I think the title pretty much explains itself. How much do you practice????

Well, the only time I practiced for real was freshman year before symphonic band auditions. haha that practicing payed off, I made it in, one out of two freshman that made it. haha. But I LOVE band so I just bring my sax home and play becuase I love it. I guess you could call that practicing.

It depends. Normally, not often(though don't tell anyone. I say I practice everyday. hey, I bring my clarinet home everyday!) but whe something is coming up, like regionals auditions, occasionally. Right now I am at the occasionally part because it is summer and I am trying to keep my chops for next year, especially because I am one of the better clarinetists at my school.(Not hard. One doesn't care and has been on and off about quitting band[currently: I'm not sure. He told one of my friends he was qutting, but at graduation claimed the idea was proposterous(though without such large vocabulary...)] and the other isn't very confident and she doesn't have a high range.[I've been helping her out, at least.])

I practice 3-4 hours a day on my horn. I'm majoring in performance, though, so that shouldn't be usual. I'll be honest though - before I got to college and started taking private lessons, I'd only practice if I felt I needed it, which wasn't too often.

in my opinion no matter how good you are theres always someone better and theres always room for improvement. for me depending on how much homework i have i practice hour intervals 3 to 4 times a day. i too plan on persuing music as a career, but unfourtunatly im doing music ed and not performance since i have tendonitis in both my forearms and carpal tunnel in my right hand so i can't do the practice hours required for performance... gonk

I'd bring my instrument home every night and my section would all be like over achiever, but me actually practicing then was a different story. I'm much better about practicing now though

It depends... If there's a test coming up, I'll practice like crazy. If not, I don't really.

Everyday for like 2 hours. I have marching band music, youth symphony music, concert band music, plus solos and extra stuff.
