I mean, how does that benefit our guild? Is it just a deposit for weaponry when the battle system comes into play? Do people who donate more get benefits?

I have no idea. As far as I know, it doesn't do anything since I'm a mod in the Viewtiful Joe clan and all I can do is see who donated what when. I was also told that the leader can't do anything with the money either, so I am not quite sure (this is something I asked in the VJC too).

If you read the FAQ it says that they haven't really decided what to do with it but they'll probably let you get extra stuff like having the guild be listed up higher or maybe they'll make a member limit and you have to donate morew so that you can have more people. Just a guess though.

Naw, they won't make anything. They just take your gold and through it into the lost regions of cyber space because you like your guild (note the large amount of sarcasm).

It'd be nice if we could use that money to buy a house for the guild members, or if we could use it to better equip ourselves when the battle system came into play.

They haven't done anything with it yet, but they will in the future. You can see how much gold the guild has collected on the guild home page near the bottom of the screen. This guild has over 8000 gold gathered. I have a fealing that there's some cool stuff in store for us if we collect enough gold. I just spent all my goldthoguh. I'll donate some gold after i've earned a bit more myself.
