While stocking up on useful starter gear at Back Alley Bargains, yesterday, I noticed that Nicolae, like the Aquarium Girl, has a "Learn Nicolae's Story" underneath him. Excited, I clicked on the link and was taken not to some new comic, but an old one from '05. In fact, the origins of Nicolae... is the Sniper Comic.

isnt it a bit strange the Nicu had ring polisher's and superchargers to sell right when the animated appeared?
[well....the animated havent appeared in the plot yet, but it's STILL SUSPICIOUS!]
here's what i think happened:
Nicu, being the greedy little devil that he is, knows that gaians go crazy when there world is about to end. So he decides to create a crisis, and sell the only things that could stop them. he knows it will look too suspicous if he sells the rings in his shop, so he sells them to Gambino, after creating the animated. then he sells the ring polishers and chargers. having "great riches in his future" like ms. fortune predicted.

>> Nope. I already posted the deal in another thread, but I'd rather not post it around too much if people don't want to get spoiled. So, just know, Nicolae has nothing to do with the animated being created. At least, what I know of.

Nicolae probably lifted the polishers and chargers from a G-Corp shipment. He is a thief, after all.
Besides, I doubt Nicolae would go to this extent for a quick buck, too much work on his behalf, and the GPD would be able to catch him much more easily if he did something like creating the animated. In any case, the sniper bit's probably a glitch.

More than likely a glitch, but to be on the safe side perhaps we shouldn't rule that out yet. You just never know.

Edit: I just realized I've been spelling Zhivago wrong for at least three months. sweatdrop

Camron Flamheart Wasn't Zhavigo the sniper, anyways? To spook, and then eventually kill Ian? Unless they've just decided to forget that MMVII ever happened. And I wouldn't blame them. >_> "We're being followed. By Zhivago. The sniper."

I'm surprised everyone [except TIM] seems to have forgotten that Zhivago is the sniper. They made it pretty blunt in those god awful videos. We even discussed how horribly sudden they made it.
Nicu is awesome, but I'm on the other side of the spectrum. If he shot Gambino, I'd be one torn up centaur. ;_;

Maybe Nicu's story begins with the fall of Gambino? After all, he was living in Durem when we first met him in "Heir of Darkness". Maybe he was orphaned when the tower fell on his parents?
After all Zhivago was the sniper in that case. Von Helson mentioned that he couldn't even manage to finish off Gambino.
... what if Zhivago's his FATHER?! eek

I didn't forget, I just don't like to mention the horrible mess they made by using a video to tell what should'a been in a manga. If you ask me, they should just re-make the video into a manga so people will know what the hell went on.
