I've lost so many good pets in the past five years because of illnesses that the vet could not treat or other animals out in the wild attacking them.
First it was Tobi - my first and only dog I'll ever own He was a faithful dog, when I was a baby he would sleep under my crib and guard me at night. Even if he knew who you were he would growl at you to let you know he was there protecting me. Even till the day he died he would never leave me alone by myself , he was like my guardian angel.
Squealer a white tabby died from being attacked by a red tail hawk
Chopper was a stray cat that just walked up out of no where while i was sitting on my porch one day. I looked down and there was this beautiful Long haired Blue grey kitten sitting next to me looking up at me with his big deep steel grey eyes. He was a curious cat his entire life , always poking around trying to meet new creatures and befriend them. Which was probably the reason he was always coming home with serious injuries *sigh* we ha to have his tail bobbed off because something has basically destroyed it in a fight. Eventually it would be his end , I found him dead next to the back ditch of the property.
Lisa a calico tabby died in the drive from heart failure
Princess a Blue tabby died of liver failure
Jessi the mother of Lisa , Princess, Tiger, and Squealer died from being attacked by a rabid pit bull. She was shortly avenged by my AK47 stare

I've only lost a few, but still. 1st- Nameless kitten My cat Cyn was pregnant and only had one kitten, but it was born dead. 2nd- Nameless kitten 2 Cyn's sencond litter was the same. 3rd-Ash Cyn's only ood litter of two, Nibbles and Ash. Unfortunatley Ash was born...messed up inside. He was smaller than normal, and wouldn't eat. I had to force feed him, and through that I became his best friend. The My mother sent him to a....."witch" who save animals before by "casting spells" but when ash was brought back, his body was wrapped in my stepdad's T-shirt, and he was buried with it. 4th-Nameless Bunny My cat Angel is a very good hunter, and she brings home live baby bunnies. The first and youngest survived, but the second was bitten, and became too docile for a wild rabbit. He was dying, so we got him put down.
5th-Nameless Bunny 2 This one was docile from the start, and was bitten too. I was holding him, and he was calm, then he started kicking, the he went cold and limp. I know he died. He's now buried in my backyard.

I can only remember two: Barley, our simese mix that died of the feline upper urinary infection thing, and Rocky, my brother's hermit crab who died because our cat knocked down the cage, and Rocky died from the fall. Barley was I think 6, Rocky was 1 or 2. We also had a scare of my cat dieing because the vet thought he had lung cancer. He didn't, thank god.

Over my long life time, too many, but one big time and the other now too comes to heart
Pippin, Parakeet, the first of my own, sold to me with illness, after a hard fight he died in my hands as we raced to the only avian vet open on a sunday. That was about a year ago, in 12 days.
Tizzie, my childhood dog that protected me from every bad or evil that tried to come near me, but when I moved out, I couldn't take her. She died while I was in college.

I've lost a lot of pets. more than I could count. It wasn't because I treated them badly, they just live their lives to the last few moments. Currently, the only pet I have left is my pet pig, Maggi.

Ah! Do I have quite an interesting list!
1st(that I know of): Princess Monica Born: May 12th, 2004 Death: February 15th, 2005 Reason/Bio: Princess Monica was my first Dachshund, a no-pattern black and tan Standard. She was very lovable. She died at nine months old after being hit by a car. I still grieve her loss every now and then, the memory of her death makes me paranoid about my current Dachshund, Jackson.
2nd: Missy Born: May 12th, 2004 Death: April 9th, 2005 Reason/Bio: Missy was Princess Monica's sister, my second Dachshund, and was a chocolate and tan dapple Tweenie. She was quite the mischevious little girl. She died at ten months old (3 days and she would have been eleven) also after being hit by a car.
3rd: Freddie Born: January 1st?, 2006 Death: March 9th, 2008 Reason/Bio: Freddie was actually my dad's Rottweiler, but I still had a connection to him. He loved tennis balls. He went through quite a few in his lifetime. He got jaw-bone cancer and had to be put to sleep.
4th: Wilson Born: September 25th, 2007 Death: April 5th, 2008 Reason/Bio: Wilson was my fourth Dachshund, but the third to die. He was a chocolate and tan Miniature. We got him at six months old from a disreputable breeder where he contracted Parvo and died after we had had him only three weeks. My sister still regards him as the Dachshund that was sold to us for only fifty dollars, but ended up costing her over six hundred in vet bills.

I've lost two pets since I moved to Oklahoma...
First, my horse Secret who I miss terribly. She had come from an abusive home and she was pretty maul-nourished. When I got her she was urinating blood and had high intense breathing problems. We worked with her well for a month, I made sure everyday that she had medicine which this really nice vet prescribed. Well I was leaving to the store one day and my friend who I had been working for in order to board at their stables made a decision that was essentially going to lead to Secrets death. She didn't mean to, just secret had been by herself the whole time while recovering and her turn to the pasture in the beginning was fine. Though when she left the two (Secret and her gelding) he tried to mate her and after being under his weight she couldn't take it and fell breaking her leg. They said she was inoperable due to her prior health and it'd be a waste. Naturally I still paid for them to try. Well she was in a great deal of pain and I decided peace was the best thing I could offer her. Never minding the money, I payed the vet and laid her to rest.
My second pet was my kitten Netti. She was a calico colored Tiffanie cat and amazingly beautiful. She had the most unique design I've ever seen for a calico and the sweetest kind of personality you could ever hope for. Well she was outside one day and she was reluctant to come in. Her focus was on the set up of the garden I freshly planted. She was always uprooting my flowers. Well I left her out and I was watching a movie, so later when it was really dark I came out and she wasn't there. I looked everywhere in her favorite places and even at the neighbors. I figured she'd maybe ran off so I should go further. I did and this man's dog and drug her off, I was really upset but I didn't press charges because it was instinct for that. He never made the call, because he was afraid of loosing him, but the owner was really sorry...
