While the name does not exactly sound that intimitating, El Casa de The Mastermind is a very horrific place... to get to. First off, The Mastermind's mansion is hidden twenty feet below ground in the deepest and darkest sewer system. Do not think that The Mastermind lives in sewage though for underground The Mastermind has built a luxurious mansion. This mansion is guarded though by foul traps like spikes rigged to pop up when they feel the weight of people walking on top, walls that close in on you, and the worst possible death... trap doors that when you walk in, you cannot get out and water is let loose into the solid room where you will most definitely die by drowning.
The mansion itself is magnificent. Furnished and decorated much like a Gothic castle on the inside, El Casa de The Mastermind is a perfect place for one to hide and never be discovered. Inside the mansion there is also a training room, hospital like area, and sleeping chamber for Mythos, The Mastermind's protege and assassin.

Mythos reappeared in the hospital area designed of him in El Casa de The Mastermind. It was here he went to his knees and let all of his emotions come out with full force. While he felt emotions like pain, agony, despair, self pity, and stupidity, the worst emotion of all was hatred. Mythos hated himself for what had happened. This was all his fault and he knew it. If Mythos had just controlled his emotions like The Mastermind had taught him Mythos wouldn't have been shot and now bleeding to death. The blood came pouring out of him like juice pouring out of its carton because of a hole. "My Master! Please forgive me and help!" Mythos cried out as loud as he could to see if The Mastermind was in the vicinity. Apparently he wasn't which meant that Mythos was all alone for now.
First thing was first, Mythos needed to get the bullet out of his body. He closed his eyes and pushed all of the emotions he was feeling back into the invisible box in his mind. With that done, Mythos put all of his energy into getting the bullet out of his stomach. The bullet started to slide out of his stomach. He could feel it. His powers were pushing the bullet out. Pain seered through Mythos's body, but he forfeited the right to feel it. If he wanted the bullet out he needed to concentrate.
CLINK!
Mythos opened his eyes and saw the bloody bullet that was lodged in his stomach now on the white tiled floor. But with the bullet also came the pouring of more blood. This wasn't good. Anymore blood loss and Mythos would surely die. It could not end this way. Mythos let the pain come back to him and even let himself cringe when the pain started throbbing. He let himself have at least that one liberty. He found bandages and towels and then an assortment of antibiotics that would help the pain and stop the bleeding. Mythos then threw himself on an examining table, closed his eyes, focused, and let his powers do the rest. All while he concentrated the towels and bandages started to work on their own, cleaning and dabbing his wound. Finally, once the wound was clean enough a bandage was wrapped around it. Mythos knew that the bleeding would continue, but he was determined to stay as still as possible and rest until the wound was healed, but in that time Mythos could die due to the severe blood loss that was occurring and did not seem to stop.
"Master... why have you forsaken me?"

Mythos wanted to cry when his master walked in, but it took all of his energy not to. If he cried that would be the end. The Mastermind would abandon him and Mythos would be left to bleed to death. He knew that in order for Mastermind to help him, Mythos would have to explain what had happened. Red dots started to cloud Mythos's vision. He was blacking out and probably had only a few more minutes before he would be unconcious. The wounds he had were soaked with blood. They were pointless to even have on for they did nothing to help. Mythos had remained perfectly still for an hour, but that did nothing to help the situation.
Before explaining the situation Mythos sucked in a deep breath, which stung like as hell. " Somebody attacked me sir. I did tried to finish off Cross but before I could two people attacked me. One was a tall black man and the other was a balding white man. They were working together." Mythos tried to think of the events and what he had heard while he had eavesdropped on James Cross and the two others. "From what I heard, the tall black man's name was Spaldwin and the balding white man's name was... it was... Mr. Wyong." Mythos relayed this to Mastermind with the straightest face he could manage.
Of course this was a lie. Mythos had thought he had finished off Cross, but then Cross had once again survived and had shown abilities of immense power. If Mythos told Mastermind about these powers, what if Mastermind abandoned Mythos right there? James Cross had eluded Mythos twice. Nobody has ever escaped Mythos's clutches once, let alone twice. The Mastermind would surely think Mythos as a weaker man than Cross. Mythos couldn't have that. He loved his master and nobody else could take Mastermind away from him. Mythos only hoped that this story would hold up and that Mastermind would be intrigued by the two other men, Spaldwin and Mr. Wyong, more so than James Cross.

MYTHOS
BANG!
In a loud and sudden explosion, Mythos and Mary appeared in a small study. Mythos shook his head, which was now pounding because he had had to concentrate so hard in order to transport from the cove to where they were now. And just where were they now? They were in the Mastermind's Liar. As Mythos massaged his head fear suddenly took hold of him.
He should not have brought Mary here, but this was the safest place. Mastermind would be outraged if he saw someone else besides Mythos here. Mastermind would kill Mary and Mythos could not have that. But why did Mythos care so much about Mary? This just was not right. Mythos was doing everything Mastermind had taught him not to. Mythos was letting emotions get the better of him. But how could he not? The Mastermind had wanted Mythos to gain allies, but in order to gain allies he had to talk to people, make them trust him, and make sure that they were just as reliable. Mary was not just a tool to the Mastermind's succession anymore. Mary was a strong, independent, beautiful, smart, and talented individual and Mythos was starting to fear what he was feeling deep down inside of him.
He suddenly came to a realization that he was directly on top of Mary, having fallen down after the transportation. His face was so close to Mary's that he could feel the warmth of her face radiating onto his. He looked deep into her eyes and held his gaze there, but then an alarm in his mind went off.
STOP!
And just like that he got up off of the ground and offered his hand to Mary. "We must hurry. We do not have a lot of time. We escaped a dangerous situation and now have landed into an even more dangerous one. Let's go." Mythos ordered in a monotone, uncaring voice. He needed to get back to the way Mastermind had trained him to be. Mythos could not care about Mary like he did, it would not help him in the long run. He also knew that whole fact that Mary now knew he had powers and it was only a matter of time until she brought that fact up.

Mariana's anger subsided... but then, so did everything else. As she ran, she simply blacked out. When she awoke, everything was... different. She appeared to be in a study, and something was quite off. She soon realized there was quite a weight on top of her. "Get off!" she cried, attempting to shove the weight off of her... although, by that time, it was already gone. She stood up, hastily arming herself with a poker from the fireplace, even though the pistol was on the floor. "All right... I believe I'm owed a few answers. Let's start off with a simple one... who ARE you?"

MYTHOS
Mythos looked Mary straight in the eyes. Ever since he had met her he had been trying to control to urge to touch her in any way possible. He wanted to be near her and he had this horribly pressing that he could not get rid of, but thinking about it now there was no reason for Mythos to tell Mary anything. The Mastermind's common sense was at least still with Mythos in some sense. Though why Mythos would bring Mary here was beyond him. It was the first place he could think of and back at the cove, his mind had been all over the place. What was happening to him?
Nonetheless, Mythos had broken one of the most severe rules Mastermind had given him. It was forbidden to bring anybody else to the Mastermind's liar unless the Mastermind himself had ordered it, and even then that person would usually end up dead. Mythos feared the worst. He had no time to answer her questions and he knew he shouldn't, but something made him want to tell Mary everything. He wanted to tell her what he had been through these past couple of years. He needed... a friend... but the Mastermind was Mythos's friend and the only man he could trust. The Mastermind had told him what the world was like. The world and the people inhabiting it was cruel and immoral. Mythos was helping Mastermind save the world, but nobody could get in the way of this and Mythos knew that Mastermind would see Mary as a hindrance. Mastermind would kill Mary.
Mythos looked at Mary and for the first time, fear masked his entire face. "There is no time. I must get you out of here now Mary... now!" He grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes again. His insides twisted once more. What was going on? He needed to snap back to reality, but he needed her to understand that he was not just throwing her away. He would find her again. He promised himself that. "I'll tell you everything Mary! I will find you. You deserve that much. But he will get you... my master is unforgiving. He will kill you. We must leave now! Please... take my hand and keep as quiet as possible. We can be away from here in only seconds."

Mariana pointed the poker straight toward the boy's heart, keeping him out of arm's reach. "Now, see, here's the thing. Something's gotten you pretty spooked. You brought me here in a hurry, but now you're in a hurry to leave. I can only guess why you brought me here, but it's clear you're afraid of this place--or something in it. Now, if I don't know anything about this place, I don't have any reason to fear it. So, I'm not going anywhere unless you start talkin'."

MYTHOS
Mythos now wished that he had concentrated on any other place but here. It had been such an impulse though. Whenever he got into trouble he would transport back here, but he should have thought a lot more about somewhere else to go considering someone else had been with him. If the Mastermind figured out Mythos was here though and saw this girl with him, there would be no escaping Mastermind's wrath.
Mythos did not what else to do, but he feared for Mary's life. Suddenly he started to do something that felt so unnatural to him. Mythos started to plead. "Mary please... I cannot tell you everything... but you are in his liar. The Mastermind's liar. I am sure you have heard of my master. He has terrible power and he will kill you. If he is mad enough my master will kill me as well. The Mastermind's will is always carried out. We must flee from here. Now!"

The kid seemed to just unfold before her. "Hmm... I don't know anything about this 'Mastermind'. Sounds like a lot o' hype to me. Plus, you must've thought it was safe enough to bring me here in the first place. But... this place ain't exactly my cup o' tea. It's way too stuffy in here. I mean, what's the point of globe-stands, plastic ferns, and busts of people I've never heard of before? And how about all these books? Books are good to be read, not to be stuffed on a shelf and forgotten about. Knowledge is supposed to flow, ya know? Well, if you can think of a better hideout, then be my guest. But, we're still not square yet. You're gonna tell me more, and I'll hold you to it." I... need some time to think about all this, Mariana added in her mind. This... all this... it's just too much. I mean, I'm just a kid! Why'd this all have to happen? She grew silent.

MYTHOS
Mythos drew in a quick breath and sighed very heavily. He looked at Mary and tried to smile. He was glad she was finally listening t reason. They needed to get out of here as soon as possible. Mythos next said something that had seemed so alien to him that he had wished he hadn't said it right after the fact. He said, "Thank you."
He put his hands on Mary's shoulders and moved in close to her and closed his eyes. He couldn't go back with her. Mary was doing something to Mythos's mind and Mythos didn't think he could take it anymore. The Mastermind would definitely kill Mary if she was found here. Mythos knew what he needed to do. "I want you to think Mary. Think about any place in Delmor you know is safe and then tell me where you want to go." He let her think about that while he prepared for what would come next.

Mary immediately shook her head, hardly giving it any thought. "There's... there's nowhere safe for me now." She crossed her arms and looked away, the full relevance of her words weighing down upon her. "I... I'm always going to be running now, aren't I? And then... after this life? I can't run from that. There's no way I can out-run fate." She looked up, numb on the outside but terrified to the core. "I'm going to be judged for this. No matter where I run, I'm not going to be able to escape my judgment." A long pause ensued. Mary could have sworn she felt a hand on her shoulder, but when she looked, it was gone. "Just... take me back to my gang, on the bad side of town. Or just put me somewhere in the north part of town, I can find my way back from there."

MYTHOS
He didn't know what came over him at that moment, but the way Mary had been looking at him and the words she was saying caused his heart to feel like it was being stabbed multiple amounts of times. He knew it was not safe for her here but he had wished with all his might that it was. She seemed a little weighted down by all of this and Mythos wanted to help her. He put his hands on her shoulders and suddenly felt himself getting closer. His face pulled in close to hers and before he even thought anymore about it, his lips touched hers. He held them there and then using his mind power, willed Mary to be transported to any building in the north side of Delmor. He felt his grip on Mary loosen until it was no more. The transportation had worked. Mary was gone.
"I promise Mary. I will find you." Mythos said to himself in the silence of the study, hoping that she had made it out to somewhere in the north okay.
