We got a new trumpet player in band yesterday I guess.
She's fairly good from what I've heard her play by herself (she can play a C so she's off to a good start.) and she's from West Carroll.
Apparently she's been out with all the skaters in Milan so like everyone knows her. And she likes Harrison.
But her stepmommy was front page news today.
She's a teacher at West Carroll or she was at least. I'm sure she's not now.
SHE RAPED A STUDENT!!!!!!!!!
So thats basically all we talk about when we talk about her.
But she could get Harrison raped!
Brooks said that she looked like Jasmina and I was like *squint* I don't see it. I'll have to look at her again.
But I was listening yesterday to see if I would hear any new sounds now that we have two trumpet players who play but I didn't. So I guess she just plays quiet like Morgan.
So now we have 6 trumpets. I really hope this isn't like when Meagan came last year and we thought she was amazing but now she sucks and she's really annoying.
But I don't even remember her name, so let's hope the magic of a new trumpet player doesn't fade quickly.

...and is it bad that the only reason I clicked this thread was because there's a fellow percussionist named Harrison and the title sounds like something we'd say to him?

But that's...weird. Hope she doesn't suck. :l

Dude, that's really mean.
Just because her step-mom
(not even her REAL mother people... -_-; )
turned out to be a rapist
doesn't mean the girl had anything to do with it.
Do you think she ENJOYS having people
talk about her behind her back?
Would YOU?
Honestly, instead of being part of the crowd
and talking smack about her
or w/e it is that you guys talk about behind her back,
why don't you try standing out and being her friend
maybe getting to know her side of all of this even
just like a real band kid would do
before you go and talk stupid stuff about her and her family.
Anyway, if she's a good player,
then you shouldn't have to worry
about her personal life
because her personal life doesn't
or rather SHOULDN'T affect you.
Her playing on the other hand,
should most definetely affect
not just only you,
but the entire band as well.
So quit worring about her personal life
and worry more about the good of your band.

I kinda agree with Sanuka Uzumicha. You don't really know how the girl was effected by it or how she feels. You really shouldn't assume that she had anything to do with it.
