The space node has officially been called "Colbert" but NASA is against it because he used his show as a way to get the node named after him.
By the way GAIA got 3rd....

Yeah, that was announced awhile ago. Granted, the site does say they wanted something in the same category as the other two nodes.
They aren't actually going to make a decision on the name until next week, anyway.
The rules did say that NASA would get the final decision on the name, so from the beginning everyone should have known that even if Colbert had the most votes, the Node wouldn't necessarily be named after him.

Did he ever mention Gaia?
Also, Gaia can still be choosen due to the fact that NASA doesn't like the name Colbert, and was looking for a name to fit in.

There is no way they are going to officially name is Colbert.
Its gonna be Serenity.
Or even possibly Gaia.
