The purple pup ran after a blue Flyzard growling now and again. He had made friends with the odd thing of the forest but for some reason it kept running off. "Oh come on Kwee! I thought you were going to be nice and stay put!" It seemed like every other day he was running after his friend in an endless game of tag that he couldn't win. Watching Kwee fly to another tree he follows trying to keep it in view. "What if I just let you go and stopped following!" He stopped and peered up losing sight of Kwee for a moment. He almost could count the seconds before Kwee came back into view frowning and waiting.

Sitting and watching his friend he caught his breath. "It's no fair that you can fly!!! I want to be able to fly like you." He lifted his small useless wings. "I wish you could carry me. Then we would have so much fun!" He huffed and watched Kwee come down to the ground.

For a moment he hid his smile before jumping forwards and tagging Kwee. "Your it!" With that he took off laughing at the mad sound his winged friend made.

Zelpha was simply strolling through the forest, her movements slightly jerky due to her wandering mind. Normally, this would embarrass her, but she knew she was alone in this area. Suddenly, she heard a commotion from just beyond the next string of bushes. If she's been forced to guess, she'd have said that it was a couple of pups playing. Her curiosity pricked, she turned her ears in that direction and headed slowly towards it.

As she came upon the string of bushes, a sharp scent caught her nose. Zelpha wrinkled her face as the smell of mud, earth, and dried blood nearly hit her in the face. She raised an eyebrow, wondering what sort of lazy Dragonfly could allow themselves to get so filthy. She poked her head through the bushes just in time to see a pup of a purple color dash away after a blue Flyzard. Zelpha blinked and then saw the filthy brown pup, looking as though she'd just woken up.

The pup's reply made Sloth wrinkle her snout. A bath meant water, and she did NOT like the thought of that! If she didn't lick the excess water off before letting it air dry, she would be a walking fluff ball. "Too much effort for something so trivial, I'll just get dirty and have to do it all over again anyway," Sloth mumbled.

The Flyzards' quick movement towards the trunk of her perch, where the bushes grew, startled her and she lost her footing. "Ah! Waaa~!" The pup shouted as she fell from her 'nest'. Sloth's long unkempt claws on one of her paws caught on the bark of the branch and she hung there for a moment. The thick bark crackled under her weight and it surely wouldn't be able to hold her for long. She hung there helpless, whimpering, as gravity fought against her.

Wesley blinked for a moment then turned away. "But then you would have to have another bath. Who wants to go around stinking up the forest?" He watched his friend for a moment before jumping when the other pup yelled. Looking up he held back a laugh. "Oh! Oh hang on for a moment. I will go get some water for you to fall into!" He laughed not really meaning it.

He jumped a little when the adult came out from the bushes. Frowning he looked over at his blue friend who had jumping on to branch then above the dirty pup trying to offer some help.

Zelpha felt the small pup slide off of her back and she let her muscles relax. She knew her back would ache there in the morning, but she didn't mind. At the childs' words, Zelpha realized that the one she had helped was a little girl and the purple one was a little boy. She gave a nod at the lazy one, Sloth's, words and replied, "Ah. You're welcome. I'm Zelpha, by the way." She turned to the little boy and said softly, "I don't think you meant any harm, but you shouldn't tease people, y'know?" While Zelpha wasn't a big fan of the girl's stench, Zelpha could respect that choosing not to bathe was one's own choice to make and one shouldn't be teased about it. Then again, she'd always been a bit oversensitive about teasing. Maybe that was simply how normal pups interacted. She didn't know.

Sloth pouted a little but turned back to her new adult acquaintance. "Nice to meet you Zelpha. What brings you to this part of the forest; Just passing through?" Thy was purposely ignoring the boy, Wesley, but at that last comment she snapped. "FINE if your so sensitive that you can't stand my scent any longer, I'll go!" Thy jumped past the pup and through the bushes. Her tree wasn't too far away from a small pond. When she came to it she skidded to a halt. ~What am I doing? Why do I care what he thinks?~ She pondered for a while looking at her reflection in the water.

Wesley didn't think the other pup would act like that but had a hard time hiding a smile that appeared on his small face. Looking at the adult he half shook his head. "Maybe she got the hint and went to have a bath." Blinking as the adult started after the other pup he followed.

Seeing the other pup standing by the water's edge he couldn't help but move forward to try to push her in. She needed the bath and he just wanted to help out.

Zelpha arrived at the pond just as Thy hit the water. She watched the unfolding scene with wide, curious eyes. To her, it seemed as though Sloth was undergoing some sort of mental breakdown that was causing her to be upset. But, then again, maybe she was naturally like that - so fixated in her routine of not bathing that she got upset when she actually bathed. Zelpha supposed that most people were like that - very set in their methods.

She approached the edge of the pond and held out a paw. "Do you need any help?" she asked curiously.
