Awesome I wish I had a record player so I could buy vinyl.

Curiosity question....How much are vinyls usually? I never really paid too much attention to the price.

That one I got for about $33 off ebay, due to it being out of print. I've seen them range from 5 bucks for little 7" EPs to hundreds for some uber rare necro-kvlt s**t

I need to especially since Rich Walker said Miskatonic releases are going to be released as strictly vinyl in the future.

So how much better does vinyl sound than an mp3 or CD? I believe that vinyls are of course more sturdier than CDs. At that what I think since my dad (used to be a DJ) had vinyl from way back when and CD break and scratch after like a year depending on how well they are taken care of. Of correct me if I am wrong I could be cuz I am only speaking from personal experience lol

Vinyls sound so much more crisp and organic, if that makes any since at all...

Its like using a distortion pedal as opposed to using the overdrive on a big ol' Marshall tube amp.

if you get the right amp you shouldnt need a distortion pedal though.

anyway, back to the original subject, vinyl is ******** awesome. much better sound quality. and i tend to get my vinyls for around $10, when the same cd usually costs $15-20. cassette tapes are even cheaper - around $3 for what would be a $15 cd. biggrin

and that was the exact point I'm making. Who in there right mind would use say a Boss "metal zone" over a 200w Marshall tube overdrive? biggrin

oh i get it. i'm used to playing with guys who use solid-state, so they need pedals, so i took your comparison in a backwards sense. 3nodding

i myself am trying to convince them to spring for tubes, so they can see the light, but they're stubborn and like their line-6's
