Wassail!
I think everyone who has "powers" has gone through this "Apocalypse of the Week" thing that a lot of teens go through. If you haven't gone through this, don't worry about it, you haven't missed much. But I want to know other peoples stories about this.
My experience was about the end of the world coming from a demon thing called Avaruu, or something, the god of Chaos who was going to come and destroy the world like he had numerous times before or something. Now, I focused my life on this entirely, and it caused a lot of problems between my friends and I. A lot of the fun things were that I realised that I could do these things, like moving the wind, calling on spirits of nature that sort of thing. It really helped in my psychic development but I look back on it now and I go: Really?! I thought that? Why?
The funny thing is that the more we thought about these things, the more bad things would happen, in reality. We would see the things that we thought were coming, or something and we would have to fight them back, when in reality it was something we had created.
What are some of your experiences with this?

Allow me to deliver a quick quote from Generation Hex: Jason Louv Like apocalypse, awakening is an event that has been "just around the corner" for thousands of years now, posited by every generation. it seems to be an integral part of the human experience to project these endgame scenarios into the near future in order to enact the consequences within the present, to either drawl personal conviction from them or to assist in hoodwinking others. People often can't see far enough beyond their own skins to conceptualize change without it being terminal - if one is to die, then the world must end as well; if one is to be judged, then so must the world; if one is to be enlightened, then certainly all must follow the same route. Since such a cataclysmic event never comes (and thank goodness!), though we may all undergo periodic holocaust and liberation, it seems clear that we are forbidden from abdicating responsibility for our existences by relying on the crutch of endgame. To me it seems that once you have the antagonist (Avaruu), his machinations become evident in everyday life - what was once just pure luck, fate, coincidence or Karma is now Avaruu reaching out to you in order to prevent you from disrupting his plans. Interestingly, though, even though most of the scenario is fabricated, the importance that's given to it allows one to make earnest progress. Kind of like how Evey in V for Vendetta believed she would be put to death for V's ideal; even though it was a sham, she still developed her ability and purpose.

I just find it funny that other people have gone through this. I was listening to a podcast called Shadowdance and the hosts were talking about their lives and about the mistakes they had made in their lives. And they got to a part when they were talking about the END OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT! Because a lot of teens who are into this kind of stuff seem to want to think that.
If anyone has any stories about this, do tell. I want to hear some XD

I don't really have a story detailing it, but as a kid (9 years ago, so I would've been 11), I thoroughly believed in the apocalypse coming in the year 2000. =P

I wouldn't do that if I were you.

What if someone was pulling from the otherside, you could break something. I wouldn't tempt Fate.

Actually I think your right about something else happening because last summer I was fairly new to atmokinesis and thought it was awesome. I think that I accidentally created to many storms. In august the radio said something about a tornado coming our way. I got the point about creating to many storms and luckily the tornado dissipated before it reached us. sweatdrop

Well I'm not sure about this but why not post? After a couple of days of feeling like a 'bad' kind of 'someone or something is watching you' feeling I texted my knoweldgeable friend and asked her if she got anything off of what I was feeling. She and I basicly got the same things: dread, death and dispair (The Big Ds). She also said that the thing that I was feeling was the 'apparent' demon. That's when I was feaking out, mostly not for myself but for my friends and family since I saw them everyday and I didn't know if she (we both got the feeling that she was a girl) would try and hurt them. My friend also said that the demon wanted me and I basicly put holy water on my walls as well as the symbols on my walls, I would make a sheild, use protection spells and put these weird symbols on my walls (I took them off because they made me throw up and gave me a cold after that, which I still sortof have). Were not sure what happened to her but I really would rather not know.

When I was in middle school I had repetitive dreams of destruction, decaying buildings, war, and constant running for survival. I remember I had to steal things off of dead bodies. Truly frightening. I remember seeing advanced flying technology (like planes), and people running from cities. One image remains indelible in my mind: a lone tree amidst a crumpled building.
Is this what you are talking about? End of the world ordeals?

I was always wondering if others have had stuff like this.

I've had the same dreams as Maybellah, well not exactly her dreams. It's just one of the world in ruins and fire, but I'm pretty sure that's common, well more common then say a personal dream. Many people have probably had my dream. But a question on atmokinesis. I can make the weather, I guess, 'work' for me. Is that what it is?
