Gaia isn't very mormon-friendly sometimes. If you read my previous posts you'll see I've been trying to debate the importance of morality with gaia since I've joined a few years back. I get I'll never get anywhere with them but...I feel so helpless against something so wrong. How do you help people see?
Gaia makes me want to just cry. Do they really think they are happy?
Pardon my emotion, but it's been a long day and I had a great fireside! ^^

Wickedness makes me so sad, I want to share the truth with people so badly! I want to show them a more excellent way, but rarely do they listen or want to hear it! They are so rude and intolerant (which is what they accuse us of being) and become fiercely defensive. I know things will be better in the end but, I feel myself ache for them.

I think we've all been there. A majority of us have completely given up on the R&M discussion forum and so we leave it alone. But then again, that's how we found this guild to begin with. *shrugs* stuborn people will continue to be stuborn. Just let it go and it may work out better.

I don't go to the normal forums either. Mostly because of the general showing of lack of intelligence.

Unfortunately, it will never change. There are people in the world who just don't care what they talk about on websites. All you can do is live up to your standards, even on Gaia

It's sad that all we can do is live up to our standards in most cases, but in a way we are doing missionary work on gaia.
Just telling them about the gospel gives them an opportunity to hear it or deny it. That is missionary work.
It is sad to see that so many choose not to hear it, but we as lds members have a lot going against us.
The lord never said it would be easy. He only said that it would be worth it. (paraphrase from somewhere)

You can't make people see. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
All you can do is be a good example to others. State your thoughts respectfully and don't be drawn out if someone rudely challenges you on them. Remember they can't feel the Spirit if there's contention around. Neither can you, for that matter.

I hear ya. Hang in there. Others have already said great things. I also have stopped reading certain threads and forums.
All we can do is do our best, be an example, respect people their agency (we fought for the right before we were born), and endure to the end.

I don't know you, and you don't know me but I use to be a regular here (and if anyone knows/knew me it would be under the name "Zeline") But the thread on mormonism, or at least a thread, has been there for years and there is a good chance that it will be there for years to come. Do what you will with it but be forewarned there are a lot of facts and figures and history on the thread. It's not all testimony and obvious lies.

Hey look at the bright side! Your football coach didn't just find out that your Mormon and you didn't just find out that your coach is Catholic! Man, I hope he doesn't hold this against me. He doesn't seem like the type of guy that would let religion affect his decisions but you never know. I could go from starting on offense and defense to being a bench warmer cause of it. I really hope he doesn't let it affect his choices.

Yeah, the stuff people talk about on the forums depresses me too. I think it's said when girls post about all the guys they are sleeping with or make fun of people who aren't sleeping around. That's why I joined this guild, to get away from that.
