Standing on the outskirts of Katarina, there is a partly unfinished building, left when the company constructing it went bankrupt. Scaffolding still stands against the gray cinder block walls, the occasional piece of plastic fluttering in the breeze. People who have passed by the building at night reportedly have seen lights inside the building, and heard strange noises: loud bangs, crashing sounds, groans, and more recently, shrieking and laughing. All attempts to demolish the building have also mysteriously failed. In a last desperate effort, the Katarina City Council called upon the Katarina Gym to send a trainer to deal with the problem.
Lisa groaned as she stood in front of the eerie building and sighed. She really didn't want to go in there alone. The young woman looked around for other people. She hoped that at least some one would reply to the "help wanted" ad she'd posted. She checked her watch and looked over to Midnight.
The Cerberex waved her tail calmly, staring at the abandoned site with her icy blue eyes, which were glowing in the twilight.

Roise had once again pushed Cab out of the apartment they shared and into the world. You want to be an explorer so much, but you won't get out there and do anything! Roise's words echoed in Cab's mind. "She's right... I'm a failure..."
Clutched in one hand was the news clipping Roise had thrust at her on the way out the door. It had been too early at the time so Cab had spent the afternoon wandering the city and alternately bolstering her nerve and kicking herself. But now she turned her bike toward the edge of Katrina where certain failed expansions were. The city just wasn't ready for that kind of growth yet.
When she spotted another woman and her... what? Cab had never seen a Houndoom that big... and it was very strangely configured as well. ((I'm assuming Cerberex is new to most people.)) She skidded her bike to a halt and just stared.
She coughed to bring her voice back. "I- Hello? I read your ad?" Oh shoot! What if this isn't the right person? What if she's just here to help too!?

After reading the ad, Alessa concluded it would be the perfect occasion to take some interesting pictures. She expected to be the first to have her photos published and show to the world whatever was disturbing that otherwise deserted building. Anyway, she hoped the origin of these problems was a Pokémon, because she would otherwise lose a precious day. As she arrived near the building, she saw two people and a large creature. She had never seen that Pokémon before… should she hide away in order to take photographs unnoticed, or should she just ask and take the risk to have her request denied? Oh well, they must have seen her already, so the woman just approached the other strangers. “Sorry?”, she asked, her camera in her hands, “Excuse me, I believe it is the place mentioned in the ad? Do you mind if I take photographs of you and your Pokémon?”

This bulbasaur was wild. Not only that- if its markings weren't already peculiar enough, its behavior was, well, how to say, VERY peculiar for a wild pokemon. Example; it was, at this very moment, strutting down a street as if it was its owner, in a human city, handling a perfectly rectangular piece of paper with an extended vine from the root of its bulb. Like the great majority of pokemon, the bulbasaur did not know how to read, never having had the opportunity. However, all it had needed to do was to show humans the paper (embellished with a picture of what seemed like a lieu of ADVENTURE, a very alluring subject for the wandering grass type) and she was pointed in the right directions.
She walked at a regular pace, fearlessly up to a very tall, very tough looking Cerberex and then cracked what would seem a mocking smirk at it before waving the pamphlet in front of the human woman. "Bul, bulbasaur!"

Lisa turned to the individuals who arrived. "Why hello!" She chimed. "Yes, I'm the person who sent out the ad. I suspect there's a ghost Pokemon causing the recent disturbances inside; and, truth be told, I'm some what nervous around Ghost Pokemon." Lisa briefly recalled, with no real fondness, the fight with Helium while she was cleaning up in the Gym, whom she had later learned belonged to Luna. Lisa sighed and turned to what she assumed was a photographer. "Oh? I'm certain Midnight wouldn't mind, would you, girl?"
"Rrrrex" the Cerberex huffed as the humans ogled at her. Midnight stared first at the one who had ridden the bike, then at the one with the strange black object, the thing called a camera, then at the Bulbasaur.
Wait, Bulbasaur? The Cerberex gave a bemused bark.
Lisa was about to turn to go into the building when one of her advertisements flew in front of her face. She turned to the Bulbasaur and looked at it confused. "Um, are you here for the expedition, too?" She asked the odd looking Bulbasaur, not really knowing what had induced such odd behavior. She unconsciously grabbed her note book, however, and took a few short notes while waiting for a response from the little grass type.

The new arrivals shook Cab out of her daze and she quickly looked down at the ground so as to not continue staring at... Midnight, she thought she heard the other call her. She silently admired the way the other girl was so quick to get her camera out. She fingered her own case hanging at about hip level but didn't take it out. She much preferred taking pictures in the wild where there was no one to watch or possibly object.
When she saw the bulbasaur she looked further back, wondering if its trainer was following somewhere behind. It's alone? She wondered how it had read the article, assuming anyway that what the bulbasaur held was the ad clipping.
Cab's mind latched back onto the last thing the woman had said to her about the possible ghost type residing inside.. "What are we going to do about it?" she asked, suddenly feeling a bit silly. What else did people do to remove pokémon? One of them would likely capture it.

Alessa hid her face behind her device and pressed the button twice. A faint flash surrounded the Cerberex and her trainer. She started talking, still looking at the pair through the lens."Thank you very much", said the woman. She caught the hint of Midnight's real species that was her huff. "Rex? Is that a Cerberex? The last newspaper that bought my pictures told me it was recently discovered... by the way, I’m Alessa, I’m a photographer as you can see. It’s the very first time I’m seeing such a Pokémon, it’s ama-" When she heard the Bulbasaur, she interrupted her monologue, turned and saw her. She stared briefly, surprised, and asked in a whisper: "Does this Pokémon belong to any... err, nevermind."
Alessa put the camera back in her bag, judging that it would be going too far to photograph it. She laughed softly. It was time to prove her usefulness. "I think we might have to capture it", she told Cab, "It's the best way to make sure it doesn't come back and causes more nuisances." She didn't really like the idea, but she knew she would make up her mind once the troublemaker starts... screeching at her, or attacking them, or something. "Sorry, I don't own any Pokémon... but I do have a torch. I have candies, maybe it likes candies..." Or maybe she wasn't that useful, after all. She really needed the picture that would reveal the identity of the troublemaker in order to be able to pay her rent... would they believe as well that quantity > quality? Of course, she had already forgotten the photo of the Cerberex, but she didn’t come for that anyway.

The Bulbasaur found it hilarious that her mere presence was so unsettling. Well, people were always either confused by her bold approach, or convinced that some trainer was asking their pokemon to carry out tasks. Oh humans, if only they knew... The girl who posted the ad seemed to catch on really quickly though, and for some reason, took out a notebook and began writing. If Mytheesaur knew how to read, she'd totally swipe it from her to see. "Bul, buuulbasaur." She nodded at Lisa and grinned at the Cerberex, Bulbasaur canines ashine and all. (Yes, the bulbasaur said lol in pokemon language.)
Hearing the talk of capturing a pokemon, Mytheesaur had to glance around suspiciously and reconsider. She asked the Cerberex, hopeful.

Midnight rolled her eyes at the little bulbasaur. The Cerberex chuckled, which came out sounding like an ekans being stepped on multiple times.
Lisa turned to the two trainers and gave an uneasy chuckle. "Well, considering what we know of the site and the complaints of the nearby residents, there is a 92.35 percent chance that there is a ghost Pokemon on the premises. The best relocation method would be to capture it, then to bring it to a place where it won't bother anyone. However, the likely hood of it not coming back is, well, very low. I'm thinking of catching it and bringing it to the gym leader to ask for assistance."
Lisa adjusted her glasses. "So, is that everyone? Let's go." She went in through the front gate, Midnight faithfully following her, and turned on her flash-light, illuminating the weed ridden front yard. It isn't all that spooky, Lisa thought to herself. As she opened the front door, however, a eerie chant began to fill the air. Lisa cautiously stepped in and swung her flash-light about to try and find the source of the laughter.

I ought to read the news paper more often. Cab was sure Roise would have known about the Cerberex, she always stayed up to date on that sort of stuff.
Cab reached in her bag and took out a flashlight as well when things looked about to start. She realized too late that she'd only heard Alessa's name. She didn't know who this woman was who liked very precise odds and she'd not given her own at all. She sighed. Such is life...
We could split up, Cab suggested. For all her lack of social confidence, roaming a dark building didn't give her much pause. Two groups? she suggested, wondering how much the Bulbasaur understood. Well, it had gotten this far, hadn't it?

Alessa did the same as everyone else, and took her own flashlight. She followed Lisa cautiously, not that impressed however by the atmosphere. The woman heard Cab and replied with a faint smile: “That may be a good idea. This way, we'd find it faster.” Should she get with the Bulbasaur then? Well… awkward. She does not own any Pokémon, and has hardly interacted with them directly. Scratching her head, she pondered who she would work best with. The chant gave her chills down her back. Its author must be closer to their location than she expected… perhaps it would enjoy a candy or two. A sugar-coated ball the colour of strawberries appeared in her opened palm, the flashlight in the other hand still pointed at the entrance. A brief whistle was emitted in no particular direction to make her presence (and the candy’s) be known.

(Sorry bout the short and late reply X-X )
Mytheesaur could only twitch an eye at the Cerberex's... original laugh before replying with a nod.
The bulbasaur didn't have to wait long, for the humans gave the signal and marched in readily enough. Teams, huh? Seeing as the flashlight woman went in first, the green pokemon hopped happily after her, nudging her leg as she sped by and into the building. "Bul! BUUUULBA-SAUR!"

Lisa, who had been sadly to distracted to give her own name, finally remembered her sore social faux pas. "Oh, if you need to call me in case of something, my name's Lisa. Yes, splitting up does sound like a good plan, but be careful. Don't be ashamed to back out if need be." Lisa gulped and stepped forward toward the central hall. She hoped she didn't make a mistake by spitting people up. She cringed a bit as the Bulbasaur made a loud call. So much for the element of surprise.
Midnight followed behind her own trainer, looking at the bulbasaur as she passed. The Cerberex then nudged Lisa, making sure that her trainer knew she was there for her.
Deep within the building walls, the humans and Pokemon that had entered were being watched by a set of differently colored eyes. Well the hiding ghost thought to itself, it seems I have company. It would be rude not to "welcome" these guests. and with a small chuckle, the Misdreavus faded out of the wall to begin preparing his spectacular traps.

Cab watched for a bit as one woman and the bulbasaur went off in one direction. She flipped on her flashlight once the other's got out of range. Perhaps sticking with Lisa would give her a chance to see this Cerebrex in action.
"I'm Cab, Lisa," she said softly. Even though she heard a loud whistle and the bulbasaur call out, she felt compelled to stay quiet. Likely, whatever was here already knew where they were, but to be on the safe side she'd let only the light give away her position. There was no way she was going to wander around in the dark.
Looking down the central hallway, Cab probed the walls with her light, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

“Splitting up.“ The woman watched Cab and Lisa going together in the same direction. She realized it meant teaming up with the Bulbasaur. “Huh, alright”, she replied to no one in particular as she walked behind the Plant type. She kinda forgot she had a candy in her palm, and she kept walking with her strawberry-flavoured candy in sight. She was the one holding the flashlight, which meant her Pokémon teammate won’t disturb her. Hopefully. And by the way, the creature could react with an attack if the troublemaker appeared. It would never have the time to assault them. They were safe. Safe. Right? Right?... “You know, you shouldn’t f-feel afraid. Because g-ghosts and P-Pokémons can smell fear. See, I-I am not afraid…” Duh. Even she could see in hindsight the many ways that made that wrong. Also, it was a lot more comforting in her mind. And there was less scared stuttering, too. She mentally facepalmed. What if you just shut up and let that creature do its job?
