Well most people in RL use a small fishnet and a plastic bag with water the same temp as the water in the bowl. Dunno how it's done on gaia.

I might be wrong, but on gaia aren't they just stuck in there . . . I know you can change the background and such but I'm not sure if you can take the fishies out . . .

Once you have installed a fish, you CAN NOT take it out... so choose wisely. Now, if you just want it out for LOOKS you can click and drag it to Barrett's Tank. But they can still age and die in there.
If you want to remove ITEMS, hover over them then click the red X when it appears.
Any other fishy questions, feel free to ask. I am a bit obsessed with them at the present time. xd

I just checked my fishies and found out something interesting. If you click on your fish in the tank, a window comes up that allows you to name that fish. In the bottom right corner of the window is an option to remove that fish from the tank. So, I guess you can do it . . . unless im wrong again . . .

In the bottom right corner of the window is an option to remove that fish from the tank. So, I guess you can do it . . . unless im wrong again . . . You can put them in Barrets tank, yeah. But they still affect your tank health and you can't sell them or trade them. They are soulbound.
