So our 1st football game of the season was yesterday and surprisingly it went very well (considering our last practice was tuesday since we had a stupid pep rally the night before the game)
The opposing band was really surprised how well we played without a drum major and we got nothing but good compliments from both them and the crowd. : )
I personally love football games cause it gives us a chance to talk with the other band members after half time and the energy of the crowd always gets me pumped up! razz
Talk about anything that's happened at a football game!

My first football game was last night. We bombed in the stands the first half, but we did better the second half. We rocked at halftime.

Well, last week was my first football game ever (I signed in to marching band as a junior) and I hate football . . . however, the whole thing was awesome! Okay . . . I'm lying . . . how can I put this? Before half time, we all had a ton of fun playing in the stands and doing crazy things (my BD leads us in a "roller coaster" right before we go on smile ). So that was really cool. Our performance didn't go too well . . . but . . . I think all in all I'm really going to like it.

i hated football games... they were so boring and time consuming. i froze everytime we did one lol

My band was awesome at the football game yesterday. It just would have been better if it hadn't rained the whole time and if we hadn't lost 53-0. xp My band is used to a crappy football team though. Most of the time we don't hardly pay any attention to the game. Then when we get a touchdown it's like "Holy crap! We scored! eek " *flips through flipfile for fight song* whee

We couldn't go to the football game yesterday. Cheapskate school + Gas prices = Fail. :/
But on the other hand, it makes our first game a home game. <3

Football games are really fun. Unless the team is getting the crap beaten out of them, or some dumy knocks your instrument off the stands... stare

Football games are better when it's warm and the home team has a good year. As a general rule, the cross-town rivalry games are the best.
I prefer playing at them over playing at basketball games. At least I understand all of the rules in football. Basketball confuses the heck out of me.

I love football games, although usually our team loses. I never really pay attention to the game, I just like playing in the stands.

I agree that cross-town rivalry games are the best. especially when you have a lot of friends on the other side and in their band. good stuff

I love football games. We always have graduated people randomly show up to play in the stands with us. It's awesome.
Our first game of the season was tonight, on the second day of school. (We had two days to reherse, poor little freshman) It was still awesome though.
The students cheer when ever the band does anything.
