Ah the forest, home to Wawanakwa's vast wildlife! Birds, bears, rabbits, dude you name it it's probably in there somewhere! After being relocated (for their own good of course!) the wildlife here quickly grew accustomed to their new environment.

Any camper who wanders into the forest will face a maze of trees and the ever lurking threat of whatever beast might wander upon them. It does, however, hold some secrets and perhaps things an adventurous camper might find useful.

User Image She wasn't sure what it was that had called her out to the woods, but Annabel found herself traversing the trees, ducking low branches and hopping over brambles. In the little time she'd been braving the thick, she'd found her fair share of cuts and scrapes- little things that'd be stinging later tonight without any treatment. But, for now, they weren't terribly serious- not enough to distract her from her exploring, at any rate.

When you got past the general unpleasantries, it had a certain charm to it; as a girl, Annabel had never been camping, and this... seemed to fit that cheery image of the idea. Birds chirping, random animals... she could admit it was nice. Hopping onto a fallen trunk to rest a moment, Annabel used her break to catch her breath- she'd been walking for quite some time now. Glancing around as her chest heaved, the punk Audio looked for any path she'd recognized, somewhere she'd been before..

..And promptly realized walking for this long, alone, in the goddamn woods on this goddamn show on this goddamn island probably wasn't one of her better ideas.

Well. They wouldn't let a camper die out here, if she didn't manage her way back. And it was still early in the afternoon- there was plenty of time to continue exploring before darkness fell on the trees.

So, she'd continue on. Letting her breath steady itself, Annabel rose and pressed on, paws guiding her further into the woods.

...God, she probably should've gotten Simon or Ariel to join her.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Helena trotted in what seemed to be a path, though it looked like it had not been used in years. She took in her surroundings: the sounds of birds and leaves rustling, the way the light shone in shafts between the leaves, how everything was colored in shades of green and brown with bright patches of color due to wildflowers, and the smell of pine needles and the outdoors.

She put her hand against the nearest tree, careful not to rest it on a trail of ants, and looked behind her. "Coming, Billy?" she said, smiling. She had never been on a hike before, let alone a forest. It seemed like a completely different world to her.

Billy followed behind Helena, also looking around. He had jogged to catch up with her. He took in all the different smells wondering what could be here in the forest. There might be bears and other stuff... heck, there might be lions and tigers too the way camp was going so far!

Coming back out of his musings he heard Helena ask him a question. "Right here!" He said, coming up next to her.

User Image Somewhere far, far in the distance, Annabel could swear she was hearing voices- not the crazy kind, mind you, but whispers and snippets of conversation. Christ, she was lost, though. Looking up, she could tell it was bright outside- pools of light poured through the trees to her location, illuminating the forest enough to see.

Other than that? She was completely and totally screwed.

Really, despite her use of the word 'screwed', she wasn't entirely worried about her location. Annabel was far too engrossed in scouring the woods for something to use, anything that might be useful... and admittedly, her earlier conversation with Billy. Allowing herself a smile and a soft giggle at that, Annabel shook her head.

Focus on traveling, focus on this!

And so, she pressed on. Best to ignore the voices, probably. She was going to conquer the woods her own way.

Looking off the path they were on, she noticed some bushes were parted. Must be another path that goes deeper in.. "Let's try this way. I wonder if we'll find something cool, like treasure!"

She really didn't know anything about forests. Especially any dangers it may have.

((silly silly Helena))

Billy looked at where she was going. Though he sort of questioned her logic. "Treasure? I think we need a map for that..." He muttered to himself, following the girl. He looked around, hoping there were no poisonous plants. Wouldn't be good to get touched by one of those!

"A treasure map? Where could we find one of those?" she asked, and looked off in the distance, lost in thought. She thought she saw something far away in the bushes. Was that red and blue? Probably her imagination...she headed that direction anyways.

"Well treasure or not, I'm sure we'll find something cool. Like a nice flower, or something." She told him, holding up her skirt as she skipped over a fallen log.

The further Annabel went into the forest the darker and more ominous it became. On the edges the forest was nice...peaceful even.

Here? This was another story. No birds were chirping, it was dark..shadowy..and hell they stopped TRYING to hide the cameras at this point. They were everywhere, and very -obvious-. This was a heavily watched area.

But before one could stop and wonder just what was under such heavy surveillance Annabel would hear a very loud and pissed off sounding snarl. One might simply dismiss it as a bear...except the snarling continued and was followed by loud crashing that almost sounded...metallic?

There was something in this area of the woods. Something that sounded large and vicious. But with all those cameras around it was almost certain that he would show up if anyone tried to find out.

"I think we buy it or something. Or else we defeat a dungeon boss." Billy replied. He hadn't seen a lot of pirate movies but he knew that in dungeons after defeating a boss you might get one sometimes. He nodded when he heard her talking about what else they could find. Jumping over the log after her he almost fell because he put his paw down wrong. After correcting himself and making sure he hadn't gotten hurt, he continued after Helena.

"Hmmm...I don't have any money..dungeon boss?"

She heard a faint crashing sound in the distance, followed by...a snarl? It came from the direction they were going.

"D-did you hear t-that?" she said, hesitantly. "Was that a m-monster?" She stopped dead in her tracks and with wide eyes looked back at Billy.

Serena had come to the edge of the forest looking for aloe leaves. She went where the plants were, carefully marking the trees by pulling off some bark. Very useful thing she learned from those books to not get lost. She only came in so far before she was able to find some aloe plants, however it took a good while. So many different plants! She had to try and make a mental note of the ones she could identify. Blue eyes returned to the aloe plant and she smiled. A thought came to her head that with these challenges, she might want to pick a few extra, just in case anyone was sunburned. So after grabbing a few, she turned and followed the marked trees back the way she came. She wanted to deal with processing these leaves at the Mess Hall, where she was sure to find a butter knife. Right?

Billy nodded back at her."A dungeon boss is the big monster thing at the end of a dungeon in D&D. They sometimes drop maps." He explained, catching up to her again. He then thought he heard something but wasn't sure.

"I'm sure it's nothing. Besides, i don't think they would let us go out exploring in the woods if it wasn't safe." He replied, shaking his head a little. "But if It is a monster, I have +4 armor and longsword that could take care of it." Billy said, mixing reality with D&D once again.

User Image The snarl had Annabel very nearly jumping out of her fur, ducking under the nearest hiding place she could. Jesus christ, what the hell had that BEEN!? Swallowing the fear that had bristled her fur so terribly, she took a moment to peek out from under her log- not that it helped, seeing how horribly dark this god-awful place was.

She hadn't noticed all of the cameras, to start with. They were everywhere. Which, from what she could tell, meant something really important... or really good... was coming from that mechanical monster. But was it worth investigation? Remaining well in her hiding place a moment more, she contemplated this for a while.

They wouldn't let her die her. Be beaten to hell? Quite possibly. Sustain permanent injury? Likely.

But... more than a warning, that snarl had been a siren's song. On trembling paws, Annabel pulled herself from beneath the fallen log, shaking herself of dirt for a moment's time. Then, walking, she turned to face one of the cameras.

"I- my name is Annabel Lee," she spoke, a tremor of fear running through her otherwise confident voice,

"I'm not even trying to sneak anymore. Just, please. D-don't let this thing kill me."

And with that, the girl hurried on towards the crashing noise and snarls, Dante into the Inferno without a Virgil.

God help her, she needed a guide.

"Ah ah ah...should have heeded the warning little camper."

Safe in his camera viewing tent (far, far away from Annabel's currently location) Chris simply laughed and pressed his paw to a button. Mere seconds later Annabel would feel a slight stab as a hidden blowgun shot a tranquilizer dart at her...and then the world went black.

She'd reawaken, hours later, safe in her bed back at the cabin. A couple of interns (summoned by Chris of course) had taken her back there and carefully tucked her in. Later she'd probably wonder if this was real, or simply some weird dream as a side-effect from bad food.
