So I guess I'm a year late, but better late than never. I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with the product considering that we're talking about a cartoon parody band. As a piece of metal, it's modern-sounding and "mainstream" melodic death--no blastbeats to be heard and guitar tuning that sounds more like speed or thrash. The songs get repetitive and Brendan Small's death vocals barely register as such, but there are still some awesome solos and riffs to enjoy and the lyrics are often amusing. Plus, where else are you going to hear a song about income taxes?

When I first heard the album I was omg this is freakin awesome...now it is a solemn appreciative emotion now. It is still a fun band to listen to.
Fav. song is :Happy Birthday, Dethday...or something like that confused

Dethklok musically, very well done and enjoyable for most songs. Especially since "Birthday Dethday" is something I would play at a birthday party.

I actually thought about playing that song for my mom on her birthday, but I didn't. She doesn't like metal at all (except a song by Dream Theater, I guess they're metal). As for the album, I thought it was cool. I don't like all the songs that much, but I love Castratikron, Fan Song, Go into the Water, Go Forth and Die, and Hatredcopter the best! I hope they make a Dethalbum 2.

Personally,Dethklok is very catchy to me.All of their songs have a ring to it that I just can't help but to like.
