, from experience. and what is it like to date a nonband kid? should i do it?

Hey I've dated a fair number of non-band ppl and some of them are ok, but you have to know if that person will understand when you've got a band trip or something..............
I dated a football player and he was good with that stuf.

As already said, dating outside the band isn't horrible as long as they are understanding with band stuff.
The downside is that they will not have all the previous band knowledge when it comes to jokes or things that are going on! It will seem strange for a while. xd

I dated outside the band... And it's not terrible, but... He was a rower. And he never let it go that I wasn't. (Granted, he was a jerk player, but...)
If you really like this guy, then go for it. It's a different situation for everyone, so it's really your call. As long as they respect you and your schedule, it shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm, I don't think dating someone outside of band would be much different. Well, you wouldn't be like, marching together. razz But he could go to competitions with you if you are in marching band and stuff. Hmm. Just make sure he respects that you are in band. >:[[

I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as you think they are a good person and won't try to change you then I say go for it, apart from what everybody else has advised the only thing I want to add is to make sure to stay true to your self...

I am dating someone outside of band...
I move too fast.
I think that it's ok as long as they understand the schdule.
I miss the ones in band though

i think its fine but you must i have a couple friends outside band and they get annoyed when i talk about band because, they dont understand or when i say "i cant i have band" then they get all mad or "can you come to this gig were in?" and they say they will but never show up or fall asleep during the school performance and you HAVE to realze if you are talking about band he might get mad and not understand

In my personal opinion, you should date anybody you want as long as they are not in your section. That's just instrumental incest.

ya i dated many non band people. but i did once date the biggest nerd at our school he was the sweetes person i ever met and then he said band was a wast of time and we were over

I've dated a guy from another band, outside of band and currently my band.
Staying in the family is sooooo much better lol.
