Hello! I'm Logue, a long-time lurker of Lab 305. I've been on Gaia for a long, long time, frequenting B/C shops like Soquili,
Lilium Hallow (well, all of Omie's shops, actually), and mostly lurking in many others. I greatly enjoy coming up with concepts,
and I love questing. It's so much fun, even if I suck at it sometimes.

I am often online late at night, if I'm not too tired after work. I always try to make time for my Gaia obligations, such as tags,
commissions, and just stopping in to see how a friend is doing.

I love love LOVE to draw. It's my favorite hobby, something I've been doing for as long as I can remember. C: It's all I'm good for, lol.

I think that covers the basics! If anyone has any questions or would like to PM me for any reason, please feel free to. I don't bite. <3
                __________________________________________

Method of Payment: Probably going to try for an RL bribe. orz

                RP Samples: one, two, three

Bone is living tissue... when it is attached to a functioning, sustaining body. However, this piece of bone, which is presumed to be from some sort of animal, exhibits signs of life outside of the influence of a working body. Rather than drying out and becoming hollow and dusty, this bone supports itself by unknown means - if broken, it will eventually correct itself, the pieces mending back together. It does not seem to grow, but something is keeping this piece of bone alive, and it's... creepy.

User ImageUser ImageString of Fate (Given to BikiCakes!)

Legends say there is a red string tied around your finger that you cannot see or feel. It is indefinitely long and can reach around the world if it needs to, because the other end is tied around the finger of your true love. However, this string is broken, a fragment of the thread that once connected none other than Freyr and Shira, before the untimely death lead to its split. It still glows a vivid red; whether it is still holding onto the notion of 'true love', or if it burns with the bitterness of heartbreak, is unknown...

Shock Wave

Contained in this vial is a never-ending shock wave; how it was captured is a mystery in itself. Normally, shock waves are meant to eventually dissipate as they disperse, but this one only continued to multiply as it separated, eventually merging into one to repeat the process. Kyou managed to snag a sample of this never-ending shock wave to bring back to the lab. This repeating of energy is causing the vial to shake with a pleasant hum, making it difficult to hold onto.

Gray Wolf

The gray wolf (Canis lupus), also known as the timber wolf, true wolf or western wolf is a canid native to the wilderness and remote areas of North America, Eurasia, and North Africa. It is the largest extant member of its family, with males averaging 43–45 kg (95–99 lb), and females 36–38.5 kg (79–85 lb). Like the red wolf, it is distinguished from other Canis species by its larger size and less pointed features, particularly on the ears and muzzle. Its winter fur is long and bushy, and predominantly a mottled gray in color, although nearly pure white, red, or brown to black also occur.

The gray wolf is the most specialised member of the genus Canis, as demonstrated by its morphological adaptations to hunting large prey, its more gregarious nature, and its highly advanced expressive behavior. It is nonetheless closely related enough to smaller Canis species, such as the eastern wolf, coyote and golden jackal to produce fertile hybrids. It is the only species of Canis to have a range encompassing both the Old and New Worlds, and originated in Eurasia during the Pleistocene, colonizing North America on at least three separate occasions during the Rancholabrean. It is a social animal, travelling in nuclear families consisting of a mated pair, accompanied by the pair's adult offspring. The gray wolf is typically an apex predator throughout its range, with only humans and tigers posing a serious threat to it. It feeds primarily on large ungulates, though it also eats smaller animals, livestock, carrion, and garbage.

The gray wolf is one of the world's best known and well researched animals, with probably more books written about it than any other wildlife species. It has a long history of association with humans, having been despised and hunted in most pastoral communities due to its attacks on livestock, while conversely being respected in some agrarian and hunter-gatherer societies. It is the sole ancestor of the dog, which genetic and paleontological records indicate was first domesticated in Europe 18,800-32,100 years ago by hunter-gatherers. Although the fear of wolves is pervasive in many human societies, the majority of recorded attacks on people have been attributed to animals suffering from rabies. Non-rabid wolves have attacked and killed people, mainly children, but this is unusual, as wolves are relatively few, live away from people, and have been taught to fear humans by hunters and shepherds.

      Name: Yves Mathieu Lecuyer
        Meaning: Yves [ yew ] Mathieu [ gift of God ] Lecuyer [ shield-bearer ]
      Age: 26
      Race: Human
      Birthday: February 10 - Aquarius ()
      Sex: Male
      Ethnicity: French
Sexuality: Gender doesn't really affect Yves. Not actively searching.
Occupation: Yves owns a small grooming parlor not terribly far from his home; located near the more bustling center of Durem, The Pet Parlor (also referred to as Mud Puppies on occasion, fondly nicknamed for his beloved chihuahua/terrier mix) is quaint but well-maintained, providing grooming options for cats, dogs, birds -- heck, bring your pet monkey in. He probably has a book on grooming monkeys somewhere in his house.

The Pet Parlor is open from 9 AM to 6 PM weekdays, closed on weekends.

Residence: Rents a small house near the outskirts of Durem, living close to his parents' home. Not huge, but big enough to house himself and his pets comfortably; one of the reasons he chose it was for its spacious, fenced back yard.

      Posting Color: ▊▊▊▊

User Image
      Height: 5' 6"
      Weight: 139 lbs
      Build: Small and willowy.
Eye Color: Honey brown, framed by heavy lashes and thick, dark eyebrows.
      Hair Color: Sandy, dirty blonde.
Hair Style: Short in the back, the ends flipping out slightly at the nape of his neck; his bangs are swept to the side, some sections framing his face.
Skin Tone: Sun-kissed due to being outdoors often; in-between he is sun burnt
      Distinguishing Marks: None.
Casual Attire: Yves cannot live a lie; he loves to dress fancy. He loves buttoned shirts and vests and cute pageboy hats and even ribbons, sometimes. He doesn't go out of his way to dress in a feminine manner, but he definitely tries to look as nice as possible as often as possible.
Uniform: He wears slacks, a nice shirt, and an apron while at work.

Flavor Text: Small and willowy, Yves walks with surprising presence for his youthful features and stature. Wide, honey brown eyes are often set into a scowl and are accompanied by thick, dark eyebrows that lend to a somewhat comical look. Sandy hair whips across his forehead in a side-swept cut, the rest tidy and combed back into a gentle curl at the nape of his neck. His attire consists of nice shirts and jeans, largely casual but he still takes care to appear professional when needed. Frequent walks around town gives him a sun-kissed appearance when the weather permits, but he always burns before he tans.

Yves gives off a strong, paternal vibe. A zealous, empathetic fellow who listens to your problems, he is a go-getter and believes that everyone should follow their dreams. He is compassionate, but stern, and wants to be there for people who can't stand up for themselves. Although he is well-meaning, there are times that he seems curt or rude, because he may lose patience with people. Snobbish folks or those who refuse to lift a finger to try tend to ebb away at his patience, and his hopeful attitude fades. He will lose interest. Because Yves is straight-forward and honest, he comes off as bristly.

Yves grew up believing that anything could be done if you worked hard enough, so people who think otherwise just don't cut the mustard. He tries to combat this with helpful words and actions, but he won't do everything for them. Confidence is not something he lacks, and he tries to instill that in others the best he can. Despite this, he often denies his own need for help, as if vigorous work and philanthropy will help him avoid his own emotional needs.

He had a hard time making friends because he prioritized work and his family above other things. Classmates would come over to play, but could never stay long as chores had to be done. As he grew older and independent, Yves began to branch out and socialize, forgetting how much he loved simply hearing others talk.

Likes: Art, wildlife, exploring the outdoors, rainy days, a good book (mystery novels? yes. romance novels? yes.), coffee, tea, philanthropy, cute things.

Dislikes: Pushy people, the kinds of stains that never come out, political debates, public transportation (he would rather walk or ride a bike), bullies, animal cruelty, rude/crass behavior, laziness, sleeping in.

Hobbies: Reading, going on long walks, gardening with his mum, sketching/painting (although he isn't very good at all), playing the violin, sewing. He is actually very good at sewing, fixing his own clothing and even crafting cute little animal dolls from time to time.

Written History: Yves grew up of a lower middle-class, in Durem. They got by, but he was often envious of other children's toys and new clothes. Yves and his sister, Idette, were no strangers to cleaning, organizing, cooking - whatever they were needed for. Yves found purpose in being helpful.

Every summer, the siblings would go see their grandparents. Owning Lecuyer Instrumental made them wealthy, but Yves' parents would refuse their money at every turn. They insisted on making their own way without relying on charity.

Eventually, Idette chose to stay with her grandparents permanently. Yves remained at home and took a job as soon as he could, but still took time to visit his grandparents when he could. When he moved out he remained close to his family, but began to branch out for himself, as well. Friends hosted parties, he met people. Even though dating had yet to work out, Yves opted for a couple pets; first, a cat, then a dog so the cat wouldn't be lonely. They bonded, despite their differences.

Having great interest in animals and their well-being, Yves took a job at a pet grooming salon and became an apprentice under the owner. The store was a trek from his home, but he gladly went to work, taking away as much from it as he could and gaining knowledge in grooming and advanced pet care. Although he greatly enjoyed his job, he found himself longing to own his own grooming parlor, closer to home.

With that in mind, Yves put himself through school to gain his business degree. Owning his own store and making his own schedule had always appealed to him, even from a young age. Getting through school was difficult, due to having to juggle work with classes (much like the rest of the universe), but he devoted himself to his education and graduated in as timely a manner as he could manage.

Starting a business was incredibly difficult. One had to have money, gumption, luck - or rich grandparents. Although he knew his parents would be disappointed, Yves had poured his concerns and dreams out to his grandparents and gratefully accepted their help in starting his grooming parlor. Having had their offers for money refused so many times during their grandchild's childhood, they were more than willing to give him the money he needed to buy a building and get to work.

Yves never told his parents where he got the money or how he managed to doctor up an old store into something polished and adorable "on his own." He still feels some shame, to this day, over what he feels as a betrayal to his parents' teachings. At the same time, his grandparents had more money than they knew what to do with and wanted to help their grandson out. Yves had taken the money and shut his mouth; he was just grateful as hell for their help.

The business thrived and Yves was able to hire some help, allowing him the freedom of leaving the store when needed to run errands or simply run home to check on the little monsters. Time passed, he established a reputable grooming parlor. Things were good, life was alright.

One day Yves saw an ad posted on a pole: adoption. He scrutinized it; it was different, not like normal adoption. Not an animal nor a human, but something in-between. It intrigued him and he thought about it every day. He loved caring for things, and felt that something truly was missing in his life. If not a sibling, or a lover, perhaps a child? Heck, even a roommate would suffice. The animals would never have to be lonely, between the two of them.

After much thought (much thought, a lot of self-doubt, some reassuring, etc) Yves bit the bullet and turned his application in. It was not a decision he made lightly, and he spent every moment afterward with butterflies turning somersaults in his stomach.

User Image
Batilde Cosette Lecuyer: Yves' mother, a spry woman with a strong sense of family. She is prideful and fierce, but also loving and kind. She and Yves have tea together on Sundays, and he helps her out in her garden sometimes.

Albert Jude Lecuyer: The father of the household, Albert is quiet and has lines on his face from frowning. Not unkind, but firm and often terse, giving off the impression of a sour grape. Yves got his winning personality from his papa.

Idette Camille Lecuyer: The baby of the family, Idette always coveted the richer life and made a beeline for her grandparents' house at their first request. Now she is married and well taken care of. Although she loves the pampered life, she is no stranger to hard work, and can bust a job out as quickly as any of her servants.

Adam Alexis Lecuyer: The grandfather of the Lecuyer family. An old, short, kindly-looking man, Adam wants to spoil the heck out of his grandkids, but gets blocked by his own children almost every time. Owns Lecuyer Instrumental, and secretly paid for Yves to start his own grooming parlor. It's his grandson, damn it, he's going to pay for whatever he wants! This is for making him tone down the Christmas gifts all those years.

Colette Emeline Lecuyer: Yves' grandmother, a tall and sharp woman who towers over her husband. Looks very mean, but is very kind and tries to get Yves to come over as often as possible. She sends him letters (very old-fashioned, but Yves loves them so much) with pictures of cute dogs that she finds in magazines because she knows he enjoys them immensely. She was super pleased to help pay for Yves to begin his own business; after all, she and Adam had practically paid for Idette's entire life once she had moved in with them.

Pets: Yves owns two pets: Bubs, an adult Siamese cat that is equal part fat and lazy, and Peanut, a young and crazy chihuahua/terrier mix. The two are best friends, although Peanut tends to be wary of Bubs and his huge paws, and Bubs gets sick of Peanut always going for his meaty neck when they play fight in the yard.

Past Ideas:

Raevans

[.Name]: Jae-Hwa [jeh hwa] (Korean); meaning "Respect and beauty."

[.Guardian]: Robert Clare
[.Gender]: Male
[.Alignment]: Neutral - Neutral alignment, also referred to as True Neutral or Neutral Neutral, is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment. This alignment represents neutral on both axes, and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. A farmer whose primary overriding concern is to feed his family is of this alignment. Most animals, lacking the capacity for moral judgement, are of this alignment. Many thieves and rogues, who play all sides to suit themselves, are also of this alignment.
[.Fel Essence]: Shock Wave
[.Soul]: Raijū

[.Personality]: Jae-Hwa radiates a quiet intensity akin to that of a firecracker. Although generally a calm, agreeable Raevan, his temper can flare up without much provocation, and when he yells, his voice is terribly loud and booming, almost like thunder. Even when he isn't yelling, his voice is bold and strong, every word spoken in a very deliberate tone.

He oftentimes struggles with the impression his temper leaves on others. Because it is largely out of his control, he easily becomes frustrated with himself and others. Despite this, he is almost always surprised to find others angry with him, not understanding why he, who goes through so much effort to curb his temper, wouldn't be understood and spared. Jae-Hwa's attitude is often "Why me?"

Meditation is one of his favorite hobbies, due to its calming properties and allowing him to become more 'in tune' with the natural world around him. He doesn't mind company while doing this, because he is actually quite good at holding his concentration. He is very traditional in everything that he does, preferring using "natural" things over new technology and the like.

[.Likes]: Painting on himself, observing fish, being understood.

[.Dislikes]: Thunder/lightning storms. They scare the hell out of him, ironically. When it begins to rain, he starts to get uneasy, but he doesn't truly react until the thunder and lightning come.

[.Hobbies]: Meditating, reading, fishing with his hands (thus far unsuccessful).

[.Sustenance]: Pressure? Haha. I was thinking he could feed off of vibrations in the air, or by pressure created by something. If all else, maybe he could use sound waves as a source of sustenance. Crank up the tunes and sit back, that sort of thing.

[.Possible Abilities]:

Passive Abilities:

Pulse: When he is adequately vexed, his body releases an involuntarily "pulse" of energy; i.e., a shock wave. Not a very strong one, but perhaps increasing in strength as he gets older, the intensity depending on his level of anger. It would be an ability he wouldn't be able to control unless he controlled his temper, and wouldn't be that strong of a power. In short, it would allow you to "feel" his anger. As he learns to control it, it would eventually become an active ability.

Static: If startled (for example, being touched when he wasn't expecting it), his body will emit a tiny shock, akin to the static a balloon might inflict on a person. He doesn't mean to do it, rather, it's an involuntary reaction, a sort of "defense mechanism" he never intended to have built into his system. As he grows older and is able to better control his abilities, he'll likely gain control over this, too.

Active Abilities:

Voice Like Thunder: He can yell. Super loud. Not loud enough to cause someone to be deaf, of course, but definitely louder than the typical vocal range. This comes from the legend of the Raijū, telling of its cry sounding like thunder.

-

[.Name]: Jae-Hwa [jeh hwa] (Korean); meaning "Respect and beauty."

[.Guardian]: Robert Clare
[.Gender]: Male
[.Alignment]: Neutral Evil - Neutral evil is called the "Malefactor" alignment. Characters of this alignment are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. An example would be an assassin, who has little regard for formal laws but does not needlessly kill. A villain of this alignment can be more dangerous than either lawful or chaotic evil characters, since he is neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent.
[.Fel Essence]: Shock Wave
[.Soul]: Snow Leopard

[.Personality]: Note: This is only a first step toward establishing a personality for him. Once (if) I get him, he may take a turn and act slightly different. This is my attempt to lay down the groundwork for him, however.

A moody and irritable boy, Jae-Hwa seems to act only in his own self-interest. He tends to get on peoples' bad sides due to his lack of respect for authority and of the rules. Finding himself unable to raise his voice past a certain point, due to the inability to roar in snow leopards, he has a difficult time making himself heard in large crowds or noisy places. As such, he avoids them like the plague, only venturing out when he absolutely has to. This behavior has caused many to misjudge him as a recluse, and although he does prefer only a few people as compared to a group, this is not necessarily the case.

In very serious situations, he will more than likely remain calm; he generally knows when it's best to freak out and when he should try to keep his composure, but he is only "human", and can't always react in the proper way. Other personalities are his weak point, but with something like a situation, and not another person, he may have a better chance of doing the right thing. When he's serious, he becomes very stoic, but also retains that level of irritability that he's known (and loved, amirite?) for.

He absolutely loathes being told to do something that doesn't hold any appeal to him. His general response is shock, anger, sulking, and afterward, feigned apathy. Despite all of his temper issues, he is actually a sweetheart, although it is buried... deep. Very deep. He is a bit of a stinker, however, in that he won't hesitate to step on someone to get what he wants, in correspondence with his alignment. Because hey, when he wants something, he wants it.

His harsh attitude masks a sort of nurturing personality as he gets older; likely never going to be the type to be able to express what he's really feeling properly, he'll always end up saying the wrong thing and getting frustrated over it. To those who have a bit of an understanding of him, they'll know he's only concerned, and that his attitude is more of a brotherly one.

It is difficult for him to make friends, and even more difficult for him to truly trust others, but when he does, they are his friends for life or else. He will go to great lengths to keep those he likes around, as he rarely becomes attached to anyone. His idea of a "friend" is a bit different from the conventional sense, in that he could consider a "much hated" rival to be a friend without telling them. So know that if he's stepping on you, it might be his subtle way of telling you he loves you.

That being said, if he has truly, truly made a friend of you, and you really are held close to his heart, you will never leave that place. Ever.

[.Likes]: Solitude, respect, drawing with pens, sumi-e painting, the sound of water rushing over rocks.

[.Dislikes]: Excessively noisy people or creatures, being prodded, being teased, being hungry, public speaking, nicknames, disrespectful people (hypocrite...).

[.Hobbies]: Finger-painting, people-watching, napping in the shade, going with Robert to the zoo while he works, going through Robert's animal journals (and sometimes scribbling in them when he's angry).

[.Sustenance]: Pressure? Haha. I was thinking he could feed off of vibrations in the air, or by pressure created in something, i.e. in a submarine, deep in the ocean or something. [shot] Or maybe he could feed off of any sort of "waves" in the air, like sound waves. Get hungry, pop in some tunes... I get the feeling that would be a slow way of eating, as he doesn't like loud noises...

Body Heat: In order to protect themselves from the harsh snow and wind, snow leopards curl their great tails around themselves while lying down. The raevan's body temperature would shift, depending on the environment, to warm him should he become too cold.

Active Abilities:

Walk on Snow: Once he gains legs, he will be able to somehow manage to walk on top of snow, instead of falling in, should he desire. This would require a certain amount of concentration and effort, and so would be an active ability.

Guardians

-------------------------
General Information:
-------------------------

[.Name]: Robert Clare
[.Age] 33
[.Sex]: Male
[.Ethnicity]: French. He has a delightful accent that is supposed to drive the ladies wild, but seems to make them dissolve in giggles instead.
[.Sexuality]: Straight; although he has never pursued a relationship with anyone, as it simply doesn't interest him at the time. His parents, of course, passed on horribly worried for their middle-aged, single son who spends all day with a bunch of animals instead of chasing girls.
[.Occupation]: A caretaker at the Isle de Gambino Zoo. He mainly checks up on the animals, sometimes feeding them when needed.
[.Currently Resides]: After his parents' passing, Robert was able to buy their home in Isle de Gambino, a chance he leapt on both in order to preserve their memory and to live close to where he works.
[.Family]: None; his parents passed on and he was an only child.

---------------
Appearance:
---------------

[.Height]: 5' 10"
[.Weight]: 155 lbs
[.Build]: Average; he's not too soft, but not too solid, either. His active lifestyle of following animals, as well as a few push-ups at home and some jogging, allows him to remain on the skinnier side, but other than that, he does little to build muscle. He is in fairly good shape, but sometimes he finds himself short on breath.
[.Eye Color]: A lively, vibrant shade of green. Although generally smiling, they can shift to a stormy, heated reflection in a heartbeat.
[.Hair Color]: A soft, slightly rich brown.
[.Hair Style]: Not to be bothered with actually styling his hair, Robert tends to let it do what it will. His bangs are slightly long, but not to the point of obstructing his field of vision. The rest of his hair reaches just past the nape of his neck. He pushes what he can behind his ears, but the rest of his bangs fall over his forehead, generally parting successfully in the middle.
[.Facial Hair]: Stubble always lines his jaw from his sideburns; however, due to a lack of paying attention, it more often than not is a short beard by the time he gets around to shaving it again.
[.Skin Tone]: Slightly tanned, and obviously by being out in the sun frequently, and not due to birth or other means. He is often sunburned here and there, especially on his face.
[.Distinguishing Marks]: His hands bear some scars from handling dangerous and/or disgruntled animals, and from other activities within the zoo. His nose is also bent slightly from being broken once.
[.Casual Attire]: Blue jeans and polo shirts; comfy and practical is how he likes it.
[.Uniform]: His uniform consists of khaki shorts, complete with multiple pockets for all of his zoological needs, and an off-white, button-down, long-sleeved safari shirt. Super cool. He always has the sleeves rolled up, and, when he can get away with it, the first few buttons undone on a hot day. The rest of his working attire consists of sturdy, brown hiking boots, and semi-long black socks, never rolled down. The sad thing is, he puts this on and says to himself, "Lookin' good, Robert."

[.Written Description of Looks]: Lively green eyes are set in a chiseled, slightly tanned face, with a wide jaw and mouth. Although this may sound dashing, his personality tends to lead people to believe otherwise. His hair is a soft brown, extending barely past the nape of his neck and falling over his forehead in partially separated bangs. Not to be bothered with doing his hair or any of that nonsense, he pushes what he can behind his ears, allowing his bangs to roam free, although they tend to part in the middle somewhat. His face is very cheerful in its features, and almost laughable as his nose is bent somewhat.

His jaw is lined with brown stubble, which extends from his sideburns and is more often than not an actual beard by the time he gets around to shaving it. He is slightly tall, and as a particularly short and chubby child, has thankfully grown into his skin with his new height.

-----------------------------------------
Personality and Miscellaneous Info:
-----------------------------------------

[.Description of Personality]: Think Captain Planet, only less extraordinary and with less blue skin/green hair/tight uniform. Robert is all about keeping the planet clean and safe for all manner of creatures to live on, and will go out of his way to sort his own garbage (and, sometimes, his neighbor's) in order to recycle. Anything to help the environment!

He is a cheerful, outgoing man, and often honest to a fault. Although generally good-natured, he can become aggravated quite easily by certain things. He does not show aggression in the way most people do, being a very laid-back (although oftentimes easily excitable) man. Where one might yell or resort to violence, Robert's is a quiet temper, and his punishment is generally dealt in a calm manner.

He does not appreciate rude or stupid people, and sadly, has little patience for either. Humans in general tend to get on his nerves, and so he spends the majority of his time with his animal friends at the zoo. He has great patience for animals, able to easily sit and watch one for hours in order to become acquainted with it. Everything he learns, he jots down in his journal. If a member of the zoo has not yet been given a name, he takes it upon himself to do so, thus becoming emotionally attached every time.

[.Likes]: Animals; ever since he was a child, he has found them exciting and enthralling, and until he was forced to stop Trick-or-Treating at the age of sixteen, he would dress up as an exotic animal for Halloween. They are his main passion, and the only things that really share the space in his heart are his family and coffee.
[.Dislikes]: Littering! Do not litter near this man. He believes strongly in preserving habitats for animals, and pollution makes him sick. He'll rip you a new one if you toss garbage anywhere but in the trash can in his zoo. Recycle when you can, too!
[.Hobbies]: Keeping a journal on the animals at the zoo. He enjoys taking pictures of the animals and taking notes of their habits, personalities, and quirks. Animals are his passion and it is his goal to learn as much as he can about every animal at the zoo. He has many journals.

------
Past:
------

[.Written History]: Robert has lived a fairly normal life. He grew up in France, only to eventually migrate over with his parents to Gaia as a young teen, where they set up permanent residence in Isle de Gambino. There he grew up around exotic animals and many natural resources, encouraging his love for animals and the world surrounding him. Although a particularly active child, he was still heavy-set for his age, and so had a bit of a hard time getting around. Still he pursued butterflies, frogs, fish and birds with breathless abandon, and still continues to do so.

After he was old enough to move out, Robert lived temporarily in Durem to pursue a higher education; finding the city to be very unsatisfactory, as soon as he was done with it he promptly moved again to Barton. His life there was short-lived, however, with the gradual passing-away of both of his parents. Gathering his savings, he bought their home in Isle de Gambino and has lived there since. He feels at ease in his old home, knowing his parents died of old age and lived very fulfilling lives. Some speculate he reminds himself of this sometimes, in order to avoid the thought of being haunted by them, should they ever feel the need.

---------
Family:
---------

[.Mother]: Agnès Clare; deceased.
[.Father]: Rémy Clare; deceased.
[.Siblings]: None.
[.Pets]: Surprisingly, none. Robert feels that it would be unfair of him to "cheat" on any pets he may own at home, as he spends his working day at the zoo with so many other animals. Instead, he thinks of all of the animals at the zoo as his pets, and loves them equally.

Here is a roleplay between my guardian and Derivative's. Our way of getting to know our characters a little better.

The Knight's Oath sounds interesting, but I don't think it encompasses what an Essence should be. An Essence is something that is not feasible in nature like fire that has no smoke or a liquefied diamond. Your listed Essence, while not a thing of nature, is feasible because during the Middle Ages knights did take oaths of valor and such. Also, the oath being on a scroll would be too literal and make sense while the words in a vial/bottle would most likely be stepping on the toes of an already existing Essence, Visual Fairytale, which is owned by Black Duvet. I'd recommend re-reading the definition of an Essence located on the shop's first page, plus looking through people's quest threads and journals to get a good grasp on what an Essence truly is.

Other than that, I like your Soul idea. n.n Griffin's are very cool creatures and a Raevan with that soul would be very neat indeed. On his hobby of horseback riding though; I'm not a horsewoman, I've only done trail rides really, but it takes a lot more than just holding the reins to control a horse. Legwork and being seated on the saddle is important and I think having something floating up and behind it would really spook the animal. The only way I could see the Raevan getting into it would be once he reaches Valsaros stage and has a full body. As a Frei and Sigel he'd probably just be tugged around, and if the horse got spooked the Raevan would be free flying behind it as he holds on to the reins. One last thing on him, I notice you say he likes tea, but he more than likely would not be able to consume that until at least Sigel stage where they can start to consume simple things like drinks. The majority of what he will be consuming will be dictated by his Essence. For example, my chosen Essence is called 'Dull Opal', so given this my (hopeful) Raevan will eat colors.

Your Guardian could use some more fleshing out, but he seems to be an interesting guy from what you have out now. n.n

Good luck with your concept Logue and I'll just add you have a really nice style of art. :3

Oh my god, my internet is being soooo slow. D=

I was worried about the spoken thing, because of the ones already done, which is what caused me to put up the poll. I'll have to rethink my essence, I suppose.

As for the horse-back riding thing, I know it is hard. I've ridden horses, but what I had in mind was that he would be permitted to "ride" a gentle, older mare, who would pretty much just amble about until he was done. Like you said, I can't see him actually riding a horse until he was fully developed. Really riding a horse takes your whole body. e_e I guess, think of a... carnival horse? xD; The little ponies the kids get to ride in circles on. I doubt anyone would let him go near anything but in the state he would be in for the majority of his life.

Yeah, I'm not nearly done with the guardian section. I just wanted to start getting crits on the Raevan, and I did! Thank you very much for your input. It helps a lot. <3 Oh, and thank you. I wish I could color, but I can't, so all I can do is scan in messy lineart. @_@ I can't ink, either.

Updated! I changed the essence to a new idea, just to toss it around. I'm open for suggestions on new essences! I also changed Owain's profile a lot, kind of starting over since I scrapped the "knight's oath" idea.

This new essence... what do you guys think?

D: Bad Internet, go faster.

*nod* It'd be a good idea, plus I would think the oaths of knights were spoken aloud rather than read off a scroll, since I would think most knights in that time would be illiterate. Literacy I think was reserved for the papacy and the nobility while knights were landowners...I think. *can't exactly remember* History lessons escape me!

And ah I see. I guess that could work, though you could always ask around about for that particular hobby. n.n There's quite a few horsemen/women around Lab who would, I'm sure, be happy to help in that field there. Little ponies? Ah Shetlands. XD That would look pretty interesting to behold!

You're very welcome on both, I'm always glad to help and I've actually got a bit of crit/comments for your new Essences that you have. For the first, I see that it's just information on shock waves (looks like Wikipedia was the source) rather than telling what the Essence is. Shock waves happen and end so is this a shock wave that doesn't end or is it something different? Info on what you're taking your Essence from is good to have for yourself for reference, but people will be looking at what the Essence actually is rather than what it's hailing from.

Your second Essence confuses me. It's "Independent Moonlight" yet it's actually reflected sunlight? That's neither independent nor moonlight. Of course I could be reading it wrong since your wording does seem a bit tricky. @___@ Also, there's already a moonlight Essence which belongs to Rochan, called "Liquid Moonlight". You might want to take a gander at her Essence over at her quest thread, just to make sure you aren't stepping on any toes or anything like that.

EDIT: Disregard those last bits. n.n; By the time I posted it you got rid of that second one there and added what your Essence will be exactly. My bad!

xD I'm a sneaky bugger. I was in a hurry this morning, so I'm sorry it didn't make much sense at first. I just wanted to get the info down so I could get ouuuttta there.

Thank you so much, again, for your help. Your comments really are helping me. Especially your first ones. I was straying from what an essence really was, but now I remember. ^^

You're sooo helpful. [luffs]

XD! That's not a bad thing!

And not a problem, I'm always happy to help out. *luffs back* I'm sure your idea will be a really great one once it's all formed and such. Good luck again!
