Steampunk is gorgeous and quite spiffy, but it must be said that it is not quite practical for everyday wear.
That being said, for your day-to-day attire, do you all run about in Victorianesque outfits on a daily basis, do you just wear steampunkish accessories with a different sort of style or do you wear average clothing most of the time and only dress up for costume balls and the like?
I personally am the second answer (jeans, sweatshirt, scarf and a pocketwatch), but I am curious as to your answers.

well..I usually wear dress pants instead of jeans, unless I'm doing yard work or something of the sort. sometimes a pocket watch?
I jsut got a top hat though! so I need to find uses for it...
and a new brown skirt and boots~

For everyday, I usually wear black jeans and an untucked shirt and a vest over, along with my bowler hat.
I'm currently working on some accessories, hopefully they'll come out subtle enough to be worn everyday.

Most of the time, I don't wear steampunk.
I wear a pair of darkwash jeans, a dress shirt tucked in, and a tight vest over it. I don't really wear hats, but I do wear a leather wristband, a watch, and some rings. I also wear a fake earring on my right ear, but overall, not steampunk.
I'll do it a lot more once I get my stuff from the city, but I'm also probably the only Steampunk dude who's secure enough to wear womens' shiny black leggings.

I generally wear average clothes, pretty casual, boring. All my costumes are in my head, as I have nowhere to go and no-one to go with. XD

i go casual, I wear a black trench coat, welding goggles, knee high spiked boots and chains on my pants
I'm working on something more steampunky though :3

brown jeans, brown trainers or boots, White pinstripe shirt, black waistcoat.
or i replace the shirt and waistcoat with a Brown shirt (it has lapels! and lots of pockets!) also, im buying a pair of brown jeans off my mate which has tonnes of zips, pockets and chains. (you can unzip them above the knees to have chainy shorts!

Oh, yes, and my brown corduroy trenchcoat. I'd forgotten, now that it's warm enough to go without.

On a day to day basic, t-shirt and jeans.
However, on rare occasion, I get "dressed up", in which I won't wear jeans, I'll wear my khaki's or overalls, and my boots.
Accessory wise, I'll wear my necklaces, and compass/pocketwatch combo on my overalls. And if it's cold, I tend to wear the scarf.
If I'm going to a special costuming event, or whatev, I'll wear the full shabang smile
