Ok folks. Ladies and Gents, boys and girls, men and women of all ages, shapes, sizes and colors, rejoice in the 10 year anniversary celebration. It has been exactly one full decade since the release of Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal versions. And now, as of today, there has been confirmation of Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver, DS remakes of the originals. For those of you who, like me, are fans of the original Johto region games, gather and rejoice! It has been a long time coming since Fire Red and Leaf Green were released so I believe it is time, now, for a grand celebration! The previous Reward for posters has been ended for several weeks now, though it would seem no one has bothered to check any of the posts in the thread to see that. I thought I would change the first post to make it clear that Pokemon are longer being received for posting. Now this thread is for discussion of the games. Here is reliable confirmation. omg, thewy are making a remake!!! I loved the johto region. This really makes me sad that I no longer have a ds though crying

haha yea, but atleast I have like a year to save up for a new one. Though what really sucks is all the event losses and my old team lol.

OHMYGODDESS!!! Are you serious!? *bounces about excitedly* Crystal was like my favorite game for ever! I lost it though, so this re-release has me majorly excited! >w<

And yes, you do have about a year to save up. The Japanese release dates are supposed to be set for sometime this fall so we'll likely not see them until next spring.

Oh wow.... I know just what to get Techie for her 21st b-day now XD, I love the Johto region, I'm currently playing my Crystal version over again because i'm so happy..!
Could I get a Spinarak <3 My love of Poison-types only getts better, with the spider-like poke'mon. 83...
Also, Umm.... Techie's computer is sorta down... and well.... (I think at this point it's in the trash) Could you hold a Snorunt for her.. she really wants that poke'mon.
GAH! I can't wait!

I lost my Silver version years ago or I'd be playing it again, myself.
I supposed I can hold her a 'Runt, but only if she can get in here and confirm that she wants it when she's able to get on again.

Haha, yeah, I was spazzing over the new release news as well. Ever since my Silver version cartridge died, I've missed it horribly. x3

Techie though she was going to the library yesterday to get her State Id, and get on the computer, but the library closed early for some reason, so she's going tomorrow... Thing is she's also going to the casino for her birthday. (Our birthdays are a day apart. ^.^) So.... She should be coming over today.... Umm... Maybe thats her calling right now.

HIYA! XD I can't wait for the new Johto region games.... I've agreed with Ginjie that shes going to get Heart gold, and I'm going to get Soul silver.. Then when we've gotten them complete were going to switch... XD I highly doubt thats going to be the case after we both beat the game, but whatever. (Lucky Ginjie was holding it from yous guys, but she's getting the Japanese version from her grandmother whom still lives in Japan. (Smacks the back of Ginjie's head) I wish I knew how to read Japanese.. I can do is speak it... T.T
Anywho.. I'll take my Snorunt now. 83 Thank yous!

You're all up on me. I can barely speak anything that sounds like proper english. I grew up redneck and regularly destroy the english language with my hick talk. But I do know a little French, not enough to speak it though. And besides, the European versions won't even come out till after we get them here.
