I do everything from functional art to art art... Just depends on my mood at the time and my inspiration. I used to hand draw, but a back/shoulder injury prevents it. Now I do mouse-drawn art and use a lot of stock, clip art, and alter freeware or non-copyrighted graphics.
There are too many plug-ins that I use to name. A lot of Flaming Pear's products and also Alien Skin. Plus some other off beat ones. My graphic program of choice is JASC's Paint Shop Pro v. 7.4, though I have several others for various purposes.
I also create screen savers.
I decided to make my art into two forums, for ease of use. This will have art, non-web pieces that I've done. Larger pieces are shown in thumbnail. Just click on it to see the full size.
I hope you enjoy, creative critiquing is welcomed and appreciated!

This section is for my love, Eric (Lord_Seraph). Most are web graphics, and will be in the other forum.

General Art Gae's Healing Dance Space Builder #437 Dancing in the Underdark Darkness Born One of Eric's friends Camouflaged Warrior versions 1 and 2 Summoning The Kracken The Docking Birthday Piece for Friend Lazy Hills Magical MusicianHis playing captivated her soul, forcing her to his side, she could not resist the urge to look at him as he played. So stunning, he was as beautiful as his music. The more she listened, the less will she had. Ril'riia Kil'urden (my gaming character) Please read my profile for the storyline. The Golden Harleyquin Crimson Butterflies The Rebirth of CivilizationThe world was devastated by a nuclear fall out. The skies dropped ash so heavy, a winter ensued. Life could not be sustained, and as a result, every creature, every person, and almost all plants were destroyed with the cities man created. There was one tree, however, shining through the exotic haze of a world slowly righting itself. It knew that being alone was a bad thing, and that true healing for the planet could not begin until it was repopulated. And so the tree began it's work... Surreal Seascape

This is a very large image. It's called The Crying Tree, and since Bri inspired me to reach into my surreal aspects, I'm testing my medal with this and some other things I've got swirling around in my head...
Thanks Bri!

Feel free to get anything printed you want! I'm honored, and thanks!
lol! I rarely use 'real' people, just freeware graphics. In fact, I need to post the links. I have a a ton of free Poser (a 3D rendering program) tubes I just found also... Ahhhh so much to do, so little time. But at least we're getting the plane tickets Wednesday! YAY!
You've seen this on the front page, but here's the story behind it. It's called (officially) The Starving Uninspired Artists' Gates of Inspiration. (Hence the abbreviation in Photobucket... lol!) So, the story is pretty simple. We've got a great collection of artists here, each of us brings something to the table be it writing, graphic art, photography, drawing, crafting, music, painting, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera *waves hand dramatically in circles in the air like Yul Brenner*. There is not one gate to inspire us all, but many-- gates within gates in fact. Each as varied and wonderful as we are. I hope I captured that feel here.
As always, feedback is much appreciated.

You were starting to sound philosophical there for a minute..
I like it and the concept behind it. The planets conception is very pretty. I like the green rays of light coming off of the planet.. or star. The girl is kinda creepy though.. but I'm a sucker for brunettes.. hrm don't tell my blond girlfriend that tho..

hahahaha I am part philosopher. Speaking of which, did you happen to see History of the World Pt. 1 by Mel Brooks? There's a part where Bea Arthur (Golden Girls lady) says to Mel Brooks (Comicus, who's in the unemployment line):
Dole Office Clerk: Occupation? Comicus: Stand-up philosopher. Dole Office Clerk: What? Comicus: Stand-up philosopher. I coalesce the vapors of human experience into a viable and meaningful comprehension. Dole Office Clerk: Oh, a *bullshit* artist! Comicus: *Grumble*... Dole Office Clerk: Did you bullshit last week? Comicus: No. Dole Office Clerk: Did you *try* to bullshit last week? Comicus: Yes!
hahahahah!
And of course, your fruit stand. Now that you've seen it.
This came out lovely. The background image is a place in Jersey (I think), and redone with a series of freeware PSP tubes (the name plaque, banners, fruits), the cart is an image from an auction site, and there's a series of clip art people, public domain people and others. And of course, Bri!
I enlarged the base pictures, did this on about four layers and then collapsed them. First I took it through several painting effects, then several aged photo effects, and then finally created the frame. Took about .... eh four hours.
lmao! Yeah, I tried capturing that mystery sense that celestial beings are supposed to have. Kind of creepy, kind of odd, kind of beautiful in that foreboding way. The planets more or less match her eyes and were made completely in either Solar Flare from Flaming Pear or altered with Mr. Contrast and a few other plug-ins.
I'm a redhead. I know we're the best because I'm a redhead. hehehehe! And my hair color's natural-- straight out of the box the way nature intended. But I'm going back to indigo when we get to Boston.

hehehehehe! I think so too. I actually do some art for the good Doctor from time to time.
I just got this done, it's for Anime Tomboi's birthday and I hope she likes it. It's a bit big because it's not as detailed scaled down. (I try to resize my images to the highest dimension of 600px.)

A birthday comic for Ak recapping our love of the Taco War, Star Wars, and humor that probably makes no sense what so ever. Eric helped me with the panel ideas and the text. Thanks my love.

Thank you, it actually took a lot longer than a 'regular' art piece. A tip to anyone writing a comic page, visualize the general layout of the panels and create the template. Then visualize what you want to show, then make the panels. Then do the captions. Which is the hardest part.
