Beyond the grassy expanse behind the house, a line of trees marked the beginning of the forest's edge. The trees were tall and old, but spread out from each other, letting plenty of sunlight or moonlight filter through the branches to the ground below. The ground beneath the trees was grassy and occasionally covered with flowering groundcover. Moss grew on the trunks of the trees, and deer were often seen meandering beneath the spreading branches. Beyond this friendly edge one can see where the true forest begins, dark and deep. From almost any point within this strip of trees, the house can be visible between the trunks or through the leaves.

Blue reached the edge of the forest and stopped to wait for everyone to catch up.
Indy walked up to Blue and looked around. "I wonder how long we're going to be wandering around here." He mused.
Eros stopped just inside the meadow and waited for the rest of the group. "Everyone come this way!" He thought sending the message to everyone in their group, "We're almost to the woods."

Corny was still running and when she tried to stop slipped on a wet leaf and right into a puddle. "EWW!" She jumped up quickly, brushing off the clinging leaves and the mud on the seat of her pants. Azure barked with laughter. That human needed a set of breaks on her feet sometimes. Using her wind ability, she helped remove some leaves and dry Corny off a bit. Kellan fluttered down from the sky, coming to rest in one of the trees. He wanted to know where they where headed, since he wouldn't be able to clearly see the others through the trees above.

Stalker lodded after Corny and Blue, also skidding to a halt, as not to trip over her clumsy friend, "You okay?" She blinked, offering her a helping hand. She jumped when Paine loped ahead to meet Blue and the others, Stalker giving her an understanding glance.
Paine retracted her paw quickly; Stalker had almost stepped on it! She snaraled in offense, but then she saw why and hummed a laughing whine to herself. She barked something at Corny, and a greeting to the blue wolf with her, then leapt past her owner and tried to get with the others-Being sure to keep her distance from Indy.

Blue looked back in time to see Corny slip and fall on some wet leaves. She stared at her friend for a second before laughing. "That was so funny!" She said laughing. When she finally stopped she looked at everyone gathered there and pointed to the small path leading into the woods. "We'll just follow this path and then we'll be at the shack." She said walking into the woods. She took her time going down the path so she wouldn't walk off it and get lost like last time.
Eros followed everyone to where Blue was. He nodded and grinned. "Don't walk off the path and get lost." He said also remembering last time. He sent a private thought to Blue about how they got lost and received a glare.
Indy followed Blue and Eros down the path and looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary here. After a while they ended up walking into a clearing with a shack in it.

Corny rolled her eyes and smirked, though her cheeks turned pink. "I meant to do that!" She claimed loudly as she plucked off the last leaf. "I'm fine Stalker." She said with a small wave of her hand. She shook her head at herself and walked after Blue. Azure barked back at Paine and wagged her tail, skipping after her human. Kellan clicked one of his beaks. "A shack. Alright." He said to himself as he took to the air again, flying high and quickly spotting the shack in the woods.

Conner had been walking for some time now through the woods, having been sleepwalking again. This time, he had somehow reached the small pool inside the forest. Finally! He could smell the main house from here. He must be close by. With a long stretch, he started cleaning himself up. It would be no good for the others to see him a tousled mess.

The little puppy following beside a white female did not look all that pleased at all with the direction they were going. They were on the trail back to the main house. Are you going back already? I want to play some more. The puppy whined, looking up at her. Yuurei flattened her ears against her head and shook her head. If she didn't respond, it would go away just like all the others. I know you can hear me! "I'm tired and I'm going...." She couldn't really say she was going 'home' because for a long time now nowhere had really felt like home. "I'm going back to get some rest." You're so annoying. He grumbled, flicking his tail. "I'm not as annoying as you are..." She flicked her gray eyes down to glare at the puppy that had been following her and found nothing there. He was thankfully gone for now. Sighing, she heard the sound of small pool and walked gracefully through the trees and let out a sigh as she looked around, freezing when she caught sight of a dark green wolf some ways off.

Hearing a voice, Conner perked his head up and looked around. It was a soft voice, and he couldn't quite place it. He went back to tidying himself, eyes open for the voice he had heard. It had sounded like a female's... He would have gotten up to find her and see if she was in need of assistance, but she was talking to someone, so she must not be alone.

She watched him for a moment, studying what he was doing and wondering why he was out in the woods alone. She had first thought this was going to be a long day and that he was just another spirit but she could tell he was a living, breathing creature. Shoving her shyness aside for the moment and letting curiosity get the better of her, she approached him quietly until she was near enough to speak to him but safe enough to run if he was not a nice wolf. "Are you alright?" Yuurei asked softly, tilting her head.

Hearing the soft voice suddenly next to him, Conner froze his movements, wide eyes turning to look at the end of his vision, his head slowly following. Who was that?! She was like a ghost floating though the underbrush. He was instantly smitten. But he was a gentleman first. "Why yes, I'm fine." He looked around for the lady's companion, confused when he saw no one. "If I may, are you alone out here? Would you like an escort to- well, wherever it is you are headed?"

Now closer to him, she noticed that he had a ribbon around him and though she thought it was peculiar, it did look pretty. Shaking her head to concentrate on the questions he asked her, she didn't want to seem weird or strange for staring. Yuurei took a tentative step forward and moved to stand in front of him and caught sight of the confused look but didn't ask about it. "Yes, I am alone. I enjoy the solitude of the forest." She managed a shy, soft smile. "But company back to the main house would be nice though I wouldn't want to ask that of you. I'm sure you have things to do elsewhere."

Conner shook his head and stood up and bowed. "I was headed to the main house myself. It would be my pleasure to accompany you." 'She must have just been talking to herself.' He thought, not giving it much attention. He knew a few wolves who talked to themselves and were fine.

"Really? I am glad to hear that then because I really would enjoy the company." He would keep the other inhabitants of the forest away from her and she was thrilled at the thought however, even though he looked like he was apart of the world of the living as she had first surmised from a distance but then again, she had been known to make that mistake often. Before she could even think of what she was doing, she reached out her paw and brushed it against his own and was pleased when her paw connected with a solid form. She froze when she realized what she had done and drew her paw back instantly and bowed her head. "I'm sorry.... I'm Yuurei by the way."

Conner wagged his tail. "Well then, shall we-" He paused, looking down at their paws in suprise and excitement. "Oh, its... alright. Nothing was hurt." He said with a grin, trying to get her to not sound so apologetic. "My name is Conner and it is certainly a pleasure to meet you, Yuurei."
