Appearance: Sen stands at a height of 5'7" in a 27 year old body. His hair is long and kept in a tail, reaching just about the middle of his back with a dark green tint at the ends that reach about a full inch back up his hair. His small eyes glimmer in gold and age that few say they get a shiver down their spines if they look directly into them. He traditionally dons a black, sleeveless top that is covered by a sweeping, black, tattered at the ends trench coat. In one of the pockets, he keeps a lighter, the case of which bears the english letters for 'Sin', with a flaming logo on the opposing side. Around his waist is his cloth belt, upon which his ancient katana is tied to his body. The legs are normally covered with white pants with dark flames riding up the legs, the lower half of the legs detachable by velcro. On his biceps, he bears six seperate and ancient kanji, 3 on each arm. Sen's right arm bears the title 'Dark Eternal Hellfire' while his left arm bears the marks for 'His World's Curse', both in a demonic font.
Personality: Sen, even though he does have a demon infused within him, does not go looking for trouble. Most of his life, trouble came towards him due to his predicament. When trouble does come around, he doesn't shrug it off or ignore it. He loves a challenge given to him and hopes that he won't be forced to beat his opponent without working a sweat.
Now, he spends his time admiring the beauty of the land, exploring the world and living a good life, at least trying to.
History
To first understand Sen's history, it must be known that there are demons out there that no words could describe, for they have no true form. There are demons with dual elements, such as the wind and heat demon that we encounter later, that no human has seen and only even appear in front of mortals every few hundred years to quench its taste for death and despair.
And some like to give the gift of 'reincarnation', keeping the same consciousness through multiple bodies, still being effected by age and death and anything else human, but the soul is improved through what elements the demons originally possessed.
And this is what happened with Sen, who encountered a wind and heat demon.
Here, we go back to his original incarnation and even to his parents. His parents, the samurai Juro Kato and his lovely wife Kohana lived in a small mansion on the Kato land in the village of Kakunodate. They lived happy lives, having 2 children, both girls before they had their third child, finally a male to Juro's delight. As Sen began to grow, Juro began to teach his son the way's of the clan, in specific the use of a katana.
When Sen turned 10 years old, a war came into the land, calling his father away. He told his son to help protect the home from any danger that may slip by. After such a sorrowful goodbye, his father left for war, leaving Sen with the family katana, and never returned alive. Six months after his father's leaving, Sen's life would be altered for all of eternity.
It was late at night, word had not yet come back to the family if the warriors were still alive or not. Sen stood guard outside, his katana beside him. His mother, sweet and kind as she was, pleaded with him to at least come inside, out of cold, to 'protect' her and his sisters. Reluctantly, he agreed, and came inside, as long as his sisters were to stay with him there with him in the dark living room. It wasn't but 30 minutes later, the door flung open, a massive and scorching wind blasting through the home. Sen's mother's eyes flung open at the sound and hurried out the room and into the living area. In the air, she found both her daughters hovering in the air, a red aura about them, their eyes slowly losing all signs of life, their screams silenced by the torrent of air the surrounded them. As they lowered back down to the floor, they became replaced with dark red sockets full of demonic evil, the girls' original souls dissolving as they exited the sockets.
The 16 and 12 year old girls turned towards their younger brother, who sat in a corner crying, clutching his family's katana fiercely. Both girls slowly began to walk towards to child, foaming at the mouth. Their mother watched from a distance, tears pouring from her black eyes as the demon who spawned what now occupied her daughters rushed to her, the scorching wind flying past her, an ethereal hand outstretched from nowhere and grabbed her chin, burning her flesh underneath. She began to scream, as more demonic hands sprouted and gripped at the mother, their touches burning through her night kimono and to the skin, giving her more burns. She could feel her soul being torn from her body, but she tried to hold on fruitlessly.
The torrent of wind suddenly stopped. The mother, who had closed her salty eyes in pain, opened them to find her son covered in blood. The bodies of her daughters lay on the ground, their beauty destroyed by the blade of their family. In Sen's eyes, his eyes did not glimmer, but were pale as he did what he knew was atrocious. He looked to his mother, and his mother into his eyes. At first, she was relieved. Then, her face contorted in terror as she realized that her only son had killed her lovely daughters. Despite her predicament, she began to spout names, demonic names, towards her son. She told him he was no longer a part of the family.
Sen was not faltered, for he was not paying attention. His mothers voice soon as destroyed as the demon who still held her in his invisible limbs ripped her soul violently from her body. The demon let go of the now still form, allowing it to fall lifelessly to the ground. The torrent demon's turned its attention to Sen, who stood their silently, looking at his dead mother's form. The demon then grabbed Sen and brought him into the air and smirked inwardly. The boy began to scream as tattoo's began to be etched into his arms. In his right, 'Dark Eternal Hellfire' and in his left, 'His World's Curse'. He let the boy drop, unconcious from the pain. The demon had placed these markings to allow him to put a part of himself into these 'scars', allowing his soul to meld into Sen's soul, instead of destroying it like what happened with the girls. This would make Sen's soul immortal, but his mortal body will decay.
The torrent of wind that still existed in the room suddenly dissappeared from the room, the scars on Sen's arms glowing a faint red, then fading to black. He stayed there for some time, until he awoke. His eyes changed to gold, his body gained some muscle that was proportional to his body. Unphased by the blood around him, he left the house, katana in hand, and disappeared from the village. While apart of him was saddened by the death from his family, he found courage to fight it and went on his search for more power, so such a thing could never happen again.
It was later in his first life that the demonic portion of his fused soul first showed itself, and he discovered his abilities to manipulate flame through a combination of the Wind and Heat demon's abilities...but that's another tale.
Weapon:
The katana that Sen uses has been used in his family for many generations. The beautiful katana had been past down from father to son as soon as the son has learned all he could from his father. However, that tradition ended with Sen, who never had any children in any of his incarnations (that he rightly knows of).
The blade of his weapon is made from the Japanese metal tamahagane, its edge and blade still sharp and rust-free from the frequent cleaning it's owner gives. Its length is just a tad longer than a regular katana, by about 2 inches. The hilt is made from solid pewter wrapped in black and green grip with an ivory cap. Upon the cap is engraved but only 3 symbols. One symbol is the Greek symbol for Infinity, one other being the kanji for 'fire', the last symbol being the family emblem; the emblem being a wolf with a body of a fox in its jaws.
For transition between incarnation to incarnation, before his death, Sen will send his sword to a family in Kakunodate. Normally, the family is the Sukiyama's of the area, who originally were friends of the family. They keep the sword for about 15 years, by then Sen's incarnation comes to claim his weapon back.
