The winter sun beamed down on the packlands, warming the top layer of snow and turning it to slush but doing nothing to the hard ground below it. Lithium lay sprawled at the entrance to her mother's den, the brightly colored family's scents familiar throughout it. She smiled as she yawned, a strange sound coming up her throat. Eyes as green as apples sparkled brilliantly with mischief, but mainly, Lithium was bored. She knew that the pack had recently had litters before her own. Bipolar had warned her of them. That it was two of the alphas' children who had granted them grandchildren. The strange seer, Idogbe, and his sister, Shezaam.
Bipolar warned her children of them, as if she was afraid the other pups might be a risk to her own. But then again, her mother sometimes acted afraid of -them-! Her own children she recoiled from! Lithi shook her head. It was strange, but it was life.
She just wished someone would relieve her of this boredom. Even her brother, LSD, and his little green butterfly would be a relief.

Pyöritä wasn't scared of anything. For now, just like the voice told her, she'd lay low. Of course, she was just a pup and she would just wait for the opportunities to take credit for the greatness. Maybe it was time to make friends. Friends... yes... meet pups. That's right, just like the voice said, if she had a friend... she could establish something maybe. At least she would have support as she grew.
Rita knew that her brothers and her sister-runt weren't the only pups to have been recently born. She had cousins and she heard of some others. She wasn't afraid of them. No fear. She could handle herself.
But for now, fun and play were in order. She could deal with plots later. Fun. Now she just needed to find a pup to make her friend and play with. Maybe one of the pups that were from others in the pack, not her cousins or siblings.
She wandered, sniffing various new scents. All of them were so new to her, but not for long.

The petite pup's nose jerked up as a scent both unfamiliar and familiar wafted through the hedges. Pink-tipped ears flicked forwards and then backwards as she hopped to her feet and followed the scent, muzzle in the air and her tail wagging a mile a minute.
Oh, it smelled like a new friend! Perhaps it was one of the other families coming for a visit! Lithium looked around. Her mother was out with Uncle Rend and LSD... Surely she wouldn't miss her...
Without a second thought, Lithium bounded towards the hedge, then wedged her body through it, landing with a huff on the other side. And there, across the snow, was a very handsome navy and maroon pup just -waiting- to be her friend! With a squeal, Lith loped towards her, her spirits so high that not even an act of aggression would knock her down a peg!

Fun come! Rita bounced back a bit, as this other pup burst out in front of her. Rita's thoughts swirled, focusing on the fact that the area the pup was in had just burst into bright colors from the white "snow" as her father called it to others... brighter than her own coat.
She wagged her tail. This would indeed be fun. So... eager. Maybe she should show this pup, some... fun.
As the pup bounded towards her, Rita burst up in the snow, throwing clouds and splashes of white up into the air. More! With her right paw, Rita threw the white soft water at the direction she knew the pup was in, from memory and from smell.

Lithium bounded into view, her tail wagging a mile a minute. Suddenly the other pup spun on her, sending a wave of snow splashing her way. The white powder covered Lithi's dark coat, littering it with purity, and Lith barked loudly, excitedly.
She moved a few steps closer, her entire body wiggling with excitement. "Hi! I'm Lithium! Who're you?" She just hoped she had enough time to play with this new pup before Mom or Rend came after her!

Very energetic. The voice was right. This new pup was very energetic. Hyper even. This would be quite interesting. The colorful pup was even more colorful now with the white splashes. Stark contrasts with the dark colors.
She stayed her ground, letting the other pup to approach. She nodded an acknowledgment and barked, "Hi! My parents named me Pyorita but you shall just call me Rita. My parents are Idogbe and Amaranth. My father's a seer."

Lithium bounded around Rita with large leaping bounces, more like a cat than an overactive puppy. Her white-tipped tail was wagging wildly and she dropped into a playbow as the other female began to speak.
Idogbe. That was one of the alpha's sons! The seer son! She tilted her head to one side. Did that mean that Rita could see things too? "Can you see things different than me?"

Rita didn't allow the other wolf's energy distract or confuse her. She needn't keep sense of where the wolf was all the time. Not really a threat. Just like the voice suggested.
"See things?" Rita thought out loud. She didn't see anything or knew things like her father. Her knowing was not like her father's knowing. "My sister sees things. But let's not talk about her."
Rita pondered, who exactly was this pup? All she knew was the other girl's name. Ask. Well, what about? Rita had to confess, for all her knowing she didn't know all too much of the pack except for her father and immediate family. After all, when you were great did you really need to know everything?
Rita twitched one of her ears and flicked her tail before making sure the other girl saw her speak. "Who do you belong to? Do you have any brothers and sisters?"
