Yes, a point system! Since this shop is free and I do not forsee myself putting any monetary value on the Curios, I thought starting a Point System would work just as well! It will replace the Gold Value with an activity value. The more you do around the shop, the more points you get and the more prizes you have access to!
Who does this apply to?
Guardians and Non-Guardians alike can accrue points! Of course the number of points will vary depending on which category you fall into.
Will these change at any time?
Probably. =) But I'll let you know when they change, or when things have been added. So no worries!
So, This can be a way to get a Curio outside of a Flatsale?
Yep.
Can I transfer my points to someone else?
Of course you can, they're your points, you can do what you want with them! I wouldn't suggest setting them on fire, though.
How do I use my points?
If you see something you like on the Prizes list, PM Switch Gear and let her know what you want from the list. It'll be first come, first served for some prizes. If you want to donate them to another user, PM Switch Gear and let her know how many points you want to give to whom. The recipient will be PM'd with the good news. =)
What if I am a Lurker, then I acquire a Curio?
Your points are transferred without a fuss (unless you got the Curio through your points)!
Can I donate to the Prize List?
Yes, you can! You can donate art or Gaia Items, but if you donate a Gaia Item you will get points based on that item's value at the time of donation. You cannot use your points to buy that item back, so be careful!
How many items can I donate?
One Person can only donate three items. All three of your donated items must be traded in by other users before you can donate again. When you are donating an item, it will be divided by 100 to determine how many points you will receive (Ex. The item is worth 2,334 through TekTek, so it will give you 23 points). The item will be divided by 10 to determine how much it will be worth in the prize box (Ex. The same item, 2,334, will cost 233 points in the prize box)
Can I buy Points?
No, you earn them.
Can I beg for points?
No! -Points to the door- >O
Can Switch or Enoh randomly give out points?
Yes. Thats all I'm gonna say to that!
But what if I want to pay you for a Curio instead?
Do you have two hundred thousand gold? I'll accept the gold in the event you do. =) But why spend the money when you can be active and get one for free?

This is a win-or-lose game you can play with your points! It costs no points to play, but you can only place once per person per day! You can either double your points, gain half of your points, lost half of your points, or lose all of your points altogether! Its a 50-50 chance; win or lose. You can get into the negative numbers, so be very careful as to what you do!
How it works
Once a day, you may reply to this thread and do a "Random Number" post action. It must be between 1 and 100! This is what your result will look like:
<01-10>: Woohoo! Your points are doubled!
<11-20>: Oops, You lose all your points!
<21-30>: Woohoo! Your points go up by half!
<31-40>: Oops, Your points are halved!
<41-50>: Woohoo! Your Points are doubled!
<51-60>: Oops, You lose all your points!
<61-70>: Woohoo! Your points go up by half!
<71-80>: Oops, Your points are halved!
<81-90>: Woohoo! Your points are doubled!
<91-100>: Oops, You lose all your points!
+ If you have a negative number and you lose your points, nothing happens.
+ There will be no balances of zero, ever. If you do manage to get a zero, it'll automatically go to +1.
+ If you have a negative number and your points are doubled, its doubled in your favor.
--> Example: Starting off at -100, you get a 3 from the random number generator so your points are doubled. 100 x 2 = 200, so your new balance is +100
