As for news on animal attacks, I have never have any news that's published or online, but....
Someone was attacked by a cow that wandered in their house today.
In my town, of course.
The whole "cow wandered into the house" thing isn't new or weird here, but the attack sure was! It bit him. xDDD
The man's fine though. He didn't even bleed. =w=;

This isn't about animals, but on the subject of "weird things that happen in Russia", did you hear about the guy who had a tree growing in his lung in Russia?

I've heard of mountain lions killing people not too far from where I live. It's super rare though.
When I was in elementary school a cow randomly infiltrated the campus. That one was funny. XD
