I'm a first chair in my section and one of the second chairs, a girl named Amy, is starting to annoy me. It's not that she doesn't pull her weight or play well enough, she's just constantly playing. Throughout the entire class, she always has some part of the music going on. I'm glad she knows her parts, it's just really effing annoying.
Discuss: Second chairs People in your section who are annoying for no real reason.

I didn't really like a girl in my section. But she ended up switching to horn so I wouldn't have to. Now I guess she's okay. xD
But...I really don't like the clarinets. One of them thinks she's all that since she's a section leader and a drum major, but no one other than some freshman girls really likes her. Then the other's just crazy and really creeps me out. =/
But I like my band overall. =]

I'm third chair... But the second chair is ANNOYING. Specially when the first chair is there, Dx
The first chair[Ryan] is SO annoying on Monday's. Either he sings "76 Trombones" in a four year old voice or plays the Horn part for An American Hymntune. Me and Scott always have to tell him "WE WON'T GET THAT PART!" Does he listen? NO.
Or he plays VERY loudly, when were not playing.
Brian is the first chair on Thursdays. He's annoying. He talks to Ryan ALL THE TIME. He also pole danced with his trombone. o_o But I ignore them. I try.
Then we have the sax section. *Headdesk* Kyle: Acts stupid. Griffen: ANNOYING. If we are doing Concert Bb, he'll do Bb, but Trill like. Marcus: Annoying, and he's REALLY perverted for a 7th grader. George: All the things Marcus is. Marcus and George are BAND MANAGERS. D:
FLUTE SECTION: I love my old section. I love it to death... But NOW. All they do is TALK! I swear, it was ALOT better when I was in the flute section. And I'm ALOT better at Flute then them. A lot better.
Trumpet section: They talk alot, and Jake gets into stupid small fights with Scott.
Jazz band: Trumpet section: Need I say more? Johannes makes cow noises with his trumpet.Miller is annoying. Theres four trumpets and 2 of them are ACTUALLY good.

My second bass clarinet was bad...his tone was off, he was always out of tune, his playing was airy T.T it was so bad. That and he would pick fights with me because I would get on him so he would quit screwing around and play his damn part. AND he would eat like a fruit roll-up right before rehearsal started. Every day....I got the clarinet he had the previous year, and I spent an hour cleaning that thing, and it still wasn't clean enough. >ugh< it was bad.

I get along pretty well with just about everyone in the band, there's a few people I don't like much and one or two I REALLY don't like, but otherwise it's not bad. And my section this year is all amazing!

my whole section except te section leader and the other 1rst flute bothers me because they can't tune, they have no technique, an airy sound, and they don't pay attention. like when we walk in we're supposed to tune to a concert f with the pad bass right away, and all they do is talk. then when you yell at them for talking they either laugh, get pissy with you, or totally ignore you and keep talking. [my bd does nothing about it by the way] its so effing annoying because next year im section leader and i have to deal with them. honestly do we really need 7 flutes if 4 of them don't do s**t?

OMG so I'm 1st chair clarinet in my band and I'm pretty level headed and the 2nd chair and 4th chair are annoying.
2nd chair: Lindsay (Sophmore)- So yea she's so used to playing the low part and being last or next to last chair so that she's next to her BFF marissa but marissa is last (5th chair) and now lindsay play's first with me and she just doesn't play when we have 8th notes or 16th notes. And she's always talking to Marissa and won't stop and she keeps getting the clarinets in trouble even though we try to keep them quiet
4th Chair: Brian (Junior)- So ok I've know brian since 7th grade we started together and we've been in the same band since 7th grade. Well when we reached high school brian became high range happy. He's always stealing (Literally) the first clarinet part and memorizing it. And of course he's ALWAYS played 3rd clarinet. Well we play in class and he's fine but THEN we got to concerts and he played first. we all know it's him but we could never prove it. I however was always the person trying to get him to stop. So this year now that I'm playing first he's getting pissy at me because I won't let him near the 1st clarinet music so this year we might actually sound balanced XD but he doesn't like me now a days
it's so annoying.
other sections I can't stand:
Flutes.......Need I say more. I'm justified though because the whole band agrees with me when I say the flute section (atleast in my band) is nothing but PMS taking on human form. It's horrible. I ended up being the only clarinet who has a locker in the flute area and they always yell at me and throw hissy fits whenever I try to get to my locker. I've actually been late to class before because of them. Thankfully my BD are nice and one day they noticed me trying to get to my locker and I got yelled at so he made all the flutes stand aside so I could grab my case. Granted this was after I had been late 3 times and had complained to the BD XD

BUt as bad as my second chair is, the trumpets are even worse. They talk all the time and are like ADD. Today during band they started playing the wrong song and didn't realize until measure 35!

Well, last year...
Bad memories. See, I had been first chair for a good two and three-quarters years. In high school. I got nomintated as 'Most Musically Talented' and I got the John Philip Sousa award, which is pretty much the same thing, only more prestigious. I knew I definitely wasn't the best out there, but I was really happy with my position. I was pretty good friends with the second chair, too.
And then, about a month before school was going to end, the director held another chair test. And the second chair beat me. She beat me. It totally ruined my confidence. I still freak out duing auditions now.
Anyways, that was my senior year, the year I really wanted to go out with a bang. Or something like that. And I couldn't. First chair always plays the piccolo. And second chair gets the solos. But when we were switched, we had already learned the music as me on teh piccolo, and her with solos. Including a solo I have dying to play ever since my freshman year. I was crushed. It had been so important to me..
After that, I didn't feel like I deserved all teh awards they gave me, because I obviously wasn't teh most musically talented.
And she got really mean and cocky after she beat me too.

First Chair trombone section.
Second Chair's cool, and the thrid chair isn't that bad. Once we hit fourth chair, though....
Luke is a dillhole. He doesn't know when to shut his mouth, and he sucks D: He NEVER practices, and constantly kvetches about this and that and the other (mainly me). He hates me, but I don't really give a crap (and that, somehow, makes him angry).
Luke's a p***y, too. When you make fun of his dad or call him Butt-Chin, he starts crying. Lol. Then he threatens you, and if you say "Bring it", he backs off.
Our Fifth and Sixth chairs are OK. Not really anything special, but not annoying.
Sections to coimplain about?
Trumpets. Just, y'know, the usual mindless crap and idiocy. ESPECIALLY the third (or maybe fourth...?) chair. He constantly interrupts class with retarded comments.
