The sun sets every night, and rises every morning. Couples would lie in fields or on the beach and watch these events, the colors amazing. And each night everyone would crawl into bed and sleep for the next day to come.
Though one day, morning didn't come.
The darkness was forever. No light to show the paths of fun and joy. No light to feed the crops of the people. It stayed eternal night. What caused this? What has made the sun never show itself?
Nightmare. A creature with no form, no shape. It's just a mass of darkness. It changed the world for its own amusement. It lives in a forest, now known as Death's Door. Those that have entered have never returned. It threatens life but then it doesn't. It doesn't actively do anything. So is it evil or neutral?
The people grew weak and pale, food starting to become harder to find. Scientist work around the clock, trying to find new ways to grow food, to light the world. For the towns that survived the first year, they lived off of hard work all day. Children ran on treadmills to generate and store power. Male youth would either work in the mines for coal or work on The Wheels. The Wheels were giant gears, hand powered, to generate power. Those that lived near a flowing water source would use a water mill for power. Women seemed to have gone back in time. They were back to caring for the house and having children. The more children, the more power they can get for the future.
Most didn't survive the first year. But those that did started to evolve. People were started to have translucent skin and red eyes. Eye sight was poor for most, but others have adapted and grown to see in the dark. And some have grown to be beasts, blood thirsty with hunger and fear. Those that were changed would disappear into the night. Many rumors were that Nightmare was making an army. An army of fear.
Because of this the survivors grew angry. The strong and brave banded together to form a force against Nightmare. The Light. The force trains and fights off any stray creatures but they have yet to fight anything that resembles the Nightmare's army. Then the plan to invade Death's Door started to form.

Bio: He was only 3 when the night came to take over his world. Since he was so young he adapted well to the change. He hadn’t grown accustomed as some of the others had. He grew up like the rest of the children. As soon as he was old enough to he was put into the running mills. His parents died one day while he was working at the running mills. They were attacked by the changed creatures and killed. He grew angry. This was the first sign he had had to bear of the threats of the eternal night. When the men came through town speaking of starting The Light he joined. He was only 12. He grew strong and quick with gun blades. Soon, after an attack from the changed creatures, he had become the new leader of the force. His title, The Sun. Two year's later, the facility was begining to become over crowded and abandoned some orphans onto the street including Miyu. Most of the orphans became food for mindless killers. In rage Miyu slew their masters and fled from the mountains, crossing a hidden bandit camp, deep within the forest. They took her in and later on she killed a couple of hunters that were after the bandits, her potential were noticed. Since that day the girl was taught to manifest her powers and use them to obtain nearly anything and everything for the thieves. But one day, when she was 18, one of her so-called brother tried to rape her. Fortunately she was able to defend herself killing him in the process. Bio: Ayasha was born three years after the darkness had already spread across the land. She was the daughter of Native Americans from the Dakota Sioux tribe. Though many of her people died many were able to survive and evolve; because of this she was born with the usual red eyes and pale skin. She also had the gift of amazing night vision, which is why her grandfather trained her in the art of reading the land and tracking. Over the years she improved and honed her skills until she was the best tracker and scout in their entire tribe. Over the years she watched more and more of her people working in the running mills and changed creatures attacking more and more frequently. Though she had been born in the darkness she knew that the world hadn’t always been such a dangerous place. She grew up fascinated by the elders’ tales of the sun and how years ago beautiful light had swept across the land. She was determined to see the world as it had once been; to give people in the future a safe world to live in. Gabriel stood on the edge of the village, looking over the vast expanse of the dark fields. To normal people it would just seem like a dark expanse. To him it was another story. His eye sight was very keen in the darkness. He could see the small reflects from the eyes of the dark creatures. He was so keen to the sight that he could even tell what animal it was up to a point. He could even see the reflections off the shelled or slimed bodies of the insects. He could feel the eyes watch him from the darkness. While he stood there, he had never taken his hands off his gun blades. His short white hair was rustled by the wind and crossed over his eyes. He didn't move an ounce and neither did the dark creatures. They didn't want to die by his hand, not while he was on watch. The Sun would not be defeated by some animal.
Alex sat in a corner. He was by himself, though it seemed. He had a torch with him, burning on the floor next to him. He always had some form of light. So frightened of the night that he couldn't be left in the dark alone for long periods of time. He was facing the corner, mumbling under his breath. He was talking to his shadow. What he was saying was incomprehencable. He heard an all to familiar noise behind him. A mixture of sounds. The soft rustle of wind through a dead forest mixed with the silent whispers of a thousand dying mouthes. It sent a shiver through his body and made his spine ache. He turned without getting up and went to his knees," Nightmare that haunts my sleepless dreams. What brings you to me?" The dark massless thing just seemed to lume over the small form of Alex.

Rose opened her eyes to the darkness that had been her life since she was three. All seemed normal but as she looked around she saw her friends and loved ones laying about her. All were still... to still. She looked down to see blood on her hands... thier blood. She paniced and ran. through the entire town it was the same the people she knew all laying there. when she got to the Woods end she was crying unable to contain herself. "why...why?!" she said over and over to herself. out of nowhere she felt someone with her. as she turned around she fell to the ground. it was the master of the night...Nightmare. As he reached out to her.....
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Rose woke up with a scream from yet another nightmare. no dout the doings of her master Nightmare himself. that wasnt exactly the way it happened but it reminded her of the night(day) that she had come to be part of Nightmares army... how she had become a part of the night forever. she had been part of it for 12 years and she still woke up with screams at least once a week. She sat in her bed shaking from the sight of the people she once cared so much about dead. she had not really done that to then. she had relized the problem before that and ran away. everything after that was true though. she had met Nightmare right after she ran and he did take he into him army but the Nightmares frightened her very much, making her think tht she had done that to them. though she was against humans and part of an army that was, in her nightmares she still felt like the same 13 year old girl she was when she left, frightened and lonely not wanting to harm those in her life. Still shaking Rose sat up remembering her past.

Remembering all she had to go through and the pain she felt that night Rose picked up a book from her end table and through it across the room. hitting a vase and shattering it on impact. " why.. why do i keep having these dreams." looks up, " is this your dosing Nightmare? why are you doing this i'm already part of your army... i have been or 12 years what more do you want." Rose said quietly as she leaned back in her bed.

Gabriel turned suddenly to head back to the village. He was a quiet type. When he got into town the lights seemed to get brighter for everyone else. He was a hero among the towns folk. He single handedly stopped a herd of twisted boars from destroying the town. In doing so he provided a months worth of food for them. He didn't leave the battle unscathed though. The tusks were long and deadly. He survived the poison and blood loss but by just sheer will power. The towns folk looked up from there tasks and starred at him in awe. He walked into the tavern. He was offered food and drink but he politely refused, insisting he had business to take care of. He went upstairs and entered the room that was the temporary headquarters for his army. There wasn't anyone in there right now. So he took a seat at the table with the map of the continent. He looked over the positions of platoons. He had at least one in every town that didn't already have a defense. Two if the town was large enough and that was only one. The rest of the platoons were with him. He had 10 in total. Anywhere from 15-30 in each. The numbers were dwindling. Night fever was getting stronger and more common. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, trying to make plans for advancement against Nightmare.
Alex was walking down the halls of the twisted palace. He seemed to cuddle with his torch. He looked over the doors for the names of the residents and the number. He was looking for someone. When he found the door he looked at it several times before confirming it. He didn't want to make the mistake of getting the wrong door. Some in the Dark Army weren't too keen to being awoken. He knocked, at first softly and then again a little harder. This was the door to Rose Killson. He hoped. Otherwise he'd have to call somebody to protect him from being beaten. He may be second in command but most of these... things, didn't know the difference.

Miyu >>   --------------- Miyu's tiny body leaned up against the trunk of a giant oak. Her legs hung around the large branch that was a good twenty feet above the ground. Her eyes were closed but she did not sleep. She had been traveling all day and required a safe rest in the comfort of her friend the Oak. Her ears could pick up small conversations in every direction. With a slight tilt of her head, the red haired woman observed everything that happened below. She silently listened with no movement of her body.

Gabriel sighed and stood up. He heard a noise outside his window and he froze. Within seconds he was at the window, gunblades in hand. He looked out of it, expecting to see one of the dark creatures. All he saw was a bunch of young kids. He grumbled to himself. He was stressed out. The dark creatures almost seemed to have started to get smarter. He didn't like that. Made them harder to kill. He went back to the table with the map layout. He looked things over again. If he could just build up his army he'd be able to finally make his advance on Nightmare... But his numbers weren't growing...
Alex cleared his throat," Nightmare wants to speak with you miss..." He was quiet spoken. But he just didn't want to get hurt. Pain wasn't something he was fond of. He tightened his grip on his torch. Once again he cleared his throat," I think he has a mission for you..." He stood back from the door now. He didn't want to get in the way as she exited the room. Now he waited.

Miyu >> ---------------The moon sat upon its throne of darkness as the shadows loomed over the spiralled fingers of the trees. Miyu blinking brilliance within the dark skies. The wind whipped around the unnatural beacons within the opaque canvass and howled with any unwanted bouts of misery; screaming through the midnight.
She moved quickly, stealthily, gliding , hem of her cloak rippling in the wind like the ripples existent on the waters surface.
At the last tree she halted, crouching lowly on the edge as she held it with her hands. Dark brown eyes scanned the formations below before the figure pushed off from the edge, falling like a pin to land elegantly in a crouched position four feet below without any harm. The female stood up, her cloak dragging along the surface of the concrete, sweeping the leaves and dirt clean of it along with it.
Miyu was wondering if she would find someone who's still alive.

Rose stood looking at the man for a moment, "so it was Nightmare who woke me up." she said more to herself then to him. she tied her sword to her waist and slipped on her shoes. then she walked out the door a little angered than Nightmare had woken her up again. suddenly she turned to face the man who had come to get her, "okay so tell me. who are you for starters, i have never seem you around, and two what kind of mission dose he have planned?" she looked up at him, (she is shorter than him)

Alex shrugged," Everyone under Nightmare calls me Blind Eyes. I'm the second in command... " He gripped the torch again, like he was trying to occupy his hands. "I think its either collecting those that have changed or assassinating the Sun."
