I don't care for the over-the-top-make-your-ears-bleed female singers. Haven't been impressed by the more extreme bands either.

It's not even the ear-bleeding vocals, it's the fact that most of goth seems hell-bent of ripping itself off; every band sounds like the one before it. This female fronted fad, is old and over played because most of these poor females can't even sing well. Mediocre band puts a woman out in front, tells her to sing like an opera star, she stumbles through each song, and it ends up sounding generic.
