The first HD Tales game, and the first one to make it to the Xbox 360 and the PS3, Tales of Vesperia shows a new direction for the Tales series.
Vesperia takes place on the planet Terca Lumireis. The people of Terca Lumireis have come to rely on "blastia", an ancient civilization's technology with a wide array of capabilities, such as providing water, powering ships, or creating barriers around major cities and towns to protect them from monsters. The Imperial Knights and Guild members also use "bodhi blastia" to enhance their abilities in combat. The blastia are created from a substance called "aer" that lends its power to the blastia's ability, but can be fatal to humans in large concentrations.
Tales of Vesperia has been released in Japan and the USA already, and will be heading over to Europe at the end of June. This means clearly mark spoilers in this topic.
An easy starter question: Who are your favourite characters from this game?

I played the demo on my brother's 360, and I really liked it. I wish I could get it.

I've been playing it at my friend's house, and we're getting farther... I'm liking Judy less and less and liking Raven more and more, but that's only because of where we are right now. Although I have a feeling that it's a lot darker than the other 'Tales' games I've played (what, just Symphonia?) and my friend and I think it's because Yuri just has a darker outlook in general.
We renamed most of our party:
Estelle - Frank
Repede - ScoobyDoo
Karol - MiniLloyd
Judith - Eragon
Raven - Zelos
Most are just inside jokes, but seeing/reading 'Lady Frank' is extremely funny. xd
Edit: Oh, favorite character! Hum... probably Estelle or Repede or Raven. (I've been playing as Repede. 3nodding )

A friend of mine has it, and he likes it quite a lot, though I've yet to play it.
He loves YurixEstelle, though, and he's never been a fanboy guy.

Im just glad Estelle is a bearable main heroine (unlike Colette *bashed*) xd
I like her "Heroic Actress" costume title.

I think the main difference between Colette and Estelle is that Estelle is actually useful in battle, which means that I tend to be a bit more forgiving with a character's personality.
I think Yuri's managed to be the only main protagonist that I would consider to be my favourite character in their game. Normally they tend to annoy me for some reason (probably the fact that they're all about the same age as my younger brother!), but I actually like Yuri as a character.

I'm buying an Xbox 360 not just for Vesperia. More like 60%.
There are other games for the Xbox that I'm interested in, but Vesperia pushed me over the edge to actually buying one. sweatdrop
Still got another 2 weeks over here until it's released. This is awful. I really can't wait.

Although I have gotten the entire party together, I can't choose a favorite character yet. I do like how Estelle uses a rapier, though, and am already a YurixEstelle fan. XD I have to play the game on my brother's X-Box.
