Right, so news on the games. First "Mario Basket 3 on 3". Yes, that is a Mario Basketball. The top screen shows the on-the-court action in 3D with the bottom screen giving a 2D overhead map-style view. Surprise developers are infact Square Enix.

"Square Enix president Yoichi Wada, in attendance at Nintendo's DS press conference in Japan today, officially unveiled the title. According to Wada, Square Enix approached Nintendo with the idea after realizing that basketball would be the perfect game with which to exploit the DS stylus."

Ash, Puzzeloop and Wish Room has no details.

Yes, you did read that right, a TINGLE RPG.

Custom Robo Ds is a carry on to the Custom Robo series and that is a new Wario game for the Ds. It is in 2-D with a map for the top screen.

With the last 5...Detect Hacker is a new Adventure game from Red Entertainment. New Super Mario Bros. appears to have no name change (still can happen tho). Oideyo Doubutsu no Mori is is the Japanese name for Animal Crossing: Wild World (It means "Come to Animal Forest"). The last two are the newest entrys to the Ds Brain Training series. The first is just more training for the brain where the second being for teaching English.

Look at the 3 WiFi games. One is a fighter, and the other two are rpg's. Contact is made by the same makers of Killer7...so it might end up confusing xp

Eh?...
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, I haven't seen a fighting game for the DS o.O; Unless your talking about Jump Superstars.

And I'm not sure what RPGs your talkin' about.

So the answer to your original question. Yes, there are Rpg's using the Nintendo WiFi connection.

Okay, one last question.

Why is there a 4 player limit on Animal Crossings DS and Mario Kart DS? (Not sure about the Tony Hawk game)

WiFi Connection
Mario Kart DS: 4 player racing only.

Animal Crossing DS: 4 players in one town at once.

Mostly to annoy you.

....but I would guess it has something to do with what the hardware can handle well in terms of uploading/downloading to different users to keep everyone on the same page without noticeable lag*.....other than that I don't know

*is just a guess

So many promising titles, and yet no attempts to bring Jump Supoerstars over.... Those b@stards. How Maddening. >.<
Sounds a lot like "Goeman syndrom." I wanted Mystical Ninja DS.

Namco is making me mad. A Tales game would be great, since from what I've heard, not only will the newer Tales games be PS2 exclusive, but also not even released outside Japan.
Those double b@stards.
The least they could do is give us some more Splatterhouse.

Oh well. The DS is finally getting some good attention from others. I guess Lunar: Dragon Song is the DS's real RPG begininng. About time too.

It was a Japanese press conference so thats why there are titles there that you wouldn't have heard off or will never see in the West. That mainly why there wasn't any news on a JSS release in the west. For one its out in Japan and two it was talking about Japanese gaming not western. xp
