"I believe in nothing; everything is sacred..." So. I know there has been a topic similar before. But Anyway. I have been asked by my band director to re-organize our storage closets. They used to be practice rooms. One has the old pit stuff we just replaced this year, so there wasnt much I had to do there. The other however, was a train wreck. Old flags, old uniforms, old shoes, OLDOLDOLD like 30 year old instruments, random Band Booster stuff, etc. There's some sweet stuff we found, like old photos from '99, '98, and '90. What band memrobilia and/or other stuff is usually in your band room/closets/storage?

Nothing exciting. But our drum majors go in there 2 get stuff for our show and just chill there. They joke like they're ******** in there or something. It's pretty funny cuz you can only see them throo the little window on the door

The band practice rooms are used at my high school that I went to, but they still had so many old instruments as well as unused things that we could really be putting to good use, and we are not. When we did use them, I felt sort of bad that no one used them to their full potential. But the thing that is funny to me is that once I entered into college, everyone loves to use the practice rooms. sweatdrop Ah well, you know?

In the back of our cupboard theres a large teddy bear in a compromising position with a cymbal stand. I think that says it all really. Our teacher has not yet managed to find a way through to move it.

We have a storage closet dubbed "The Magical H-Room" (I don't know why it's "H"). The monday after a competition for either Marching Band or Winter Percussion snacks appear magically and we all grab them. There's also tons of trophies from like 20-30 years ago (back when we were the Marching 100). Random coats and one time some people found a knife. There's tons of cool hidden treasures in there ready to be discovered!

We've got a brass storage closet, a drum closet (that only the percussionists dare to go in), a practice room that nobody uses, and a little closet where the sound system, Guitar Hero, and all the sheet music is, that connects to the chorus room. We always seem to have lockdown drills during Period 3 band, and we cram into the different storage closets. Is the biggest pain in the butt ever, especially when you're stuck in a pitch black room with the flutes who can't shut up for a few seconds. I swear, if it was a real lockdown, we'd all be shot.

All we keep in our closet is the percussion stuff so it's out of the way, that's it.

whoa well for us, our band room is right next to the stage. so on the stage there's a full closet, and 3 other closets that the band owns on the stage the full closet is full of percussion marching stuff and marching uniforms i didnt even know existed. the closet next to that one leads to a bunch of stairs and if you go up the stairs til you reach another floor you see all of the symphonic band uniforms in there, which are the dresses and tuxes. god its a pain. a bunch of friends of mine found baskets, old color guard uniforms, jackets, scarfs, blankets, flowers. jesus it was horrible. after probably literally less than half a century's worth of stuff up there. the other two closets, which we call "cages" are called that because they're literally cages. in one cage, we gave it to the fitness people, so all the weights are in there now. the other cage contains wire stands, xmas decorations for our xmas concerts, and any other extra percussion stuff not needed. our other closet contains a stereo with old band buttons and tools and god know swhat else is in there because i think food used to be stored in there.

Our band room doesn't really have a "storage closet" as all the practice rooms are still used by the band and choir.
Instead, everything is stored in the empty lockers in the classroom. You have to be really careful when you open one, because you're never sure what'll fall out.
I opened one and was attacked by one of our BD's life-sized Simpson cardboard cutouts.

one time we decided to see how many people would fit in the practice room, and we almost got everyone in except for a few people who didn't do it.

We call our closet, "The Closet of DOOM/DEATH" because the only thing in the i think are instruments, pounds of dust, and cockroaches. but that's a guess. We've never realy dug deep enough to find out.
