((-Nods- 3nodding ))
Karu rubbed his forehead slightly, his back starting to ache around where both of his shoulder blades had been. A scowl came across his face as a girl beside him continued to poke at him with a folded piece of paper. The girl had irritated him, and his fuse burst at that moment. Good thing it was lunch... "Stop poking me with the damn piece of paper, Emily! I don't want to go out with you, so stop asking! You don't know what I have to go through every day, so just stop and get away from me!" He pounded his fist on the table, his empty milk carton falling over. Grumbling to himself, he picked the carton up and stood from where he sat, wandering over towards the trash can and throwing his things away; stampeding out of the lunch room.
Kyo sighed softly and patted the now sobbing girl's shoulder. "It's awright...Karu just gets...Angry sometimes." A smile was still wide on the neko's face, his tail swaying towards his side. "Karu unleashes his anger on everyone, so don't worry 'bout it. 'Kay?" The girl nodded, then blushed as Kyo whiped one of her tears away. "'Kay. I'll be off, then!" Chuckling, Kyo scurried off after Karu. "Karu! Come back here! You can't leave me alone!"

Kay slowly paced the grassy area surrounding her. Her brow was furrowed from thinking so hard. Slowly, she lifted her head up in time to see Karu coming from lunch. Though such opposite personality, Kay liked Karu. She felt her pale face blush when she saw him. So hot.... She thought. Lazily, she leaned up against a nearby tree and fantasized her and Karu. They were walking down the beach together, holding hands, with a beach barely lit by sunset. She stared longingly into his eyes and sighed deeply. Such passion, such fire. Kay felt a surge of warmth flow through her as she leaned closer to Karu. Their noses touched, and then-
"Kay? KAY!" Her little sister shouted at her. "What are you doing? Daydreaming again?" "W-what? N-no!" Kay studdered as she opened her eyes quickly and stood up straight. "Oh, come on Kay, I can see right through that lie!" Marokou rolled her eyes and sighed. "Anyway, I wanted to tell you that there was just a big riot in the cafeteria. Had to do with some girl-I think her name was Emily- and Karu." Kay raised her eyebrows, "And? What else?" "Well, I'm just warning you now. All these girls are going after him. You better ask before he is taken." Makarou whispered crossly. Kay felt her face go red again."Yeah yeah, I'll do it when I feel like it. Stay out of my business, okay?"

Kyo chased after Karu, who now stood leaning against a large oak tree. "Karu...Why do you have to be such a meanie-head?" "I'm not a meanie-head, Kyo...That girl annoys me. Everyday. None of these girls understand what we had to go through. Beatings, trying to control our elements at these times..." He let off a slight sigh, his bangs slightly falling over his gentle, maroon eyes. "Kyo..." He blinked, nodding his head some as he leaned against the tree next to Karu. "Yes?" He sighed, gently brushing a few locks of hair from his eyes. He leaned forwards towards Kyo, and at this, from a distance, a few 'stalker' girls heaved out fluttery sighs. "It's always the hot ones who ar-" They were interrupted by the principal who walked by, glaring down at them. A few gave nervous laughs and scurried off somewhere else. Karu whispered softly to Kyo a few things, and the neko nodded, grinning to himself.

Makarou stared at her for a minute, and then walked off. I hate having my little sister at my school! Kay thought. Makarou was a very intelligent kid. She skipped a few grades and ended up as a freshman at the age of 13. Her IQ was 132 at the age of 10, and many scientists wanted to test her. She denied this, even though it would mean making so much money. She wanted to keep her and her sister's secret safe, so money was never appealing. Every once in a while, though, she would enter some kind of contest (spelling bee, science fair, etc.) She won almost every one. That was the only way they could make their money, for many of their contests involed thousands of dollars. Though traveling was always an issue, considering Kay was driving. But some how, they made it to every convention.
Kay rolled her eyes at the thought of this, and then turned her head. There- she saw him again. Karu, and his friend Kyo, by a big oak tree, talking. She sighed deeply and sat down, thinking again of her and Karu- a couple. If only she had the courage to ask him out. But- as crazy as it sounds- she was just too shy. It befuddled her; She was always good at asking anyone out- considering how outgoing she was. But Karu, he was different.

Kyo turned around, his optics slightly flashing as he seemed to have been searching for something. Once he'd caught sight of the girl, his long, grey tail flicked towards his side. "Mrawr..." He chuckled once again, nodding to Karu and walking slowly over towards his target. In a moment, he'd been infront of Kay, looking down at her. "Well, hiya!" Kneeling down onto his knees, he blinked, waving a hand infront of her face. "Hmm..." Letting off a soft sigh, Karu stood from leaning against the tree, wincing slightly at the pain starting to grow in his back once again. Seeing a mob of girls heading for him, a scowl came clear across his face, and he immediatly stepped behind the tree, rushing over towards where Kyo had been. A sudden thought popped into his head, and he almost immediatly looked down to Kay. Waving his hand a little to Kyo, who nodded in response, he kneeled down; now eye-level with the girl. "Hey...This might sound a bit strange, but I need you to come with me. Stay by me so I don't get mobbed by millions of girls. And after the day ends, I'll give you what you wish. Deal?" His voice seemed calm and relaxed as he said this, a few of his bangs hiding one of his maroon eyes. He smiled softly, taking her hand in his own gently.

Kay felt herself go scarlet when he looked at her. What does he mean "What I wish?" Teh heck? Oh well. Suddenly feeling a burst of excitement at the thought of being with Karu for the day, Kay took his hands and stood up. "Ok, deal, I guess." Her heart beated quickly from standing next to him. Maybe this was her chance, maybe now she could ask him. Or could she?
Makarou was silently watching this from afar. She smiled at bit, knowing her sister had always wanted to be with Karu. Good Luck She thought. And at that moment, as if Kay heard it, she turned towards her sister and winked.

Smiling a little to himself, he felt the pain in his back slowly stop aching. That's a bit strange...All of a sudden standing next to her...No...She couldn't... He chuckled softly to himself, a soft side of him he hadn't shown all that much coming into place. Letting one of his arms slowly slip into place along her shoulders, this causing himself to grow closer, he smiled yet again. "Let's get out of here, then."
Kyo smiled, feeling something between the two. Their auras seem formiliar, but Karu's seems darker...As if he's disturbed by something, or depressed. Or even hiding something...It wasn't like that before...I wonder if that girl had anything to do with the aura.. Shrugging some, he turned back around and scratched at one of his ears, his tail slightly swaying back and forth. "I saw another girl over here...She was cute! I wonder where she went off to.."

Kay felt a sense of power when Karu touched her. Something dark, yet warm. She had only felt this once before It couldn't be...could it? She thought to herself. Meanwhile, she smiled back at him and walked with him. Girls all around them gasped, while some gave glares. Others cried, and many fainted. Such envy could be felt from the whole school. Kay looked up to Karu and smiled deeply in his eyes. She had never dreamed of such a moment. Being able to stand by him was one thing, but pretending she was his girlfriend was another. Perhaps it wouldn't be pretending soon....Perhaps it would be real. Makarou turned her head towards the Kyo. He's cute. I wonder... Her eyes suddenly flashed purple. Suddenly, she felt a strong power push her back, making her fall down. It was as if she tried to enter something, but a barrier knocked her back. Why couldn't I read their minds? Hmmm...they must have a really dark secret for me not too see. This doesn't sound good... Just then, the bell had rung. Makarou stood back up and ran towards Kay. I don't think we can trust these guys... She thought

Karu perked his head up as he heard the bell ring across the campus, a small frown now on his face. "Crap...Listen. I gotta get to my next class, alright? I'll meet you after class, but for now, I gotta get going." Nodding his head slowly, he caught the gaze of several girls looking to him in the corner of his eye. A slight smile came to his milky skin as he leaned down some, hugging Kay tightly against his somewhat warm body. Karu leaned his head down some towards her ear, whispering softly, "I have a secret I need to tell you." Retreating his head back some, he kissed her forehead gently and let his arms return back to his sides. Turning around quickly, he rushed off towards the doors to the school. Once reaching where students had been piling in, he turned back around, flashed Kay a smile, and disappeared into the crowd.
Feeling a strange aura lingering about, Kyo turned his head some towards his left, noticing Makarou. There she is! Where'd she come from, though? Blinking, he shrugged to himself and saw Karu blending into the crowd. "He left me again...You're rude, Karu! I swear!" Running after him, he grumbled to himself, waiting for a few more people to cram in through the doors before he could get in.

Kay stood there, leaving her mouth open, almost drooling at the fact of what just happened. Makarou eventually caught up with her. "Kay. KAY!" Makarou slapped Kays face. Kay shook her head and looked down at her. "What do you want?" she asked in a dreamy sort of way. Makarou then told her about how she had tried to read his mind, but could not get through. "Yeah, so?" Kay stated blankly "So? He might be...EVIL or something. I have never been blocked out from some one's mind, except once. But..." "Seriously? You think Karu may have powers?" "Not just Karu, but Kyo also." "Are you sure you have an IQ of 132 now? I think they need to check it." "Kay, the only time I couldn't read your mind was when you had that horrible secret? Remember? Even I couldn't figure out what it was..." "Don't you think maybe it was just a coincidence?" "No..." "Ok...well, you think that through, while I have to get to class." Kay hurried off towards Science for her next class. On the way there, she suddenly stopped. Wait, Karu said he needed to tell me a secret. Is it possible? She thought for a minute, and then ran towards the Science room. All through class, Kay could not concentrate. She kept dozing off, and the teacher would always call on her. Of course, she never had the correct answer. I hardly know Karu, so why would he tell me a deep dark secret like that? It can't be! I-It must be something silly. Like ....Like... The thought steered around her head.

(( Holy crap tarts! O_____________O; It's HUUUUGE! I'm sorry. ;_; ))
With his elbow propped up onto his desk and his head in the palm of his hand, Karu gazed up towards the chalk board. What seemed as millions of scribbles decorated the pitch black board; a newly ordered chalk board. His eyes looked cloudy, and with no emotion, a few of his bangs hiding his right eye again. The teacher called on him, after pointing out a few things from the board. "Kar-" "The answer is 47," he stated simply. Mrs. Minna blinked, befuddled at the sudden answer. Looking down at the math book laying before her on her desk, she nodded once; yet slowly. "Y-yes. Very good, Karu..." Blinking once again as she stuttered, she looked over towards the darkened figure and smiled. Karu never...Answers things in class. Has he always been this smart? Maybe he just makes simple mistakes that he knows of on tests and homework so he can fit in...? A few students in the class turned their gaze to the boy, staring slightly. One of them even whispered something to another, which Karu could hear easily because they sat just behind him. "He got the answer even before the teacher could ask him anything...And he just sat there!" Some girls sighed happily, drooling over him. "Smart and beautiful... But why'd he have to go and pick Kay for a girlfriend?" "Like, Yah... He could've picked us! We're, like, much more pretty than her!" Karu turned his head around slowly, his maroon optics fixing their gaze on the girls who were talking about Kay. His emotionless frown turned into a scowl, and the girls jumped at this, feeling static run through the metal of their desks and shock them. They screeched as they felt small burning sensations throughout their body, and they whined to the teacher because of this. With an abrupt cough, Karu turned his head around quickly and covered his mouth. His eyes widened as he caught the sight of blood now running along his fingers, along with a few splatters of it on his desk. The teacher looked to him, eyes wide, and immediatly rushed to his side, helping him up from his desk and leading him to the door. As both Mrs. Minna and the boy left the classroom, girls were sobbing. "Our dear Karu...What's wrong with him?! His precious blood has spilled amongst th-" Boys grumbled at this, about ready to burst from hearing a majority of girls saying this. "Shut up! He's just a kid who goes to school here!" Quickly, the class was engulfed in anarchy, shouts and screams spreading about the room. After a couple minutes, a few more blood-filled coughs inbetween, they finally reached the nurse's office. The teacher helped him over towards a bed, sitting him down. "You're going home, young man." The nurse nodded at her final decision. "N-no!" He coughed once again, his eyes widening some. "I said I'd tell her, and I can't leave...She's the only one who will understand. I know it..." The nurse looked at him like he was going crazy or something, then shrugged, blew a bubble with her gum and got up; ambling over towards the file cabinent. "What's her name, hun?" I didn't get her name... Thinking for a moment, he remembered he had two classes with her throughout the day; both in the morning. Squinting his eyes and looking down to the bloody mess that lay in his hands, he felt a slight warmness to his heart. "Kay! Her name is Kay!" "Mmkay. I'll get her the message, then. Now, you lay down, hun. I'll be with-" Her sentence was interrupted as she watched huge clusters of ice crushing the plastic that filtered some of the light from the cieling, the room growing dark after the the lights sparked from the force of the ice growing sharp and breaking the light bulbs. After a moment, the principal came into the nurse's office, panting a bit at his running. "The lights are all out now. They all surged brightly and then sparked out of control after large pieces of ice suddenly burst throughout the place!" Seeing the boy, who had his head lowered and his blood stained hands at his side, he blinked. Karu was now drenched in sweat, a couple pieces of ice now starting to spike out from underneath his long-sleeve shirt. No one had been watching, of course, which was a good thing. He now stood from the bed, his face hidden from a shadow now cast upon it. He walked out of the room, slowly finding his way down the hall; with his head still lowered. Kay...I'm sorry I couldn't...stick around...These people here don't know what it's like to be in distress from having elements. This pain...It went away when you were near... Coughing again, blood starting to slowly run down one corner of his mouth, he pushed his hands outward some; even more clusters of ice breaking through things, even the lockers. I never got to tell you...I always had..A crush on you...Ever since we exchanged glances that first day of school...But now I can't tell you...I have to get out of here. I've caused too much trouble already. The ice everywhere? That was my fault...The darkness...That was my fault.
Kyo squeaked slightly as ice grew uncontrollably in the classroom; causing the lights to spark out. His ears perked up at this, and he watched as the teacher and kids filed out of the room in panic. Karu! Oh, no...This has happened only once before, and he disappeared for awhile afterwards. He grew waaaaay to powerful for me to even fight against. Sure, I could dodge all of his attacks when he grew a bit possessed and even more powerful, but...I rather not think of that... Getting up, he followed after the class, tugging on one of his ears as he looked around for his 'brother.'
Karu had known that the school would panic and flee from the now ice infested school. He hid somewhere where he thought no one would find him. Then again, at this time, no one except Kyo would look for him; and maybe some of his most devoted stalkers. "I need to feel that warmth again..." Looking to his hands, he watched as ice curved around his index finger on his left hand, making a spiral now. "I'll become that same possessed demon as I was that one day..But I've found my cure...Kay.." Lowering his head some, he clenched his hands into fists; the ice shattering from his hands and melting a bit. "I need you here with me.."

(I dont mind xD)
Kay was shocked at all the chaos from the school. Everyone was screamin and rushing to get out of the classroom. People were shivering from the cold. Kay, on the other hand, was still able to keep warm. Though, she never really had trouble with that. What she needed to focus on was finding Makarou. She was able to easily pass the staff without them noticing. Though finding her little sister was the tough part. The school was so large, even if you had a map you would get lost. Plus, there were all these screaming students rampaging everywhere. It seemed almost impossible, until she spotted a girl, leaning against the wall, blood dripping down her arm. "Makarou!" Kay shouted as she ran towards her sister. Her sister looked up at her and smiled. "Hey sis..." "What in the world happened to your arm?!?!" Kay shouted "Oh, it's nothing terrible. Just got pushed here, kicked there. Thats all. But you have to listen." She then lowered her voice so that Kay had to come closer to hear. "This isn't some freak accident mother nature caused. That guy, Karu, I think it was him." Kay stared at her. "I-I, uh." Suddenly she felt an ice cold feeling inside her. It was as if some one had put her in a freezer. "I gotta go." she said quickly as she ran towards the nurses office. Makarou shouted after her, but Kay didn't listen. She didn't have time. Something inside her told her that she needed to run to the nurses office. Without even thinking, Kay turned the corner in the hall and kicked the nurse's office door open. There she saw a terrified nurse, and Karu sitting on the bed. "Karu? What are you do-" She had looked down and saw ice shavings covered in blood all over the floor. She took a step back and stared at Karu. "N-no, w-way.." she studdered, looking stunned. "Makarou was right. Y-you.." she stopped and suddenly looked at the nurse. "Ma'am? Can I please have a word with him? Alone?" The nurse didn't seem to care, as long as it meant getting out of the office. She nodded silently and then bursted out of the door. "Karu...I-" Kay seemed lost for words. It was much more of a shock than she expected. "I-I'm sorry." she stammered lowering her head. "I thought I sensed something, but I couldn't find it to be true. I mean, a cute guy, the one I had a crush on? No way. But I guessed that means we have a lot more in common than I thought." She flung her arms around him. While hugging him, a few warm tears fell onto Karu's cold body. She suddenly felt safe. She understood.

His maroon eyes widened slightly as he felt the heat from her body spread throughout his cold flesh. He sat completely still for a moment, his skin gaining it's milky complexion back. As he felt the few, warm tears dripping down onto his freezing cold hands, he slowly slid his arms around her. His pain had vanished again as his grip had become tighter around Kay, pulling the girl closer to his still cold body. A gentle expression then came to his face as he held her close; seeming to never want to let go. A slight, burning sensation interrupted his thoughts, and at this, he peered down at her through gentle eyes. "I've fallen...I've fallen in love. That's my secret, Kay..." Leaning his head down some, his cheek against hers, he felt a slight stinging pain in his shoulder blades again. If anyone is to see these wings, I want it to be her... As he moved back some, his right hand grasped her chin gently, a small, warm smile on his face. Leaning his head down to hers yet again, he pressed his lips softly to her own, his eyes closing without much effort. After a moment, large, pearly white wings sprouted from the boy's back; a few feathers slowly floating down towards the ground. Karu was an angel...And now only himself and Kay knew it. After a moment, he pulled away slowly, hugging her tight against himself a gain. "Kay...Do you find any of this truly strange?" His head now rested against her shoulder as he spoke, his hair seeming a bit longer; a bit past his shoulder, yet still the same color. A slight swirl of a golden color mixed in with the maroon, causing an autumn effect.

Kay smiled at him and looked into his eyes, while hers were filled with fire. "The world is strange, Karu. We are but a mere drop of water in the unknown sea. Everything corner we turn is a new surprise." At this, she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck and kissed him passionately. She felt such a heat within her that a gust of wind blew the door wide open, causing her hair to flail with it. Kay never wanted this moment to end. It was what she had imagined every day. It was what she would dream about every night. It was what she had always thought about, and now it was true. But suddenly, Kay realized that it was not her wind element that had caused the door to burst open. It was the force from a helicopter that had landed just outside. The police were here. No, even worse, the National Gaurd. A huge silent emergency alarm had been set off when the ice was breaking everything. The heat in Kay's body had suddenly flew away with the wind, and a horrible sinking feeling was left in her stomach. "Karu, we need to get out of here." she said.
