OK which section in your acts as if they are more superior? xp
I know in my both my high schools my flutes always had learned what was needed but i couldn't help but get frustrated with them when they acted as if they were better than anyone else... It's all about how the band sounds and gets along as a whole not just a section

Yah, some of our trumpets act like they are some hot shots that can play anything, but when only the trumpet section plays certain parts of a song, they can't even play it. And most of them need an attitude adjustment.

kennywfz Yah, some of our trumpets act like they are some hot shots that can play anything, but when only the trumpet section plays certain parts of a song, they can't even play it. And most of them need an attitude adjustment. I second that. Most of our trumpets are complete idiots who can't play their parts and always share 3 to a stand because they forgot their music and always play too loud on purpose and always get yelled at. *sigh*

our one tenor sax is a total bag. I asked the BD for help on a note with my bassoon because I couldn't figure it out and I'd only been playing for a month, and she turned to ema nd said "just skip it, that way you don't seem like an idiot"
so yeah. not only does she act like she's better, but apparently, she thinks trying makes you seem stupid.

I would have to say our one baritone sax. He just thinks he knows everything. For the last two years he went out for a leadership position and he didn't get it because he didn't meet the requirements. Every single day, he plays Crazy Train or some other marching piece. He did it at Honor Band and the rest of us just looked at him and walked away. Our BD yelled at him when she had the chance.

We have a lot of really good trumpets, but the two or three that are really
cocky screw up everything. I can't stand them.

a definite tie between the trumpets and flutes. trumpets talk nonstop of their superiority and flutes just gaze at us in stony silence.

The mellos/horns, without a doubt.
We are respected above all others.
And I'm not saying that because I'm in love with the mello/horn xD.
But it is true.
All the other sections tend to be either good at playing OR good at marching. We're both, AND we're the ones that tend to rebel against the system.
The bad kids, but the good kids. All in one Mellotastic package 3nodding

saxes? they'll have the same part as clarinets or the rest of the band, but play much louder than the rest of us even though it's piano or wtv

A few of the kids in the drum line do, they are just freshmen and we still haven't trained them fully yet lol. other than that, one kid in the trumpet section thinks that he owns the world. its not really whole sections that do it, just a few people. sadly tho, most are in the drumline. (im ashamed cuz im a senior in the drumline.)

XxVenomForFree i will have to say the Tubas becaue we think well we are the best Those are some sexy tubas in your siggy. our tubas suck. they were donated cuz we didn't have money to buy one cuz im from CA and we have no funding. crying we did end up having a bbq and buying a new one, but then our tuba player (one...we had one tuba player...) graduated...now a newbie is playing it and he put dents in it already.
