What is your greatest source(s) of inspiration? What do you think of when you create something?

Mine is, and will always be my love Eric. But, depending on my mood, it can be anything from anger (as seen in my anti-Christmas "F--- Christmas" graphic) to having William Shatner making me ill on T.V. with his used car salesman persona. To quotes from authors or people.

Watching Andrew Zimmern eat bugs, testicles, putrified shark, and god knows what else is one of the things that inspired me to start cooking more...

Damn travel channel.. next thing you know I'll be roasting my tarantulas.

I had started working on a story a while back.. and I've written like one chapter of it and my motivation died hard on it.. altho I keep brainstorming (or brianstorming?) on it and never putting anything down on paper. I have always been fascinated by mythology, folklore, and legends all my life so I was trying to write one from a different sort of perspective. we'll see how that goes.

Well, is it not weird if my source of inspiration happens to...come out of nowhere? o.0
it's like, when I'm sitting alone here and thinking about absolutely nothing, I'd start to catching up ideas, even when it's mostly random of course lol
or sometimes it just comes when I think about random idea such as an elephant that rides on a unicycle o.o but then the art would have a totally different context than that o.o

Nah, I don't think that's strange. Sometimes I just load a blank image, and start gloping colors everywhere. Several filters later and a program that does the math for me, I have a fractal.... Then I add things in the fractal if I don't think there are quite enough orbits or linear lines or whatever and tinker until it comes out the way I want.

Other times, I do the same and then see some ideas within the colors for an image or story, or whatever.

Veddy funny Mr. Brianstorm. Eric's laughing at me right now over that. And roast spider.... hmmmm.... I've eaten snake. I'd try it.

Have you tried eating a crocodile then? my dad says it tasted like chicken but it has softer structure then it, a bit like fish o.o
my dad consider it a delicacy though...I ought to try that sometimes in the future biggrin

I'd love to try gator, snake, spiders, scorpions and so on and so forth.. I always could sacrifice one of my many many many little critters for this cause but.....they're too pretty. Maybe I'll wait around till summer and catch a few A. Chalcodes which are all over the az desert in abundance, and come out in the summer. The only question would be.. how do you cook an arizona tarantula? would you have to use some sort of southwest chipotle?

As for gator, I've heard it is a lot like seafood, nice light meat. They make gator hot wings and that alone gets me going. I love spicy foods.

Breakin my heart dear..

One of my spiders died recently actually.. I hadn't noticed that mold had formed in part of the tank (keeping high humidity can lead to problems, especially when there are discarded cricket parts involved).

This one was an awesome species.. one of the most popular in the Tarantula trade, both respected and feared. It's common name is Indian Ornamental, latin name is Poecilotheria Regalis. It's one of the species that most people say do not handle.. well..

lol you like spiders that you want to eat it? =_='
*shivers*
I'm sorry I just can't stand spiders for some reasons..
I'd like a pet snake though, but my mom wouldn't allow me to keep one D=

I've got three snakes, and I would love to eat snake also..

I'm always looking for new and interesting things to try. I wouldn't eat one of my own pets, but here in the desert there are some places that cook up some rattlesnake or so I'm told. That would be interesting to try.

When I listen to a new song.
Strange thing about inspiration; it comes at the most spontaneous of times. Sometimes you expect it, sometimes you don't. Maybe you'll be anticipating it, or maybe you won't.
It can be little things that triggers off my artistic side, a smile from someone I never spoke to before, the brush of a shoulder in the halls, a heated argument outside of me, some sort of raw emotion - whether I'm looking in, or trying to look out...

Or even when someone says "thank you."
Little things. ^^

Hmm.. I'm envious of the quantity of things that inspire you.. takes a hell of a lot to get me going.

Well, as I had hoped to insinuate, all of my inspirational stimulus is merely subjective to... a multitude of things. sweatdrop
It doesn't always come easy. xd
But I can never sit myself down and make myself draw / write (well). I cannot force myself. And the lack of force thereof is usually... troublesome.
(Aaand, I don't believe that last sentence was correct...)

In addition, while stalking around, it's become clear to me that your pieces ( believe it was you...?) require a helluva lot more time and effort.
I do the shitty little anime doodle. ^^

lately I tend to draw scribbles and try to figure out what shape it looks like the most... and lately I found that in every scribbles I'd made... there is a shape of flying piggy somewhere >_>
or is it just my imagination... hmmmm..
