My band's fundraiser this year is selling/renewing magazines. They have thousands of top names at the lowest prices out there eek Plus, 40% of the money (from each magazine) will go to our band. If you want to buy magazines or renew the ones that you already have, please pm me or post here your e-mail so I may send you a referral.
What fundraiser is your band doing this year?

We do a car wash every year. It's pretty fun. We have Four washing stations and two drying stations. THen we have two shifts. It s "free" car wash, so we take pledges on how many cars we can wash.
We exceed 500 every year.

Yea, my band also does candy bar sales. I personally think that would be easier to sell than magazines. I don't know why they say magazines are easy to sell.

I hate band fundraisers. =_=
Last year we did candles, Wawa hoagie certificates, and pies (which were really popular) to fund raise for our Band Festival/trip to Six Flags Great Adventure. This year we're fundraising for the same thing, and so far we've sold candles, dessert, and magazines, and we're gonna do the Wawa hoagies again and cheesecakes and maybe a few others.
In the long run, it's cheaper for me to just pay the $80 up front instead of putting a ton of money into my own fundraiser and only have a 20% of it actually go to my trip payment.

This year we did band day, where we suit up then go door to door asking for donations. Got in a couple thousand dollars that way. But only 40 of us showed up so we got a good amount through it.
And every year we do Swingin' With Spaghetti which is where we get a big band to come in, then we serve spaghetti to the people that show up. Got almost 10,000 from it. The best part's that I'm in jazz band so I get to play for my shifts instead of wait and bus tables. xD

Most of the time, we sell cookie dough and nuts and Christmas decorations and the like around the holidays, and we work concessions at the local baseball field.....
We did a really awesome fundraiser last year, though.... It was called "Flamingo Flocking".... Mostly the band parents organized it..... razz People would pay a certain amount of money and give the band parents the address of someone they knew, and the parents would go stick a bunch of those plastic flamingos in their yard (or rather, "flock" them). It was actually quite amusing, there were so many people in the neighborhood with flamingos all over their yards. blaugh

We sell Titan Cards (plastic reusable coupon cards for popular resturants and stores), have Tag Day (go door-to-door asking for money and most people tend to just like...throw cash at us it's awesome), and Chick-Fil-A night at the local restaurant. They sponsor us with so much stuff it's surprising they've done it for...six years? Since we opened XD
We also do Flamingo Flocking but not many people do it. I hear once they got our band director's house in the next city over. That must have been a long drive o_o

Is that, like, just a thing with bands? I didn't expect that to be a common thing.... Haha sweatdrop Yeah, really... I think we charged extra for flocking anyone out of town? Otherwise me and my friends would have had a certain instructor flocked..... >.> lol

We just got done selling chocolate bars and the magazines this last week. In about a month we start selling croissants *they sell like dynamite* and two weeks ago we sold entertainment books.
We do a lot when it comes to fund raising.

We just finished selling Cheesecakes, Cookie doughs, and all the other baked goods.
Even though that's the only fundraiser that we do in a year, we sell a lot.
