Dark Elf trilogy was really good.
I was really inspired by Maggie Furey's Shadowleague trilogy though. Book 1: The Heart of Myrial Book 2: The Spirit of the Stone Book 3: The Eye of Eternity (or Echo of Eternity in the US).
She uses some mythical creatures that just aren't plausible, like centaurs, but aside from that I found it to be a damn good read personally.

Harry Potter got me into fantasy ^^. I didn't read Eragon until last month though... I killed myself mentally for not doing that sooner. xp *ish now braindead*

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy and Elantris. AWESOME books, all the way around.
I also love Tamara Pierce's Protector of the Small Series. I think it's the best out of all the Tortoll Books. And I love Bruce Coville, who had better not get anywhere near L.A. until he finishes the last book in his Unicorn Chronicles. I've been following that series for 13 years!

I love anything that has to do with Drizzt, let's see... Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series is very good, the Eragon series, David Edding's Belgariad and Mallorean are stereotypical fantasy, Robin McKinley's Blue Sword, Hero and the Crown, etc. are all good. Tamora Pierce is very good as well, and so are the Garth Nix Abhorsen series. Too many books to name that are just so amazing!

I wish I could read Eragon, I hear it's much better than the movie. I saw the movie and I didn't like it much. neutral
BTW, the only fantasy book I remember reading is this one:
"La Mansión del Pájaro Serpiente" which translates to "The mansion of the bird-like snake/serpent". The author is Virgilio Rodriguez Macal btw...
It's mostly a compilation of stories that are quite fantastic and they take place in the forests of Guatemala (my country). If you know how to read in Spanish, I suggest you find a copy. 3nodding

Yes Hypno Eragon the book was immensely better than the movie. Anyway as for fantasy books I like: All of R.A Salvatore's books involving Drizzt and/ or his companions Also by him the Cleric Quintet( some of my favourites) The Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini The Lost Chronicles series in Dragonlance The Elminster series by Ed Greenwood
And the list goes on but that's all I'll list for the time being.

Have you read the other trilogy by R.A. Salvatore? I forgot what it's called because I read it then let someone else borrow it. But I think it's the Spear Wielder's Trilogy. Or something of the like. Strangely this one doesn't have anything to do with Drizzt and his friends/enemies, but it's still worth the read.

I heart waaay too many books. But I like the darker version of fantasy the best. 1. The Dark Tower Series ~Steven King 2. The Name of the Wind ~Patrick Rothfuss 3. Almost anything by David Gamell 4. An assortment of other fantasy goodies I can't name right off

Haven't read the Inkheart series or Lioness Quartet. No opinion on Twilight, loved the Bartimaeus Trilogy, though haven't read the last. Love the Inheritance Cycle, he's still writing one more. Series of Unfortunate Events i love dearly, i have all 13 in hardback.

Other triliogy by R.A Salvatore eh? The only one I can think of is the ancients triliogy and its still in progress so no I suppose I havn't read(or heard of) it. Another triliogy I have started on that seems great so far is The Haunted Lands by Richard Lee Byers.
