Greetings Tim,
I've been looking over things a good deal as of late, and a question has come to my mind;
With all the reporting you have done throughout Gaia, have you ever thought of applying to become a moderator, or maybe even just a moderator assistant?
I ask you this question because I personally believe that you could make a good addition to the team. And if you just wanted to be a Moderator Assistant, then I could help you out. If not, or you don't have the time or whatever, I completely understand. I am just a bit curious, and thought I might give you a poke.

Exciting, yes? Before you ask, no, it is not a scam attempt. He's a totally legit moderator.
So, I feel this is pretty significant. Applying to be a Site Moderator is closed at the moment, but applying to be a Moderator Assistant is by invitation only, and this is that invitation. He says he only asked a few other people.
I've never applied to become a site moderator, since I was never really sure I wanted the pressure and responsibilities. But, what he says is true--I do an awful lot of reporting. And it frustrates me that since there are more rulebreakers than moderators, the things I report have to sit and wait until a moderator can deal with it. If I were to get the position, it would be a way to take a more direct hand in helping Gaia run smoothly.
And since I am not sure I would be ready to be a full time site mod, the position of assistant seems a perfect compromise, so to speak. (Also, MAs are apparently expected to graduate to full-fledged Moderators eventually, so there'll be that option.)
I applied Monday, and I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for a response.
