Xar'zith was bored out of his mind. He despised when the ragtag bunch of mercenary's from his band left him behind to watch the wagon's when they went into bars. Thankfully though He wasn't going to be out here the whole time..the leader of the group had insisted that one of the other men split the night watch with him. Finally the leader was realizing that Xar was getting rather pissed off at being forced to remain behind without any free time while the other caroused the night away.

Of course..this was only because Xar had made a point of getting this across to the man the night before the group had rolled into Undrek'thoz. Quite pointedly with a very finely sharpened blade to the other's neck in the middle of the night. The leader had been horrified to awake with Xar's icy blue eyes staring down at him, narrowed in determination and had rather quickly made the deal with him. Xar had then left the very shaken up male in his tent and returned to his sleeping spot under the wagon.

Xar shifted from one foot to another getting rather impatient..the other mercenary had better show up in time to take over the watch or he would have to enact some torture on the fellow. Xar'zith really didn't have anything to worry about..for several moments later the other male arrived, drinking some rather strong acidic drink to wake himself up and get rid of the alcohol's affect on his body. The male waved Xar away and settled down to take over watch.

It didn't take Xar'zith long to disappear down the path that the other male had come from, eager to explore the city and see what adventure he might find in Undrek'thoz.

He stretched lazily, sweeping back a hair straying from its cleverly hidden clips.
It had been a few months since he left the safety of the house for anything alone. Most of the time his genius if insane cousin accompanied him from simple meandering walks to supplies runs involving bringing home wagon loads of goods from fungi to ancient scrolls smelling of age and dust. One death and his world that slowly had grown steady broke apart once more.

He expected it to.

Jysayne sigh, head tilted chewing on the slim snack stick in thought. Soon would be his first and last run as vanguard for the Raiders. Once again he ran over his mental list, scowling slightly, crunching the remainders of his salty sweet snack. He ran his tongue over his lips for any lingering traces. “Should be easy they said. Blah.”

Rose and amber eyes looked at the establishment in disgust. Bars, so disgusting…he refused to go inside such a dirty business. But his target was inside….

Oohh, well…nearly forgot about that. He smirked slightly, fingering a thin frail glass orb filled with oil. Perhaps he didn’t have to. Now it was just a waiting game of getting the right gap…and luck of the roll. Jysayne hummed slightly walking to the entrance in a swirl of color.

Xar wandered down the streets in an aimless manner, fingering his blades slightly as he walked. He normally had some sort of plan to go off of, so his looking for something to do was rather new to him. The rundown area that he was going through made him rather uncomfortable, the stories he heard from the others in the group usually started out in such areas. He shifted slightly and tried to make himself appear smaller than he was.

Soon enough he was surrounded by sounds of drunken laughter, cries of merriment, as well as some not so telltale sounds of bodies slumping or dropping heavily to the ground. Xar cringed at the sounds. It was almost an too much for him to take. His hearing and eyesight had long been heightened by his days in the wilderness..but in an area like this they didn't do much to help him. In fact it was nearly deafening noise to him. Xar'zith stumbled past the crowded bars and up the street trying to find a more secluded area to steady himself.

Xar came to an abrupt stop and stared in intrigue when he spotted a very colorfully clothed fellow entering a bar, with a small glass orb held carefully in his curled fingers. The brightness of the clothes practically screamed to Xar. The stranger thing was that the male was humming to himself, Xar had never before heard someone humming in such solemn manner. He couldn't help but draw nearer to the bar to try and figure out what was going on, he was smart enough to stay a good few feet away from the building figuring that some sort of tragedy was about to hit the bar.

The thing with Illiamaste specials, besides being so blasted hard and time consuming to make, was most of the time it was luck. A quick but subtle flick of a wrist to set the fragile orb rolling across the bars floor as he walked on by, a luck step by some patron to break the thin shell. The scent of burning as the oil ate though leather and spread by consuming any fluid it came in contact with. A scream blood hit it, the catalyst and it burst into devouring flame.

Quite lovely really.

Well one down. Jysayne pulled out a second snack as he continued to walk, leaving the building to burn spread by its own patrons panic.

Xar watched rather wide eyed at the male pass the bar, loosing the crystal ball with a flick of his wrist into the establishment and continued on his way. Then..all chaos erupted from inside the bar as it went up in bright tear jerking orange red flames. Xar shielded his eyes peering up at it, his nerves tingling with amazement. After staring at the devouring flames for a few moments he turned his gaze to the swiftly departing male. Oh..he was a fiend indeed. Xar knew then that if he wanted an adventure..and chaos and mayhem during his visit to the city, his best bet would be to follow after the male.

He felt rather elated and cautious at the same time as he slowly followed after the other male. He had no doubt that if he wasn't careful that the pyro would unleash some of his unmitigated anger on him as well. Xar figured it was better to chance it than to stay where he was and possibly get blamed for the fire that was now slowly flickering up the walls of a building next to it.

About three blocks away he started to get the odd twitch feeling that he was being followed. The hair at the nape of his neck was on end and his heart seemed to hum. But perhaps it was just the adrenaline. Hmm, he shrugged walking slowly to the shop he wanted in this area. He needed to pick up two types of venoms for the battle and swirl it in his nail lacquer.

He stepped into the small shop, setting down and casually ordered a bowl of hot strips of rothe with chopped fungi, paid with a small bag of gold and small gems and waited. Someone was following him and he was going to find out who.

Xar'zith was already questioning his decision to follow after the other. If the drow had set a building on fire..he probably wouldn't have any qualms about setting him on fire. Xar weighed it over for a few moments, mulling on what he should do. On one hand he could leave now and not get accosted by the other with a crystal ball just waiting to explode or he could continue on and chance it.

In the end his rationality won out. It wasn't likely that the other would have another one of the balls, and if the male did he wouldn't want to waste it on an unknown drow. Xar kept his hands near his daggers, fully prepared to pull and use them if he was threatened in some way. Which..since he was following the fellow that was more than likely.

Jysayne stretched, starting to wonder if he was being a tad paranoid. Taking a small sip from the delicate tea cup, and giving a pleasant nod to the waiter he pulled his dinner to him. The two small bottles that came with the tray causally stuffed in one large flowing sleeve, safely in the tiny pockets sew inside.

He swirled the mix of noodles, meat, and various fungi and vegetables with the chop sticks before taking a bite. Mmmm, perfect. He looked up and paused, eyeing a fellow who was eyeing him a little worried? Perhaps suspicious was the better word. Had he been seen? He swallowed his mouthful, eyes narrowed in thought. “Well…lets wait and see.”

Perhaps, the other would approach him. Otherwise he had a new chore to add to his list.

Xar'zith came to a stop at the doorway of the small establishment and peered in and caught site of the male he had been trailing accepting a tray of food. He paused at the doorway, unsure of whether or not he should go in. He fingered the few coins he had in his pouch trying to assess how much funds he had. The smells woke his stomach, causing it to worry him in it's plea for him to fill it. He sniffed the air once more before he made his way into the building.

Inside he took a seat at a table at the back end, where he could keep his sight on those that entered and so that he'd have a clear view of the male he had trailed. The male was now eyeing him as discretely as he could as he ate his meal. Xar waited, keeping his eyes slightly adverted to the ground, every now and then fluttering up to glimpse at the other male.

He was momentarily distracted when a waiter came up to him and asked what he could get him. Xar glanced around a bit warily before he gave the other an answer. "Hot tea please." Then he rather impatiently waved the fellow away.

Besides the wonderful food, the establishment had a few strategically place mirrors. Just enough to keep track of fellow dinners to put at ease any lingering paranoia. It also kept him from cranking his next awkwardly to follow the other to his seat. Somewhat amused at this game, Jysayne turned to his meal at ease and able to enjoy it. If he was followed then it stood to reason the young male would not leave until he did. Such, he could eat his dinner in peace. Also, score for his tingling sense of doom.

He sipped his tea, mildly chasing a thought in his mind. Should he extend an invitation? A brow arched slightly, catching the quick fluttering motions. Really, it reminded him quite strongly of cautious shy flirting. This brought to mind some rather embarsing moments in his past. Jysayne sigh, flagging down the nearest waiter and quite politely paid for a meal to be given to his stalker.

Xar realized rather too late that the place had mirrors placed around the room. He cursed lightly under his breath and rearranged himself in his seat so he was hunched over the table and his eyes couldn't be seen by the other male. Crap! It would just be his luck that the other male would think his odd eye movements were some type of flirtation. That was not at all what Xar had intended at all.

Xar was rather shocked when the waiter came back, not only with his mug of tea but with a platter of food as well.

"I didn't order that." Xar muttered, suddenly feeling wary of the situation he had placed himself into.

"The gentleman at the bar sent it over." The waiter replied dryly and sat the platter down with a loud thump. "He must have a thing for you or something."

Xar about died inside at this comment, but kept his face blank. At least his training had provided him with how to keep his features from giving away what he was feeling. That much was a good thing. For if anyone could have read his emotions right then Xar would have been totally humiliated.

He stared down at the plate, contemplating in whether or not he should accept the dinner. His stomach screamed at him to do it, and since Xar knew a cup of tea wouldn't be enough to settle it he brought a small fork of it to his mouth and tasted it. Gods! It was delicious! Xar fought against his screaming taste buds and stomach to devour the great food and ate it slowly, savoring each bite. It would be better to not appear half starved, though the gods knew he was.

Jysayne glanced up giving a slight amused smile as the other suddenly hunched over. Finally figured it out hmm? He sipped his tea watching the drama unfold though the mirrors, the slightest twitch of his lip signaling his amusement. “At least he is eating it, even if it is with that utensil.” He turned back to his meal, spreading out a piece of paper and wrote in broad looping script.

Hello, Little Stalker
Or should that be starving bandit? Anyhow, let us play a little game.

Find me if you can,
Kai

Finishing his tea, he folded the paper setting it aside and placing a hefty tip for the waiter. With one last glance at the mirrors, he left, a smile building on his face.

No one said chores had to be boring.

Xar'zith was already halfway through his meal when he glanced up and saw that the other male was striding out the door. Crap! He stilled his impatient body and willed himself to stay where he was..one couldn't appear too eager or as though he was stalking after the fellow. That would give himself away.

Xar glanced over to where the male had been sitting and noticed a piece of paper sitting to the side. His curiousity got the better of him and he slide out of his seat and made his way over to the spot. He managed to grab the piece of paper without anyone seeing him and then made his way back to his seat and unfolded it.

The words made him gasp with shock. He took that opportunity to leave his coin on the table and then he was out the door, determined to find the fellow before he could get too far away.

Jysayne did not go far. Just far enough that all his stalker would catch was a glimpse of colorful kimono, which he timed for the exact moment he left the door, as he turned the corner. He started down the street in a jaunty cheerful walk, humming a catchy if eerie melody.

Now, time to start the next chore on his list.

Perhaps…his little toy will play till he finished them all.

Xar broke into a fast pace once he exited the building..the bright kimono clearly etched in his mind. It shouldn't be too hard to find the fellow. Purple was hard color to miss..especially when most drow in this part of Undrek'thoz usually wore plain or drab colors. Probably because they didn't really care what they wore or couldn't afford it.

He was about two blocks from the building when his ears picked up the sound of humming once more. His ears twitched at the sound, and he picked up his pace, he would know that hum anywhere; despite the fact that the melody that was being hummed was more eerie than the earlier one he had heard.

He was forced to come to a stop when the alley he was walking down came to an abrupt end. He glanced around for another way to get to where he could hear the hum come from. He wasn't about to have to go back the way he had come. Finally he settled on having to climb up the stone wall in front of him. He backed up a good yard and ran as fast as he could..then zig zagged his way up the wall and came to a stop at the top of the wall. He was rather pleased when he caught sight of a purple form disappearing around the next back alley only a little ways away from him.

He decided that it would be smarter to keep up with the fellow from the rooftop of the buildings and continued on following from his new advantage point. He vaulted silently from the stone wall to the closest rooftop and began to run as quietly as he could across the rooftops and vaulting when he needed to, keeping the other within his line of sight. At long last, his training of scaling stone fissures and table tops was coming in handy.
