THIS IS NOT A DRILL
Sagebomb and associated accounts have been banned for "botting"
As sage is highly anti botting, Im hoping my evidance against the claims for perminant ban will help me fix things
The report said nothing else
I am working on getting things fixed, and hopefully justice will prevail
Its a sit and wait game for now
I will keep you updated
Vegas and blue can back this up, this is not a joke in anyway at all

I assume its because I've been selling excessive ammount of fish from durem. Even though I brought them all properally during my quest days.

It's true. I only wish I had known about it before he replied to the e-mail informing him his account(s) were banned. I am hopeful that the situation will be straightened out and that sage's accounts will be unbanned.
If anyone here ever gets a banned account (and you have done nothing to deserve the ban, I'm sure this probably goes without saying since I am fairly certain none of you would ever do anything to get banned)
1. Don't panic. Keep your cool. Do not let anger be your guide. Do not make angry rant posts about it anywhere on Gaia and most importantly DO NOT go on a rant about mods and what they should or should not be doing or insulting them in any way (that will only make getting your account back that much harder)
2. Contact a mod to get more information about your ban (because the e-mail will not give you any details about your ban and you basically only have one shot at having the ban reversed). Be as polite and coherent as you can be. These are the people who can help you and it will do you no good to start off on the wrong foot with them.
3. Once you have all the information about your ban, treat it as though you're writing a report for a school assignment. Organize your information, thoughts and any proof you might have to support your case.
4. Write or type it out on a separate computer program. Have a family member or friend read through it to make sure that you are getting your thoughts across. The person receiving your report does not have access to all your thoughts and will not be able to fill in the blanks for any information or thoughts you might omit.
5. Copy and paste it into an account feedback form (or use the link from the ban e-mail you receive).
6. Try to be patient and wait for a reply. The first reply you receive will be an auto-reply to confirm that your report has been received and you should receive that within 24 hours from the time your report is filed. The earliest you can expect an actual reply is around two weeks from the time you submit your report.
Things you should include in your report:
1 your ip address (and any other ip addresses you have used to access your Gaia account/accounts)
2 a list containing your main account(s) and ALL mule account(s) - they have access to all the information and will probably discover all of them during the investigation, so you might as well be up front about it and save them some work (which also comes across as you being cooperative and honest and will only help your case, although not if you did actually do something to break the rules)
3 any screenshots or proof which support your case (such as banners which prove you were on a quest, links to posts or threads)
4 the original e-mail address used to create the account
5 any screen name changes you might have made
6 a well thought out and clear explanation as to why you should get your account back
Things to avoid saying in your report -
"x item(s)" might have been botted - as this will only make it seem as an admission of guilt
angry rants
anything which might be taken as an insult by the person handling your report
admitting anything else they might not be aware of which would land you with a perma ban (such as, "I didn't bot. I just cybered...")
Chances are that unless you posted something or did something REALLY bad, your ban was done automatically by the system. For some reason, it seems as though a lot of bans go out stating that the account(s) is/are banned for botting when there's really some other reason for the ban(s). Although I don't have proof, I believe that most bans are actually done by the system. Trust me, the odds are that if your account is banned, it was not banned by a mod actually physically going into your account and banning it (unless, of course, you were blatantly breaking the rules - like cybering or posting inappropriate content over and over again). The first thing an omni mod will see when they receive your report will be your side of the story. Then they go into the system to see what triggered the ban. If your story jives with what they see on the system and you provide proof of your innocence, your account(s) will be restored.
If after the omni mod reviews your report and account history you still don't get your account restored, DON'T LOSE HOPE. You can still appeal the decision. It is possible that you were not clear in your report or left something out or still have information or proof that you can provide to support your case. At this point, the omni mod should include the reason why your account(s) was/were not reinstated and this might shed some light on areas you might need to clarify or prove further.
For those of you thinking TLDR, make a note this is information that you might need someday should you find yourself with a banned account. I just wanted to post it so that it's available should anyone else ever need it.

My first account I ever made on Gaia was banned for botting, which I don't even know how to do, so I obviously hadn't done it either. The account was never unbanned. I sincerely hope you have more luck than I did in restoring your account, Sage, but try not to get your hopes up.

I am hopeful, If I get a good mod it should hopefully be sorted quite well
Not all mods are so good though
But, you have to hold on to hope, because when you lose hope, you lose life

That's awesomely sucky... Why would they do that to you. Think about everything you were doing. Apparently I was haressing someone and I didn't know it. I had a 2 week ban remember? They'll fixit.

Hello, Your account was banned for botting or profiting from botting, which is aviolation of the Gaia Terms of Service. "Botting" is defined as using an automated script, macro, program, or othermeans to surf, post, or play games on Gaia in order to earn gold illegally.The use of anything which automatically earns gold for you is forbidden, andaccounts found to be using such software will be banned. Profiting from the efforts of botters is also forbidden, and accounts foundto be receiving botted gold or items are banned as well. As per our standards of moderation, your account will remain permanently banned.
was the reply. I have Pm'ed an omni from the fishing forum who I know from my fishing and questing days, asking him what I should do...If he remembers me (He Should), then hopefully he can help (Sorry vegas if this is something you would recomend against)

Basically, even those who bot/cheat try to get their accounts back because they think they can easily convince the mods to unban them, but only a truly innocent user would continue to fight to get his/her account back and provide proof of innocence. Be sure to tell him everything you can think of.

It is I, I would like to say a huge thanks to Gaiden (dont pm him though hes an omni and thus gets a bajillion pms per day). He was actually one of the first few gaians I knew back in the end of 2004 when I first started, So when I got secondarily denied I checked the fishing forum for Omnis, and knew I had a chance with him.
The-seer, Eukaryote, Gdapw, are still perma ban - But now sage is free Im going to see if Gaiden can help me on my other accounts.
So for now the scare is semi over...I only have 3/4 of my worth on those other 3 accounts XD, but at least with sage I can now do all my main account stuff again.
