has anyone ever heard non-band nerds say marching band is 2 girly? omg i hate that! i get it all the time! can someone tell me how marching band is so girly? there r absolutely no feminine guys in my marching band and all the girls are tomboys and lesbians! seriously, there are only like 3 people in a band of about 80 that r real feminine!

I have never heard anyone say that, but I don't get how walking around a football field in a uniform tooting a horn can be considered girly by any means. I could see someone saying it about color guard, though. xD
There are more men than women in our band (in fact, women weren't even allowed into the band until the late 60s, early 70s, I believe).
And I'm pretty feminine, I like makeup and dresses and all that, but that has absolutely nothing to do with band.

never heard that but.....y do people even think, in my band there is like not feminine girls....we are all tomboys and we like that......so if someone did say that i might punch them......so yeah.....but hello ugly uniforms u can't match anything and blah blah blah that those preps would say....no u can't u stupids.........ok well my point......hehe ok then

I've never heard that before. I've heard it called "gay" though. There are a few gay guys and lesbian girls in my band (Which is perfectly fine, and cool with me). That's strange that it would be called that.
Also, marching band is most deffinatly NOT GIRLY! Wow, the people that said that must have been ignorant. Of course they were ignorant, anyone who is immature enough to belittle, and ridicule marching band members obviously has no idea what they are talking about.
