The center of power for the country of Midgar. Somewhere deep beneath the hollowed halls of this place is a giant Crystal, second in size and power only to the Mother crystal. The power of this crystal is enough to provide energy to the entire country. This excess of power allowed the company of Shinra to take control, and shape the country, literally, to its own desire. The end result is a country of double the landmass, as the natural land is overlapped by land of steel.
Beneath the surface of the steel country are those who can't afford to live atop the man-made structure. Holes in the structure provide small bits of light and rain to the people who live in the areas known as Slums. It is from these Slums that many resistance groups now mount their revenge.

This was a time where the law wassnt "just" enough so people simply acted by putting a price on others heads. "Take law in to your own hands, and let there crimes pave there way to hell." To many this was the outlook on life and to some that was life itself. You see when you put money on somebodies head it makes them a great deal more willing for somebody to bring justice upon them. Maybe they want them alive to teach em a lesson, maybe they just want them dead, those that pay for the bounty always state how they want em. The Hunters then people willing to risk there very lives for money, where the law of this land, the people that would bring justice in there own way to the land which the government didnt care for. The government... a corrupt group of politicians that spake of right and wrong from high up on a throne of gold, sitting in there office chairs looking over the poor common wealth pretending to care for the common wealth. They aint nothing but puppet masters for the company militia's, pulling the stings get there taxes, collecting the money from those that can hardly pay. The higher wealth does nothing but turn up there nose to the commonwealth believing there better, there blood money is just as stained as that from the wastelands.

Deep within slums of the city of Midgar, near its outer rim sat the bar known as "Devils Nest." Here the lowest of the low gathered, murders, rapists, you name it. Nearly every soul in this place had a bounty on there heads for some crime or another. Here is where the man known as "Red hands" Clay sat at a table with nine of his thugs playing poker. The sun was starting to set the light seeming to shine of the decaying metal from outside. The cards were dealt the men all looked at the faces of the others. Two of his men folded there hands, five of them hit, the whole time clay just grinned. "Yalls going to have to anty up, Cause im raising the stakes!" He would take out his peacemaker revolver and set it on the table. Most of his men looked together and back at him, with that five more folded there hands throwing in there poker hips kind of disgruntle they lost there hands. "Im gonna have ta call ya and raise ya..." The last two however called his bet they antied up there guns as well, then one of them raised the stakes and also unsheathed his knife and stuck it in to the table tip first. "And raise ya this!" Clay didnt look all to happy bout that, but he would then take out his second peacemaker and slam it on the table pointing both barrels at the man that raised. "...Ill call ya..." The look in his eye was obvious he was about to shoot him and take his money and weapons regardless of the games outcome.

That was the way of this world, but to bad for clay things were about to change for him in a very unpredictable way. In the upper tier of the bars balcony there was some type of ruckus, heavy foot steps of somebody running. "Come here you little s**t!" Somebody yelled and then threw the balcony, literally threw the railing a giant tackled a teen over falling down smashing down on to clay's table. All of his men, including him, moved out of the way before they crashed down on to the table, smashing it. I giant of a man laid on his back with the teen on his chest, the kid got up and started to move away since he didnt take the brunt of the force by landing on the giant. Th giant ached and groaned turning on to his hands and knees to slowly get up. "Aye you suns a bitches! We were in the middle of a ******** game ere, how you gonna pay up for i....!!!" Clay jumped back in surprise as the boy grabbed one of his peacemakers and was pointing it at the back of the giant head, the big man wearing a white long coat with the sleeves removed slowly stood and took a step forward to pick up his hat putting it back on his head, he would pull it down making it hard to see his face and he looked at the boy. "You aint planin on using that are ya kid?..." The man seemed to have no fear of the gun, and literally stepped up to the boy pointing the gun right at his face, a devious smile on his face. Clay stood back still trying to throw a commotion but nobody cared everybody was sweaty bullets from what was going on with giant and the boy.

The boy actually smiled back and adjusted his goggles atop his head slightly, and would grin right back at the big man. "Nah i aint planning on it.....but ill do what i got to do ya know!?" He pulled the hammer back on the peacemaker, the people of the bar would almost gasp from the noise of the cocking hammer....the room went silent, and the big man just tipped his head down. "...Brave words kid....good words to die by." Many people are wondering what events lead to this, what was going on, who the ******** these people were? Some would be answered in time, some never will be. Who is narrating this, is it from the perception of the boss clay? No, how about from one of his nine men? Aint happening, the boy or somebody else in the bar? Not quiet, this story belong to me, the giant with the gun pointed at his teeth, the man known as "The Grim Reaper."

Good words to die by were they? The threat of death wasn't really there today and he knew that full well. It could have been his arrogance or some other lingering emotion. But whichever it was didn't matter at this point. "Death..? Now that is something worth living for." He would just pull the trigger twice fast. Pause for a second and then do it again. He couldn't miss from this close, could he. That would be unreal. The whole time he showed a teethy smile. Ready for this outcome, he knew what it would be beforehand.

((First for initiative check, second for disarm check

78+29dex mod=107....doubt your passing it.
68+29dex mod=97 again doubt it, so try but hard to pass outcome.))

Giglamesh could see the intensity in the boys eye's he could almost feel the boy beginning to tense he trigger finger, and before he could fire giglamesh began to move. He would use his left wrist to hit the boy at his own gun holding wrist, and it was barely enough to cause the first shot to fly over giglamesh's shoulder, then giglamesh would begin his counter attack. With his wrist touching giglamesh would snap his hand around to grab the side and top of the gun, which was right when the boy fired the second shot in to the air, giglamesh with the barrel the gun in his hand would begin to roll his body in bringing a right elbow at the boys face, hit or not was not his goal. Giglamesh would bring his right arm over the boys arm locking the boys arm in place using giglamesh's armpit, then he would use his left hand to jerk the gun down and out of the boys hand, and immediately grasp the handle with his right arm which just came in to place over the boy's arm. Then in a returning motion giglamesh would lash his hand back elbow first at the boys face again and as he brung his arm across he would stop it aiming the gun barrel directly at the boys forehead, which he would c**k back the hammer and with a pleased grin from removing the gun from the boy. "...So...Give me one good reason why is shouldn't paint every body in this room with your blood and brains...." The look on giglamesh face was a dead serious one, he completely intended to kill the boy for his actions. No remorse no regrets, this was the way giglamesh lived his life.

"You know, we're not gonna have much time on this ship. Take Annia before she wakes up to the escape pod!" As the Bangaa gave the order to the seeq, Annia began to awaken from her slumber. "K-kupo? W-what's going on around here? Everythi-W-WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!" I mean...seeing a giant beak break its way into the ship was something you would never want to witness when you wake up. With that in mind, Annia began holding onto the seeqs clothing for dear life as the beak was ripping through the cabin. "This is a nightmare right, kupo!? Kupopopo! This can't be happening!" "Daguza! Move now! Take Annia with you and get out of here!"

"Wait...Monid, you have to come with us too! Daguza! Tell him to come with us!" The moogle cried out as the Seeq stood there lost in thought...if they do take the escape pod, then what's to stop the Pom foul from chasing the escape pod? This idea didn't sound the really well thought out. Unless his main idea was to get rid of the Roc? "Very well then...Annia, we have to go. Right now." As he made his way to the escape pods, he would notice Monid attempting to break some machinery within the weapon room. "Annia, Don't worry. I'll make it out of this. I've been in more dire situations than this." Finally breaking one of the pipes open with his trusty tools within the weapon room causing oil to gush out like a water fountain. "I'll take all these damn birds down with me...No bird can survive a god damn blast of this caliber. Heh heh..." Turning around, he would see Annia tear up and sniffle seeing what the bangaa had planned. Walking up to the two, he would reach towards Annia's jeweled pendant and press the button on the side of it which would open the ruby front. With that the pendant would begin to play a soothing theme that the three adopted siblings would create lyrics for during their hardships in life. The Bangaa would start his lines of the lyrics to calm down the young moogle.

"In this eternally expanding world, our limited lives burn on. Toward heaven, flap your wings like a bird
As if you continue to live on without hesitating.

Entering the pod, the Seeq would place Annia down into the escape pod.

"In order to not extinguish this light, I now sing this song. Let the Betrayal, Hatred, Faults and the lurking darkness of despair."

The feeling of talking pained her too much, the words wanted to leave but they felt choked inside her throat as she was was crying. But she needed to do this for them too for them to know that she would be all right. Drying her tears she would sing in her pure voice.

"Pass like the color-changing flowers through winter. If they were excepted even a little. Free the blue light of the crystals. Now with a little courage and hope, may the fantasy never end..."

"Annia, don't worry about us. We'll be there with you forever to keep you safe from harm. The Amulet was given to you to remember us all by. The only promise I want you to hold is to not forget the lives we all shared." With that, the seeq slammed his hand onto the button shutting the escape pod and launching it near Midgar. Meanwhile on board, the oil that was spilling out flooded the weapon room filled with the flares and explosive ammo. Yet again with their trusty tools and weapons, they would begin to hit the ammunition and flares to ignite the oil and cause an explosion in an attempt to destroy the monsters that surrounded them.

"No! let me out! We're gonna do this together remember!?" She banged on the walls of the pod until she witnessed the explosion which knocked her escape pod quite the distance away from it's original destination and the force of which the pod fell was even stronger. The landed wasn't going to be as nice as her parachute was burnt. "Kupopo! Please! Help!" As she plummeted to the earth, everything became blurry as she fell unconscious when she tried to pull the switch.

( pendant song song with the lyrics.)

[aww, didn't think you'd kill those two. oh well]

A huge final series of screeches would leave the birds before they were consumed in the flames. Thanks to the Roc having split the haul open, most of the Pom Foul had began to try and flutter into the ship meaning they couldn't escape when the explosion went off.

The constantly night sky of Midgar seemed to have a sun for a few moments as the ball of fire streaked to the wastelands. A few soldiers would be dispatched to go check on the crash site but there was little hope of anything having survived it.

[Arriving from Lebinheim]

The guards began to look suspicious but soon the car came to a hault. The driver called back that they were there.
A harsh light beamed into the car first and all the guards stood still for a moment. It was a search light scanning all who were in the car to make sure they were who they said they were. It cut off just as quickly as it turned on.

The door would open and Seirra would be allowed to exit the car. When she would, she would see A group of men wearing more warrior style clothing and carrying swords instead of guns. Each would have high tech masks on that would seem to counter their clothing even if the masks were designed to look like older helmets knights would wear.

A taller man would stand in front of the group, He was wearing similiar clothes but a different color and a more unique looking sword. He glanced to Seirra's car then to Ceh who was on the ground. "What happened to him? Why isn't he in more restraints?"

The guard that had hit Ceh chuckled a bit, "We didn't deem it neccisary 'sir'." He spat out the last part. It was obvious that they were from two completly different units of Shinra and apparently there was animosity there.

The MP adjusted his gun a bit, "He just got a little roudy so we had to calm him down."

"Why is he only wearing the magic reducing handcuffs?!" The officer questioned.

All the MP spun around to look at Ceh's wrists and, true enough, the ones meant to block strength had been removed somewhere along the way. "Heh, they were chafing my wrists so I took them off, hope you don't mind. And SOLDIER of all units. That's pretty high up there for little old me." Ceh said with a laugh.

Everyone whom had ever heard of Shinra had hard of the SOLIDER unit. A super hyper elite unit of swordsmen that do only the most dangerous missions for Shinra. Their own private army. The members of SOLDIER surrounded Ceh as two of them picked him up. More restraints were put on Ceh's arms and legs and he was carried off.

The area they had been let out in looked like your regular parking deck... if... you know, you're use to parking decks being underground, hyper high tech and crawling with guards.

The leader of the SOLIDER group would look to Seirra's MP guards and cut them a cold look. They instantly knew it was because she wasn't in any restraints but none said a word about it. "Take her to the interregation room."

Sierra didn't know of she should relax having now arrived at the Shinra HQ. She hadn't wanted to come but she was glad she no longer had to be in a truck full of those idiotic MP guards. But now she had to go be interrogated, yay sounds like fun doesn't it. Sighing she decided it was best to simply let them takeher and get it over with. Hopefully things would get resolved but something told her that it wouldn't, it would just get worse.

The sound of a monsters wail would flow into the parking deck and chill everyone to the bone. Only the SOLDIER members would stand strong, although most went for their weapons by instinct. The leder would hold his hand out to the side to stop them from drawing. He glanced back to Ceh then to the area where the sound came from.

"Hmmm haven't a few problems with the local wildlife?" Ceh began, "Strange though... that sounded like a Behemoth... a pissed one at that. Even weirder is, there aren't suppose to be any within 100 miles of the Plates, let alone midgar proper. Or is Shinra of Crossroads copying the real Shinra a bit too much and doing things they really shouldn't? You guys know that experimenting on monsters without the permission of Bevelle is Illegal." He sounded like a little kid who was finally getting his way. He was proud and smug and that just rubbed the damn guards the wrong way.

The leader of the SOLDIER unit glanced back at Ceh. He would turn on his heels and shift, beginning to move over to Ceh. Grabbing him by the collar, he would yank Ceh up off his feet, "Now listen here you..."

Another wail and this one was far closer. As they all turned to see it's source, on of the walls of the Parking deck began to crack a bit... something huge was trying to come through. When the wall would cave in, 3 behemoth's would come charging through.

Obviously, at this point, he would release Ceh and draw his weapons. The leader would begin to bark out orders to both his men and the MP. At this moment,Ceh nor the girl really mattered. Grinning, Ceh would move over to Seirra and wink, "Come on, lets take a nice little stroll while the big boys handle the little puppies." Ceh began to slink along the wall, past the attacking behemoths and through the wall they had pierced open.
PostPosted: Sat May 29, 2010 2:00 pm

Cold chills ran down her spine as she heard the sounds of monsters up above. What kind of place was this? By the sounds of their howls they seemed to be high level ones at that too. Her assumption was proven correct when Ceh mention they were Behemoths, her skills probably weren't good enough to fight them on her own but she had meat sheilds, the SOLDIER men. When they came crashing in she was already darting out of there when Ceh winked at her. "you don't have to tell me twice," she muttered to him as she followed behind him. After awhile she spoke again. "I think I deserve an explanation..."

He looked back to her for a moment and then shrugged. The shrug seemed more exaggerated than needed but then it was shown that he was using it to pop off the second set of handcuffs. Rubbing his wrists, he lead her down a few hallways. The sounds of battle should have been far away but they weren't. Everywhere they went they could hear the cries of men and monsters alike.

Ceh's face became very serious as he walked around trying to get his barings. She was right, she did deserve and explanation before he took her too deep in. Stopping, he looked back to her and then sighed...

"Fine, fine. You're right. My name is Ceh... as stated I'm an Al Bhed. I do freelance work for one person or another whenever the mood hits me. Have you ever heard of the Wave of Destruction?"

Who hadn't heard of it? It was taught to every kid in Crossroads since the advent of the Portals. When too many monsters gather at a portal, they become trapped within it, not materiallizing on one side or the other. The power generated gathers more and more monsters at various portals. Eventually, all of these trapped monsters overload the hold capacity of the portal and it spits them all out in one point like a wave crashing against a city shore. All those monsters are released at a single point and thus rain destruction. This was an excpetionally rare occurance, having only happened twice in all the times of the Portals. However...

"I think someone's trying to cause some artificial ones... at all the portals of the world simultaniously..."

Seira couldn’t really believe what she was hearing, not all of it made sense but she got enough to know that it wasn’t a really good thing to happen. So this had been what he was up to the whole time? If he had wanted help why hadn’t he asked for it in the first place? She might’ve helped him… or not… most likely she would due to it being so adventure like. Breaking into a secret place and poking their noses in things people didn’t want them to know, she loved the sensation a little adventure and some fun gave her. Not knowing exactly what to say she simply nodded as he explained, not remembering if she had given him her name or not she gave it to him. ”I can’t remember if I’ve told you but my name is Seirra…. What exactly do we need to do? Or let me put it this way what do you need me to do?” Sense she was there she might as well help.

"Give me one good reason you think you won." River countered glaring back at Giglamesh ignoring the gun aimed at her face. She was tempted to spit in his face, but she saw his finger was a hairsbreadth from the trigger. Also to the fact she had no weapon, she would have to use her wits to get herself out of this mess. Piss him off, see if he makes a mistake. It's a good rule to remember. Just don't piss em off too much. She thought to herself giving a ghost of a smile.

Giglamesh would clench his fingers tight on the handle of the peacemaker hand gun, he would grit his teeth in anger, he was not a happy man from the girls response. "....you know what.......good enough..." Giglamesh would fire two time, yet both bullet missed her by a hair width, flying behind her both would fly directly in to the chest of a man that was playing cards with red hand clay. It was so fast that the sound of the two bullets firing sounded more like a single gun shot and a echo. The next thing he would turn his bod slightly and keeping his arm and gun straight fire two more rounds at two more of the men that was with clay. A shot to the knee, and a shot to the midsection, both were very well placed hits as both hits took the men to the ground.

He would turn his arm in under his left arm firing two more rounds, hitting the guard on the left side of clay in the forehead perfect head shot, the other a well placed shot to the center of his throat. Then he would move his arm so it was bent at the elbow pointing the gun over his right shoulder and he fired two more rounds, with out looking, and both in the head of the man behind his right shoulder. Giglamesh's sight was good enough where as he remembered from sight exactly where the man was standing exactly.

It was a amazing sight giglamesh had extremely easily taken out six of the guard, but the gun he had picked up was out of ammo, and three guards and clay still remained uninjured. Giglamesh was looking down at river still in pose from shooting the last man, all the shots fired were done so quickly it was like a quick draw instant, as all the men he shot hit the ground at the same time. But how he was looking down at river, that was her que. She should of already noticed the second hand gun that was placed on the ground and giglamesh had slide over to her feet as he was moving around shooting the six men, with the signal he gave her she knew what to do, to the three guards behind gig.
