MockaDash was sitting on top of a tall building. He was trying to recall the name of this city, as he gazed upon the frantic humans, down below. What was it called again? he thought. It didn't really mattered, anyway. What was the point? Everywhere he went, he was still far from home...
He decided to go for a stroll earlier that day. All those Shinigamis clustered in one same place was not his idea of a good time. He needed quietude to meditate. Unfortunately, on this Earth, it's hard to find a secluded place, such as those he had on Seretei. All the city noises though, could easily be ignored. It's the people! They are the truly noisy ones!
Mock stood on top of the skyscraper, away from human interference - not that humans could see a Shinigami, but their presence alone troubled him.
As he dived into his own self, retreating to the back of his mind, he kept cautious of the spirit traces around him...
No other Shinigami, Hollow, Arrancar, Vizard, Quincy or Bount was to be found... Assured, he entered his trance.

Rakey, an arrancar, roughly 20 years of age, was walking on an apartment building. On the building the apartment residents' clothings were blowing in the wind. She tried to clear her mind of all the things that were currently happening, just go blank for a bit. The Espada's were being re-assigned, and the shinigami were currently residinig on Earth. she furrowed her brow as she began to think how she acted with others. Why was she so kind to everyone, especially shinigami? Why couldn't she just be like her brothers and sisters and just hate the shinigami?
"Urgh!" She grumbled as she almost fell of the edge of the apartment building. "Oops," She mumbled, as she looked over the edge. Glad she didn't fall over. Rakey then took a few steps back and made a running start, righ when she got to the edge, she jumped. Luckily, she had strong legs, which helped her gain momentum from the run, and jump higher. The confused Espada managed to land on another building, then another, and another. With each building she climbed to the sky, soon, the buildings stoped growing, and she caught sight of a skyscraper, much taller than the small buildings she was venturing on.
As she looked up to it, she felt a shinigami prescence there. "Maybe shinigami-san can make me not like shinigami-sans any more," she pouted as she used thin panels of her reiatsu to make stairs, and climbed to the top of the skyscraper. "Hey! Shinigami!" She yelled as she attempted to be menacing, but it was obvious she wasn't all that mean looking, she flicked her wrist up and shot a bala at the shinigami.

Mock had sensed the Arrancar's approach when she was still a few buildings away from his. He had opened his left eye, and was monitoring her demeanor as she approached him...
MockaDash didn't felt any hostility coming from the Arrancar, so he was caught by surprise when she shot a bala at him. Sitting still and with legs crossed, there was no way for him to escape such fast attack, resorting to his reflexes only.
Using the scarce reishi available on Earth, Mock Shumpoed behind Rakey, standing up and holding his katanas scabbard in his left hand. The bala had left a small crater on the side of the building...
State your business. he said, in his deep and somewhat hoarse voice. In another time and another place, he would not held back. By now he would be mindlessly charging at the foe. But the circumstances surrounding him had changed, and so did he...

Before she was able to react to the Captain's sudden shunpo behind her, she slowly twilred on her right heel in a clockwise motion and smiled to him. "Will you help me, shinigami-san?" She smiled as she removed her zanpakto- from the strap that held it on her back. Keeping the zanpakto in it's sheath still, she rocked front and back waiting for his answer. Maybe, if she got in a fight with him, she might come to not like shinigami anymore. Possibly, this fight, might trigger her hollow instincts and just make her more like the others of her kind.
If he was fast enough to dodge her bala, she was sure he would probably be able to be worth a good fight. Rackey sheathed and unsheathed her sword, still waiting for his answer. "I want you to fight me, please?" She asked, but her question was followed by a face palm. 'Gah! Your not supposed to be soo nice!!' She thought, aggravated by her kind actions, once again. Still with her palm to her forhead, she took a deep sigh.
((Is your haori visible? Or is it under the flower over jacket thing?))

(( Think Shunsui Kyōraku. Like him, I wear a flower haori on top of the captain's. So yes, the flower one is the one visible, but the captain's is hidden beneath it.
I did not copy the character though, it was Kubo Tite who copied me! xp ))
A favor? Mock inquired. You're pretty weird for an Arrancar. What makes you think that I would only fight you as a favor? It's my duty to slay you!
Mock adopted his favored battoujutsu stance, lowering his body as he bent his knees and placed his right hand on the sword's handle, that was being held by the left on the scabbard. We haven't been formally introduced yet, I apologize. My name is MockaDash. What's yours?
The Shinigami awaited for his opponent to move first.

((Haha okay.))
"Hah, Your right, I shouldn't have to ask you," She turned her back to him, just to look at the scenery of the city around them. Not even noticing it, she was showing him her rank, the black eerie print, a tattoo, on her soft skin. 6. Yes, Rakey, was the sexta espada. "MockaDash, Is that your first name, or your first and surname combined?" She asked, as she still held Mamoru in her hand.
"Well it's rude for me not to tell you mine name as well," She turned back towards Mock, "Rakey Lamilton," She bowed, and shook her head, putting her zanpakto- back on her back. She never was good with a sword. "You first," Rakey nodded to him, since she noticed he was waiting for her to attack first, thing is, she didn't like striking first.

In response to Rakey's question about his peculiar name, Mock simply grunted That's none of your concern! It's a nickname, let's leave it at that!...
The Shinigami looked (and thought to himself) that he was offended by the Arrancar's question - and he had basis to be so. But truth is, that deep inside him, he didn't knew how to react, and that was why he replied in such harsh tone. No one has ever questioned him about his past, or the root of his name for that matter - since both were entangled. And the first "person" to show such concern, was one of his sworn enemies!
A few years back, this simple fact would made a mess out of his mind. But now, Mock was open to all possibilities!
Sixth Espada? You guys are becoming soft!
As he lowered his body, in preparation for the attack, the top of his kasa became visible to Rakey, revealing to her the Kanjis for the expression "Divine Punishment". With a sudden burst, Mock charged at the Arrancar, waiting to get close to her, before drawing and swinging his katana at her lower torso. It was a simple and straightforward attack, but a powerful and fast one nonetheless - he was a master of Iaido and battoujutsu after all.

"Hrmph, fine," She said, not wanting to pry at something someone wasn't comfortable with letting out. "Soft? Funny..." She said looking at her feet, as Mock ran over to her. She didn't see the top of his kasa, nor did she care to see. As he neared she jumped, but before she jumped she leaned forward slightly, thus, caused her to go forward, and over head of Mock when she jumped. While the arrancar jumped she spun Counter clockwise and landed, facing him, and slid back a bit.
Even if he was fast, she could still keep up, since, she was fast too. "Fast on your feet it seems," She chuckled as she sonido'd straight for Mock, while running, she concentrated her reiatsu to her foot. Once Rakey was half a meter to Mock, she stopped. "I'm fast too," she smiled, as she roundhouse kicked Mock. She then mumbled, "Liberar, (Release)" the compacted reiatsu then shot off her leg and towards Mock's face, whether her leg hit him or not, the powerful blow of her reiatsu probably would. This act of hers though, was pretty reckless, she could possibly be open to attack, specially since she didn't know exactly what his abilities were, in fact she didn't know his rank. "What squad are you of?"

Mock's Zanpakutou was still being held in front of his face when Rakey kicked him. Unsan KaijinKami. Mock muttered, and the katana turned to ash, in front of him, that hovered in the air. The ash quickly reshaped itself into the form of a medium circular shield, absorbing the full impact of the blow - since it was also infused with reiryoku. Nevertheless, Mock was pushed back by the pressure of the Arrancar's attack, but the shield remained in place, absorbing the blow.
The shield dissolved into ash again, and the ash fluttered in the air and faded. Mock grinned.
Releasing your powers so fast? Are you afraid? Probably insecure. Maybe you're just overconfident and wanted to finish this quickly... Hum... No. That can't be it! You said you wanted my help to make you hate "my kind", so a quick battle would be out of the question...
MockaDash removed the flower-patterned haori that he always wore on top of his other clothes, throwing it into the ground, making it wave at the wind before falling. His Captain robe was thus make visible to Rakey, still tattered by the battle he fought when "her kind" invaded Soul Society.
Giving his back to her, Mock let Rakey see the number on the back of his robe. MockaDash, Captain of the 13th Squad, the "Divine Protectors". he said to her, glancing over his shoulder. Your "kind" killed my former Captain... Invaded my "home" and deprived me of my purpose... Made mockery of my duty as guardian...
We have a score to settle! Having finished his last sentence, Mock let some of his reiatsu leak out, covering their surroundings with a mantle of indigo mist. The Shinigami reached for his kiseru and placed some tobacco on it. A trail of ash flew around him and laid itself on top of the tobacco, igniting and lightning the pipe. Mock took a couple of short puffs from it, letting the smoke slowly come out from his mouth and nostrils as he spoke. I'll indulge you... I'll make you hate me!
Mock shumpoed behind Rakey, with the pipe hanging from his mouth, and a faint trail of smoke coming from it. On his right hand, the ash had formed into the katana once more, and Mock swung it at Rakey's neck, aiming to decapitate her. With his left hand, at the same time he swung his sword, he casted a kidou. Hadou #31 -- Shakkaho! he said, letting the orb of red energy beam from his palm. Weakened by the omission of the incantation, the spell would lose its full potential. Nevertheless, in the event of it striking a full hit, it would surely left some "marks" on the Arrancar's pretty face.

((I never said why I wanted you to fight me ... That was to herself, she never spoke it .... >.> ))
"Who said I released my powers? This is only but a simple ability," She talked back and glared. Rakey watched as Mock removed his flower decorated haori, unlike her assumptions, he was a captain. He turned her back to her and showed her his Squad number. Thirteen. 'This will be fun,' she thought 'Why!? Did it have to be a captain!?' She argued in her head.
As Mock spoke to her about his former captain, and how his captain passed away because of her brethren's actions, her glare weakened. Rakey felt sadness, as she tried to understand how she felt. If her dear friends disappeared, she'd feel like she was torn into pieces. She'd feel like it was her fault they were gone, "I'm sorry," She mumbled, to the captain before her. Right now, she didn't care if she wasn't acting 'her part' as an arrancar.
When she looked back to where he stood, she heard his words. Score? Fine. The indigo mist wafted through the air, followed by the smell of smoke, Rakey coughed in response, but felt his spiritual pressure behind her, but because of the reiatsu he had let 'leak' out, it was slightly harder to find him. It was like walking into a perfume store which smelled of lemon and trying to find the smell of the perfume labeled 'lemon zest', both were the same.
The only thing she could do to counter the katana coming horizontally for her neck, was to lean the side slightly, and duck. While she did this, she twisted herself clock wise, and stuck her left leg out. Hoping, to catch his footing and make him fall over.
A crimson glow formed in front of her, "Kuso (Crap)" she muttered as she tried to concentrate reiatsu on her arm to weaken the effect she'd take, "Cubrir mi brazo (Cover my arm)" and rose her arm over her face to take the red energy ball with it. After getting hit, she wasn't sure if she hit Mock with her feet or not, but she jumped back to get out of the 'danger zone'.
Roughly four meters away now, she coughed, "You'll make me hate you? I'd love to see that," she provoked him, Rakey didn't think he'd have that ability to change her views. She's been trying to do that since forever and a day, yet her views of shinigami never changed. If arrancars and shinigami gave eachother a chance, it wouldn't be so bad, but there's always people who have to disagree. And in this kind of problem, more people disagree than agree.

(( I was referring to the moment when Rakey asked Mock to fight her as a favor. That, combined with her kind attitude - unfitting for arrancar standards - made him guess that she does not hold any particular grudge against shinigamis. Unlike Mock himself, who despises arrancars. ))
The sword attack missed, as it was to be expected from such fast opponent, but it had served its purpose. It allowed her do take the kidou hit. Mock was gauging this particular Espada's reactions. So she has excellent control over her Spiritual Energy... he thought. ...Being able to use it in order to shield off attacks. Her Hierro is strong.
Mock used his left hand - after casting the hadou spell - to block Rakey's leg, since his right arm was stretched to the far right, from swinging the Zanpakutou. Using the Arrancar's leg as support to leap backwards, shoving the leg in the opposite direction.
The Captain inhaled some smoke from the pipe, before talking. You'd love to see that? You talk as if you could be my friend... That's childish! Since we are at war, and both belong to opposite factions.
Tell me, please... Didn't you ever took hostile action towards a Shinigami?
Mock sheathed his katana, and held the scabbard with his left hand, while awaiting for the young woman to answer him.

((Oh~ Okay.... >w> My bad my bad))
Rakey kept coughing from the smoke, she despised it, the smell of it, everything. Her eyes watered as she listened to what he had to say.
"I talk as if I could be your friend, because there is a possibility I could, if you'd let me, but you probably wouldn't let someone be your friend, especially if it was someone of the same race as the people who killed your former captain," She said as she thought about how to answer his next question.
"No, only a vaizard and bount, Jan and Ky, but, I have wanted to kill shinigami before, when I... nevermind, you wouldn't want to hear my story, you just want to kill me, No?" She said looking at her fist which clenched tighter, and then she cocked her head at him. She waited for his attack, but noticed his katana was now sheathed.

Mock sighed, as he sat on the ground. He noticed the smoke was disturbing Rakey, so he stopped smoking. Why did I quit drinking? he asked himself, in a mutter.
Taking yet another longer sigh, the Shinigami addressed Rakey. I'm not the fundamentalist man that I once was... You're an individual. I can't hate you just because I hate the ones who did this to me...
I must say I am intrigued by you... You do seem to be honest about what you are saying. I've always been a good judge of character, so for now, I'll trust your words.
This was a conversation that Mock never though possible to have. Discussing past events and personal matters with an enemy.
You say we could be friends? How can we? When the only bonds connecting us, are those of hate and death? Another time, another place, maybe so...
Is it misunderstanding? Perhaps... But hate and vengeance, are some of the most powerful forces known to the heart. Some things are just bigger than you and me, Rakey-san...
Mock gave a warm smile at Rakey, masked in seasoned pain. You are wrong. I would like to hear that story now!

"I've met a few other shinigami, one is very similar to me, his name's Kuchiki Xeion, Vice Captain of 9th squad, do you know him? We've met, and we've overcome those bonds of hate, so I'm sure others could, but your right, some people can't overcome those feelings," Rakey returned that smile and laughed. "You'd like to hear my story? If I tell you, will you tell me the mystery to your name?" Rakey joked, not minding if he didn't tell her about his name.
"Well, you want to hear about why I once hated shinigami and why I don't anymore right? Hrmm... It started after I died. Since, I don't rembmer how or why I died, but I do know I spent alot of time as a wandering soul, and that's when everything started for me," She said walking to the edge of the building looking at a small alley way that was a few blocks below, a little girl ran from a group of boys, the kids were around 8-10 years of age.
But, the girl's facial expression, full of fear. Rakey turned herself around and walked back to the middle of the roof and sat down. Her zanpakto- clinked as the sheath touched the ground, Rakey took the sword off her back and set it in her lap since it was longer than her torso and was extremely annoying when it hung on her back while she sat.

Aren't you going to tell me more than just that? Mock inquired. I guess we can have a little "quid pro quo" here... An equal exchange of information...
MockaDash laid himself back, with his hands beneath his head, to serve as a pillow. Gazing at the blue sky, that reminded him so much of that of Rukongai, he started saying This is the only name I ever knew... It's not actually a name, but rather a nickname. Before joining the Shinigami Academy, I was a lost boy on the streets of Rukongai... That's where I got my name...
Much like yourself, I have nor recollection of my past life here on Earth. I don't know if I was happy or sad, if I had a family or not, if I died alone or loved... I don't even have a name...
My first memory is also my first memory of "that place"... The first thing I remember... was meeting "them"... And "they" are also my last memory of "that place"...
Now you continue... It's your turn.
