I'm just curious--what are your guys' longest rides on the band bus?
we've done 14 hour rides before for the band trip
and even a 6 hour ride just for a regular season game
and what do you all do to keep yourselves entertained for that long of a time?

i think our longest trip was 4 hours... my friend and i played a math game on our ds to stay up

I think my longest band trip was around 9 or 10 hours. I'm not definite on the time it took though. We drove to Las Vegas for the Bowl Game. It required getting on the bus around 2 or 3am and driving through the night and morning to get there. So we did sleep for at least part of the trip. Other than that, it was the usual band stuff. Talking to each other, playing obnoxious games or singing songs together. It was a blast!

8 or 9 hours.
humming our show music, watching movies, talking, truth or dare, sleep, finger through music, listen to music, read, do homework (HA), and couples do... well couple stuff wink
theres also the 4th grade hand clappy game things (down by the river side, miss sizie, ect)
and tickling ppl... or being tickled gonk

From Ohio to Florida it takes longer than 20 hours.
Well. We listen to ipod speakers, card games, be annoying
goof off, pranks, EAT, sleep.

From Wyoming to Salt Lake City. 16 hours. Left in the morning got to our hotel at night. Awesome.
On bus rides we talk, the people who think they are all that record stupid crap. And the real cool kids *smiles* duck tapes other members to their seats when they fall asleep. It's better with drummers cuz we duck tape their sticks into their hands.

longest ride ive been on was prob only about 4-5 hours
movies, music, games, all that jazz...
fun times on the band bus xd

lol well my longest ( im only freshman) was only like a couple hours so far, but every 4 years my band takes a big trip, soif i was in it last year,it wouldve been like a 20 hr train ride lol

during marching season 1 1/2 hours, concert 8 hours.
for entertainment we sing random stuff. examples the Beatles, Queen, Pokemon, plus children songs..........

So much can be talked about when you mention the band bus. Our longest bus ride was 11 hours to NYC to march in the Vet Day Parade. Bad things happen on that bus. haha. On the way home, a freshie and a junior sat together. I swear, if I had a video camera, I could sell that on a porn website. And I was RIGHT BEHIND THEM! I'll never be able to erase that sucking sound... she had like three or four hickies afterward. x.X Scarred. For. Life.

About 7 hours.
Blare metal (percussion/brass bus.) and headbang, talk louder than each other, swear. Talk on the phone to each other (when we're spread out). Talk to friends on the guard/woodwind bus. (Almost everyone who has a boyfriend or girlfriend, they sit on different buses. Tragic.)
Strip Rock Paper Scissors. (Only when there are no directors on the bus with us, or if he's asleep.) The only two girls who are awake, just watch. It's a sausage fest. (Two girls awake out of maybe eight on the bus.)
Telling each other stories that are absolutely disgusting. =)
And, just for me: Apologizing to people when someone wakes them up.

Hm, in my highschool career(if you want to call it thatXD) 2 hour trip from Tucson AZ to Phoenix AZ, made into 4 hours because we spent two hours at a rest stop for lunch(The band parents had brought us pizza and cake and such) we did this trip both years, but this year they closed all our reststops(My BD called AZ the hold it state because they closed all or at least most of the rest stops) So we just ate at the school we had state at.
The longest bus ride I will have by the end of the year is our trip to anaheim in April(Disneyland!, and two days of no school!) Not sure how long it will take.
The longest bus ride I have taken since I joined band was Disneyland in 7th grade. Best trip of my life(despite my BFF getting mad because I am not fond of fast rides like rollar coasters, which scares me because my SL claims she won't let me not ride a coaster this year0.0) But my BFF being there was what made it so cool. (Could have done without my dad, buuut) She moved the next year=(
